Telemarketer selling tv ads for $3.00 a day

Robocall selling advertising.

When I looked at the number mentioned above and heard the message they left on voice mail, it was suggested I call 800.8801900 which is probably the same.

Their automated system called me and I swear the voice was an auctioneer.  I hit "1" and responded in the same speed with a pitch for them to use a cab.  The guy did laugh and say he would remove our number. I doubt it, but at least I feel better.

Some automated call wanting us to advertise on local television. Caller ID was 949-988-2502 and wanted me to call 800-880-1906. Based on other reports the name of the company is PlayMyAd.

A total scam.

Started prattling on about buying advertising on local television. If I wanted to use their service was told to dial 800-880-1906. That 800 number has its own entry at 800notes and no legitimate business entry that I can quickly find online. Press 8 to be removed from their list. We'll see.

I called the cell number and got "Justin's" voicemail. He probably doesn't listen to it though.

This is a telemarketer, or otherwise unwelcome caller.

I did a reverse look up. This company is called playmyad.com. I sent them an e-mail message to quit calling my number.  They call my residence on a daily basis and I am on the do not call registry. If they continue to call after my message I will report them. All of their contact info is below:

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

This call came in before we opened so it went to my voicemail. It was obviously a recording that started as soon as the phone picked up because all that there was the end of the recording "mumble mumble talk with us mumble press 8". I have had various numbers with this same Caller ID. I don't know if the actual service is a scam or not, but robocalling with a recorded message without written permission of the company or person you are dialing is illegal. I listed this as a prank call because "robodialer", "scam call" or "telescammer" are not available options.

"no name", please produce the written authorizations from all of the numbers "playmyad.com" is calling with a robocaller and recorded message. I would be shocked if you could even produce one that wasn't forged. Robocalling without written permission is illegal. Well, maybe not in whatever country your calls are actually originating from, but in the USA. The fact that your company is doing that alone marks them as a scammer, regardless of whatever "advertising" they purport to be selling. Now go crawl back under your rock in your Mommy's basement, troll.

1-949-988-2502 -- Left a long message about google advertising on local tv for $95 per month.   Press this press that: ya-da ya-da.  In short, I become a tele-pest or tv-pest.  I am sure that $95 per month will soon become several hundred a month with extras.  Not a good idea.

Unlawful pre-precorded solicitation.  Yes, these "PlayMyAd.com" people called me yet again.  The "ad" is nothing but a static graphic that gets rotation on some TV along with all the other, seemingly only at some buffalo wild wings (seen them mentioned by others, and that's all they've ever mentioned to me).  Sorry, but if anyone is watching a TV screen, it's going to be the ones playing sports, not the one showing a slideshow of static graphical ads.

Playmyad - their number was blocked before they ROBODIALED our office.  They have called my office for years using various 949 numbers.  As a result, we have the entire 949 AREA CODE BLOCKED - thanks to our Digitone call blocker.
Looking back, they have called from 4 other 949 numbers.

Not to worry - if they (or anyone) calls from the 949 area code - they are BLOCKED - BLOCKED FOREVER!

Save your sanity!  Buy a call blocking phone or device; they work and they are inexpensive.  Our phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in and our office is not disturbed.  It's sometimes hours before we even realize that a blocked telemarketer call has come in.

Caller ID said "Playmyad.com"....I didn't answer call. They left voicemail...it was a chopped up robo-call...no idea what they're selling.

Google says they play businesses ads on college and bar TVs.

Any business that uses an illegal robocall does not get my business plain and simple. Also I reported them to the FCC and NYS AG.

813-777-5960 is "Spoof Caller ID Number" the Verizon actual cell number Is no longer in use. Unfortunately, the scammers contacted a secure witness protection location where all incoming calls are instantly traced to their physical location. The boys over at the agency will be knocking down their doors shortly.

Just received a call from this company trying to sell Ad service. We are retired and our Cows can't use the service.

(949) 988-2502 and a couple of other 949 area numbers keep calling, listen to outgoing message and hang up. Theiy are now blocked on our OOMA.

Same illegal robocall as the rest of you folks.  Caller ID shows PlayMyAd.com.  These calls are illegal and should be reported to the FCC.

949-988-2502 aka PlayMyAd.com just called our business with an illegal robocall. These people have called our business numerous times from various numbers, but the Caller ID always shows up as PlayMyAd.com. We just keep blocking each number and then reporting the calls to the FCC.gov website.

not only did I get a call ,I called back and got a susan who told me they can advertise my shop and than passed the call to a leo who was rude and when I said I know the manager of corona bufflo wild wings and said he personally told me this company has no right to put ads up in any of there restraunts he got very mad than I asked to talk to owner witch he said they don't have one ,so my husband told me to call back and susan picked up phone and said the owner is tim. mmmmm liers
