Some guy with an accent pretending to be an attorney called and made the same threats about a legal case agasint my SS# and that my lawyer should call back and keep me out of trouble. This has been giong on for over 2 years. I have never called back and have reported it to Attorney Generals and the police. Just ignore them...they are liars and scammers..

Same scammers and criminals different number every few weeks or so. As soon as I hear the same accent (Indian?) I hang up. They figured out a way to call and make it look like they are calling from a number you will be familiar with as well. Just hang up on em, they will get tired after awhile.

Just got a call from a indian accented man using an american name of "Avery McKenzie" who claims to be an "officer" from the "Financial Law" division regarding an urgent, time-sensitive matter.  Obviously this is a bogus attempt from these b*****ds who think they can impersonate federal officers and agencies.  Keep reporting these guys to the FBI, IC3, etc..

This guy keeps calling sounds like he is from india (go figure) he states that he is with the department of crime and justice? I have ask repeatedly asked him to stop calling and he will not stop calling

I got a threatening call fomr this number telling me I am going to jail unless I give them $385 today.   I did not know what he was talking about.  I asked him to give me the name of the company I supposedly defrauded over the internet.  He wouldn't,  He said he has cameras around my house and he will be brining me papers on Tuesday to take me to jail.  I am terrified....

He said he was a internet fraud police investigator

Have been harrassed by these idiots. Who can I report them to?

There is no such organization.  Thus, without a doubt - it's a scam.

As a criminal justice student, there is no department of crime. FRAUD. do not give out any info. if they cant speak english then that is your first clue.

A man named Jack Thompson called my work from this number on a day that I was off.  Told a co-worker that he was from the Dept of Crime and Justice and that I needed to call right away regarding a case against me. Scared my co-worker half to death.

Just recieved call from this "jeff"  This is typical and latest scam going around.  Told him there was no such person and that the number he called was a "tap and Trace" for the FBI to stop people like him from calling.  WORKS EVERY TIME!

typical payday loan scam routed thru us from India.  Told him he has been filed on and recorded for the FBI Internet and Phone Scam Unit.  STOPS THEM EVERYTIME

they call me at least three times a week about me oweing money to a client of there but dont give name for the company.
I asked what it is about but they say it was a loan that i took out some time last year. But dont know the date or the amount.
I did take a loan via web site and they must have brought my info but dont have my full SS#.

When i say send me the info they say I am going to go to jail and they believe that the big names they add to there name will make me pay them.

It is still the same guy but differant phone #'s.

So far i have 6 phone numbers that he has called from and he thinks i forget what he sounds like.
