This is progressive law firm telling you that you qualify for President Obama's loan mod and without knowing my numbers etc he said I would save over $450.00 a month.. for a fact and that he was calling only once so take advantage now.. really? he knew what I pay etc and could determine that or he had my social? HMMM guessing this company could be in alot of trouble.. call it back and it says it is "magic something or other...

Calls come through showing Newport Beach.  They generally hang up when you say something and goes to voice mail that is full when called back.  One day someone actually spoke and indicated they were with Triangle Construction in Culver City and wanted to know if we needed any work done around the house.  Also see complaints for 310-984-7640.

I said hello and they hung up.  Called number back, went straight to voice mail and would not accept any messages.

If this is Triangle Construction, they have been calling me with different numbers for several years. Reported to the "Do Not Call" list but that is a worthless law.

Many calls in 2009. 4 calls in June and 2 in July. Filed FCC complaint on 9 July. Another call on 4 Aug, so filed another FCC complaint.

Just got a call from this guy, hangs up on me, so I called back and got some sleazy message telling me to leave a message at the tone.  Who knows what this guy is up to?  Unfortunately, my number/address is public on the internet, so that's probably where the guy got my number.  He could be phishing, checking on places he wants to burglerize, or maybe he's just crazy... (maybe all three!)  Be careful and watch out for this loser!!!

This same thing happen to me today! I was just getting ready to leave for work and I answered the phone.  The guy said his name was Barry and he asked if my dad was home by his full name.  I told him he wasn't and he started saying how I sound amazing on the phone and I made him spill his coffee everywhere and he just continued to say how amazing I sounded on the phone. I hung up and called my dad right away and he tried calling the number and gets an all circuts are busy recording and when I call I get a creepy voicemail. This really freaks me out with my little one at home with the Nanny!!! Who is this guy!!! We need to report him!!!

Got a call from 891-8837.  Did a look up and found this forum instantly.  I asked hello and they hung up.  Why can't this number just be disconnected?

Same as the others have reported, except we've never talked to anyone from this number that we're aware of.  We do get a lot of home remodeling calls, so it is possible we've talked to someone from this number and didn't realize it.  Usually, however, the phone rings, we answer, there's no one on the other end.

A man call and asked if I was the homeowner then hung up.  Very strange.  Then I called back and a voicemail said the extension was busy.

Answered the phone call, asked in Spanish: who is calling?  and there was no response followed by the phone hanging up

Receive calls approximately 9:30 every day.  No one is ever there.

I answered the call without looking at the ID.  He knew my name and asked what I wanted to have done on my house.  He was laughing and talking like a high school idiot, but sounded like an old man.  I asked him what he was talking about and he said I should have the trim work done.  I told him the association does that, and he said, "You don't want to do that?"  Then apparently spoke to someone else in the room, then asked what I wanted to do in the house... then I hung up on him.

Calls from 949-891-8837. Repeatedly asked them to not call. Warned they were harrassments and finally warned I would report them to FCC if they called again, and they called! Calls on 18 June, 25 June, 27 June, 1 July and 9 July.

I received a call, said hello and they hung up. I just reported them to the Do Not Call registry.

The number called our house trying to offer doing a quote on home improvements.  Asked him how he got our number, and he said 3rd party agency.  I told him we had a contractor already and did not want him to call us.  He agreed to put us on the do not call list.  When I tried to call the number back, I received a very odd voice mail recording - sounded like a theatrical voice disguise.  Very odd.  I never trust unsolicited phone calls from anyone.  Always be suspicious.

Same thing for me - I pick up the phone and there's just a short burst of room tone, then nothing. On the net I got the same information about it coming from Newport Beach, and several websites say they can get more info for a fee, but I'm not about to spend any money on this...

Phone rang at 7/1/09 at 3:36 PM.  They hung up when I answered.

I answered phone and a women answered and said that they were working in my neighborhood and was wondering if I need any home remodeling done?

I said that I would like to know why she was calling me since I was on the "Do Not Call list."
She became very nasty and spiteful and told me that they can't keep track of any such thing.

I wish someone could start doing things to these idiots that keep calling at dinner time.

Received a call 19498918837  do not pick it up....  even if you see it on your ID CALLER.... do not pick it up....  This number should be reported..

this number has been calling me 2x a day for at least 2 weeks.  tried to call back but mail box is full.  whoever is calling just stays on the line without saying anything...creepy!

Got a call from this number.  The guy asked for my dad by his first and last name....he pronounced it correctly which is rare.  I said "he's not available right now, can I leave him a message?"  The guy said "sure" then he hung up.

same caller no name, some crazy, crazy lady who screams into the phone???  She says to call her at 888 848-0981.  No one answers when we call back. I am reporting this crazy to FTC
