The caller claims they are collecting for Payday Loan and states that they are an attorney.
Make them give you their full name and make them provide the state they are admitted to practice law and ask them for their attorney number.
For example if they say "Florida" you would Google "Florida State Bar Association" you can find a listing that you can enter the attorney number and see what name comes up.
The person I spoke to gave me their name and attorney number and I did the search. The name was incorrect and the attorney number belonged to a deceased person.
Never accept if a person says they are an attorney make them prove it. Just because they give you a name and a number make sure you verify that information.
