Once you give money I think it becomes an opening for them to call having dealt with them. Technically they probably shouldn't be calling but I doubt anything will come of it.

I receive calls that the caller id is QVD.  the # is 516 307 4653.  they say their the American cancer .  I sent 45$ in the last 2 months.  they call and call.  one is for clothles for patients.  the next one is for families of patients etc.  I have not answered the phone but they call and call. im on the do not call list.  how do you stop these people?

They call to see if you answer at different times of the day. If you answer, you let them know what they wanted. This info is sold to other telemarketers.

BTW there is one more thing you can do....write the numbers down that call you....then call your phone provider and have the number blocked....it does help

These calls are computer generated and are to see if anyone answers so they know the best time to call when someone is home..  They make lists and then sell them to telemarketers.  They used to be from out of the area Now I am getting them from my own area code.  Now if I don't recognize a number I don't answer it.  If the call is importnt enough they will leave a message.  

I live in the state of Florida where we have an anti consumer Governor and the state does little to nothing about these nuisance calls.

I would also suggest you join the do not call list and report it each time (not thst it has done me any good) but if enough people complain............

I was able to get through, and to have them take my number off of the list. These people have driven me crazy with several calls a day. They say it will take about 24 hours to be taken off of their list.

If you call the original number, you will just get dead air and no pick up.

They are calling my wife's phone a lot lately.  I also got a call from "Blue Green Resorts" (or something like that) yesterday on my phone from 888-899-1210.  She was trying to get me to book a free trip from the Bass Pro Shops sweepstakes entry.  I entered that "contest" over 7 months ago.  I told her I wasn't interested and they still are calling my wife's phone.

No one on the other end when I answered it. Called again and left no message

This number call frequently and does not leave a message... I do not answer it any more.

I am also receiving them and they never leave a message and I never answer them.

They said that my husband signed up to win a vacation at a golf show.  He just said No thank you.  I don't know if they will call back, so far they haven't.

First call from this CA number. (Free reverse lookup said the caller was in CA.)  My Caller ID said "QVD." Anyone know what this stands for?

Received call on Dec. 5th no vm.  At least the 3rd time gotten called by number.

Seems like it is my day for receiving weird calls from unknown numbers,  Just got a call from this number showing QVD on my telephone screen, they did not leave any message on my answering machine.  I have no idea who they are or why they are calling but this is getting to be very annoying. We are on the do not call list but it does not seem to help any.

calls all the time.  Neverleaves a message & I never pick it up.  Very annoying.

I get a call from 949-67-9105 everyday.   Even after I put my number on the Do Not Call List.

Get a call once a week from this number, I don't recognize it so I don't pick up. Seems like some kind of trunk line used by various companies by what the other reporters mention about Comcast and Bass Pros. Gonna pick up next time and make a formal complaint to the Registry.

Received call today after being put on the Do Not Call list yesterday for cell phones.

This happened only once so far: They called and we picked up the phone, No answer and they hung up.
