Do you know who they are collecting for?  Who is the creditor they are collecting for?  Any ideas?

Called me at work and asked if I had an attorney,  I said no thank you and hung up.  The same exact person called back and asked again if I had an attorney.  They are calling from the Attorney General's office for a warrant of my arrest and I was supposed to call the above number to get more info on the case.  They made me repeat the phone number and said you are going to call right.  I said no - it's a long distance number, you don't have a local one?  He goes, well if you don't call a warrant will be issued and hung up

I agree.. it shoudl be against the law to have peole calling your home and work and verbally threatening you. WHo are these peole? How is it allowed to continue?

I also had this call. My home, my work. I don't know who they were, but no business should verbally threaten an individual with jail, or physical harm if you don't return their call. This should be illigal. They have no right to call my work and harass me with vulgarity. Can't someone do something about this .... "establiment"? Maybe get the real California State Attroneys Office involved?

I have received about 7 calls today (9-14-12) from a individual with heavy accent calling from this number saying they are from CA Sate Attorney and I should call a Mr Edwards.  I have not called. What I did was google phone # and got this website.

When I asked who was creditor he would not say.

Got a call from the same number, the guy could barely speak english, he told me that there are charges on me because of my social, asked me if I had an attorney, I told him yes, he told me to call 951-344-7135 and speak with a Curtis Jackson. After I hung up I realized that it was the same number that the guy called me from on my caller ID. I called the number back anyway and it was not a working outgoing number. This was so stupid. Some people really don't know how to do a really good scam.

This is a harassing phone number!!!!! That calls repeat times in a row.

exact same stories as above.  told me i was to jail etc. said his name was Jerry wilson  and I need to call some attorney with the last name jackson.  I couln't understand the name he said.

These same damn people call my phone looking for a girl and now they calling my phone telling me I'm going to jail and all this bull**** I told I'm bout to call my lawyer and Im going to my local  police department and turn this number in and I sat there and cussed them out and so  far they have not called back

Same as above.  When I told him I didn't believe he was from the State Attorney's office, he asked "Who are you, WHO ARE YOU TO NOT BELIEVE ME?"  Used the name "Curtis Jackson" as the attorney in charge regarding one of our employees.  Called back to yell at me when I hung up on them.

I just got off the phone with them and told them the police were listening in on the whole call and know where they are located! He called me a stupid c*** and said they will throw me in jail within the hour and hung up! I'm going to call my local police seriously this time and let them know! These people are absolutely NUTS!

They called my place of work all morning long, trying to scare me saying I am going to jail if I don't pay them.

This should be illegal!!!! They have called my place of work all morning long after they had been told to stop calling. They said if I didnt have money or lawyer I was going to jail. Is there anything a person can do?

They called and said that they knew where I worked and they were the State Attorney office out of California after I told them I was going to call the police they stop calling someone needs to do something about this because this is a scam and not right.

Same as above. Called 6 times in less than 15 minutes. Even when I told them I knew it was a scam, and asked them to give me the name of the company I owed money to, they continued to harrass me. I told them if they called again, I would turn them in to the attorney general. It's been an entire hour, and I haven't heard back. This happened to me last year, and they actually called my employer. Fortunately, my employer is a government contractor and knew it was a scam.

This number is calling claiming they are with the state attorney general's office in California saying if their call is not returned a warrant will be issued for extradition.  We aren't located in California nor have we ever been. They are scammers just trying to scare money out of people.
