Very rude people keep calling here for solicitation. When I tell them they already have my information, they say something rude or hang up!

They're back at it again beware I the scam that says they wanna lower your bill

Nasty B....Bianca claimed to be from "Preferred" and that they are an AT&T wholesaler.  Told her she was wasting her time.  If I want ANYTHING from AT&T, I will call them directly! Caller ID said "California".

Bianca called from this number.  NASTY person!!!  I would not deal with her even if this was a legit call!!!  Which it is not.  

Says, after asking 3 times, that she works for "Preferred" and that she is a wholesale provider for AT&T.  We do not deal with anyone except our very own AT&T rep.  Explained that in great detail to her, more than once,  and she was just plain ole pissy.  Quit calling me and I will stop wasting all of our time!

Caller ID says "California".  

Sad part about all this is AT&T can't be bothered to set up their system to accept www.nomorobo.com and spare us all at least some of this aggravation and wasted time.  So, every time they call me I now call AT&T.  

this number called the business that I work at today, and asked about who was in charge of our AT&T phone lines.  I told him that would be our corporate office and he yelled at me saying 'yea right, your corporate office.'  He then hung up on me.  These people need to start respecting other people's time and learn some customer service skills in the meantime.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

This fool called and offered me oral to switch phone service. WTF? I wish these fools would get a life.

Same as everybody else claims to be from ATT calling about my long distance needs to speak to the owner. I told her if she was from ATT she would already know my name, she got rude and defensive then hung up the phone

They call all the time!  They say they are with AT&T and then they say they are Preferred Network.  Stop calling us all you losers!  Who actually falls for your crap!!!!

scammers/phishers/spammers - telephone resellers trying to take your business from the big phone companies.  they do not honor the do not call list.  ask to be removed from their call list.  do not give out any information.  you can call them back at 888.235.2026 (thank you, poster liz).

Georgia called and when she had time to answer my greeting (she was talking to other people) she wanted to speak with the person who handles the AT&T account. I asked who she was with, she stated Preferred.  I then told her it was nothing we would be interested in at this time.  She then got rude and said how did I know, she hasn't even told me anything yet.  Seriously, does she have to???? While she was still berating me, I hung up the phone on her.

Same thing as others reported. Said she needed to talk to owner of business regarding AT&T Account. I said that would be me and them she ask for my name. I gave her my first name and said if she was called from At & T abount my account she should have my name on the account. I then ask her again who she worked for and she said she was a representative for a company that represented AT & T and she was going to save me some money. I then told her NO she wasn't because I was not interesed and I hung. How can I block these calls??? They have called 5 times in the last 3 days including one call on Sunday night at 9pm.

The Caller ID was California - after 20 seconds of no sound a very impressive sounding guy got on and asked for the person who handles the AT&T account.  - I listened - said nothing - and they hung up.  From the posts from everyone else I guess I can expect quite a few more calls from "California".  

I just got a call from them saying they would lower my long distance bill but needed to verify my date of birth. Not knowing who they are I declined to answer. They are no longer using the 'At&T' line, for me they said they were from century link.

This could be a ScamScum that does cramming,slamming or other undesirable things to your phone service.

Need a solution for unwanted telemarketer calls? Here is a way to get them to stop calling your number. Scam the scammers. When I receive these calls, with a live person, as soon as I realize it is a scam I interrupt them and polity tell them to call a government agency in my area. My business is close to Atlanta so I usually the FBI address and phone number for fake check scams. For telemarketing scams I give out the FTC?s number. Do not use emergency numbers. When you give them the number be sure to give out a real contact name to the agency of your choosing. My script goes like this, ?Oh, wait, you need to call Jim Jones at 123-456-7890, that?s Jim Jones at 123-456-7890.? I always end the conversation with ?Thanks for calling, have a nice day.? Give it a try, it?s fun, doing this will put you in a good mode. You have better things to do than report the caller to the government, have the scammers call the government for you. Copy and paste these instructions we need to get as many people on board as possible.

These people call our business phone every single day and never say a word.  According to the comments, this has been going on for years.  Why are thugs like these allowed to harass american citizens?  We are on the do not call list but what good is it?

Call from same number claiming to be from Century Link and wanting to change my long distance plan.  I went ballistic on the guy telling him I am not authorizing any change to my plan. I pay a set price for long distance and he was saying it was going to some amount per minute.  He hung up after I went off on him.
Complete utter scam they ought to throw these people in prison.

Watch out for this caller.  The first words out of their mouth were "Hi I'm xxxx calling on behalf of AT&T".  I've had this conversation many times, with AT&T, and NO COMPANY is allowed to tell you that they're with AT&T unless they ARE AT&T.

Simply put: If the caller ID doesn't SAY AT&T it's not them.  Don't fall for it.  On our caller ID it showed up as "CALIFORNIA".

Woman busy talking to someone else. I waited until she said hello. I then AGAIN repeated my greeting and she wanted to speak to someone in charge of our AT&T account. And that the call was regarding "A billing problem". I told her to call corporate, and she said "Oh, I have that # right here". Whatev!

My local is AT&T, but my long distance is with a very small company that gets me even better rates than AT&T.    .03 cents in TX and .06 cents for out of state.

Some friggin moron, calls but never says anything. Calls every day. Looks as these idiots have nothing to do. Wish they would break out in little peters and piss themselves to death.

Got a call from 949-930-2279. Caller ID came up as California. Called the business number. When I answered the guy on the other end said he had a wrong number.

We've gotten these calls in waves, seems like every day for a week or two, trying all of the pitches listed below, save us money, we're late on payment, etc. etc.  Tell them to put you on their DO NOT CALL LIST. If you continue to receive calls from them, file a complaint with the FTC at:

This buisness still exits and is still saying the same lines.  Some preferred company by AT&T.   NOT!  This is my third call in 2 weeks.  I just beat them to the punch line.  Ask to put me on your do not call list and they just hang up.  They sound young.  Must be a new crew.  

Caller ID just says California

This number calling for my Dad Robert. Was saying my Dad owed her daughter $5000.00. Said the same thing to my Dad. What a new low for scamming. :(
