This guy just called our law office and said the same - he needs to talk to the head partner.  We weed out sales calls too.  He was not very excited to learn that the attorney would not take the call right away and a msg. had to be taken.  Oh well!!

Rick Begando called our tree service and said he had 3 - 5 "exclusive" tree jobs if we're interested.  Exclusive?  And how would someone from CA get these "exclusive" jobs?  Figured it was a scam, glad others had posted on here so I could confirm it.

Rick Begando called our unlisted, private, medical-emergency-only, cell phone number and did not speak.  I thought that the phone had shifted to mute and called back only to get voice mail.  Thanks for the info.  We will block him, too...what a fool!

This guy called my office number, which forwards to my cell phone, at 8 p.m. on a Sunday. I couldn't tell if it was a recorded message or if he just couldn't tell that an actual person had answered the phone when I said "hello?" three times before anyone said anything, and the message was some kind of offer for "exclusive" leads for the kind of law I practice. Sounds like a bunch of bull. Will be blocking.

this last time around he left the # above and it rings right to him, again no info on who or what he is.

I just got the same.  I was out of the office for the firstcall (877 number).  Called back and left a msg.  He called with this 949 #.  I googled it and got this site.  Thx for the info.  I wont waste my time.

This guy called me also. Asked if I was an attorney. I said no and he hung up. I kept calling back because I was curious. He finally answered and I asked him how he got my name and he said there must be a phone line crossed. The mystery is.......he had my name and number.

Trying to find out who owns this phone number.

that is hilarious, I just got this exact thing and nope, he will not be receiving a call back.....

Yep, same exact thing happened with our office.  Sales call.

Rick Begando - He is a sales person looking to sell leads.  He calls and asks what type of law your office practices.  He then tells you he wants to refer clients to your firm but needs to speak directly with the head attorney.  He never wants to give his full name or the name of his company.  FIRST CLUE .... we always know it is a sales call when someone refuses to give complete contact information. His name is Rick Begando.  He currently works for RealPractice is Santa Ana, CA.  He tries to make you think he is going to send you business and it is always in the type of law your firm handles.  Yes, he is rude and will not give any information unless he speaks directly with an attorney.  At our firm, NO CALLS are ever put through to an attorney.  We are told to screen all calls carefully to weed out the sales calls.  This time he uses his cell phone number oif 949-861-5638.  He even gave me an extension number of 111 to try to make me think it was an office number.   When you call back however, he answers (there is no extension on a cell phone).  When you google the telephone number, it shows that it is a cell phone.  After he gives his first name (and grudgingly his last name), he is quick to tell you that if the attorney is interested in referrals, he can call him directly, then hangs up.
