Hi, i got the same call from this number.  When I ignored the call they harassed my place of employment when I was out of the office till the Manager threatened to call and did call the police.  They had the nerve to say they were going to try again after the weekend I guess.  

Well, I blew the phone online up on five different phone called private by the way and made call over random make a call websites and each time I would ask them question.  When they gave me the last 4 digits of my social I'd ask what's the rest of it.  Every time I'd ask a question they'd get mad and hang up.  One of my friends called and harassed them giving them s***.  After two days of non-stop calls from me and me trying to figure "What Case" they had and me trying to get my info from them they eventually said their was nothing under my phone number and that it must have been a mistake and hung up on me as usual.  They ignored a lot of my calls but I just called for hours and hours for two day.  

I have bad credit and they can't overdraw my bank account but I switched it and I don't think they had all my info so I decided I'd just make myself a bigger pain in the a** to them then they were to me.  I don't know what will happen but we shall see.

Just answer the call and tell them you reported them and you know it's a scam and they will hang up and stop calling

His name is Max Marvin, has an indian accent and he informs me of a lawsuit pending against me and I may be arrested if I do not respond to his calls (at least 3 calls a day for a week now). I don't like being threatened, for one thing I don't answer phone calls from CA 951-389-0290, I haven't done anything wrong and for him to say if I don't return his call regarding this matter, then have a nice day....have a nice day....really

Had the same issue,,,,, just tell then u r recording the conversation, n going to forward it to the police. They will stop... cellphones have great apps...

I received a call twice from a man claiming his name was Jack Smith. He sounded like he was from India. He said that he was calling from Federal Bureau of Customer Relations and he even left me a Voice mail telling me to call him back or to have my attorney call him. I knew this was a scam. How can this be stopped it is very frustrating and it concerns me greatly.
The phone number is 951-389-0290 . It states that it is coming from CA.

I receiverd the same kinds of phone calls word for word and I just called the police and they came to my house to file a report.  I was also told that there was nothing they could do.  Just beware and never give anyone your social security number NO MATTER WHAT>

Thanks for all the info. I also received a call from this number stating the same thing. Even said they would have the local sheriff meet me at my job tomorrow if i didnt go get a green dot card and pay within the next hour. I was so nervous. Thank you again for all the helpful information!!!!

Well, I see I am not alone... I just checked my messages and had 3 of the same messages telling me I need to call back immediately or if I ignored the message all he can say is "good luck".  Guys name is Mack Thompon.  Unbelievable!  If I would have known that inquiring online about a loan was going to be this unpleasant I would have not done it.  I just hope that they don't start to call me at work :(

I recieved this call as well telling that they are going to be coming me to arrest me at 12:00 and be taking me to LA to stand trial for 3 arrest warrants. This idian guy was soooo rude. Luckly my mom works for the police dept so I asked her to check into this and found out its a scam. So they tried to call me back and when I told them I knew it was a scam they hung up on me....jerks

I recievved the same call and told them to stick it and i only knew of there scam because a few days ago i got the same call from another # and had my state police check it out,only after it affected my nerves and my lil girl was very upset to hear her mom was going to jail for something that her mom never did.These are in humain creeps

This is a SCAM , at first I was getting calls from a (508) number saying that they were from an attorny's office .That there was a lawsuit on me about a payday loan, I have nevered recieved a payday loan, I was just looking for one so I knew it was bogus after that.My bank statements can prove that. So I'm guessing one of those website that ask for your telephone number is used for these scams. I told the fitst people off and they stop calling. They didn't even answer when I called them back to find out how they got my number. Now this number called me today and I told howI knew this was a scam and now theywon.t even answer their phone. NeXT time they call just snap, let them have it and tell them you know it's a SCAM. They won't call again.

I have been getting threat messages from this number 951-389-0290 I have saved them all. I call the number back and no answer. I HAVE FAMILY IN LAW SO I HAVE THEM CHECKING INTO THIS FOR ME. I received a voicemail from mat or mack thompon who spoke with a foreign accent could not understand a word he said so i call back ,This guy said his name mark joesph wilson claim he was a attorney and that i owe $ 495.23 dollars and if i dont paid it in 30 min to paypal that i would be arrested and charges with fraud in two hours, when i ask who or what this was this men got so mad and  he started talking so fast that i could not understand him,he said something about the federal burear ,i ask for a cast number this is what he gave me #254NSR85

I was getting calls from another phone number of theirs (old one was a NY area code) and I blocked it, now they call me from a California one.  It's a scam, just google "phantom debt collectors".  Don't yell or curse at them, they don't follow any laws of normal debt collectors.  If you piss them off, they will harass you MORE.  Just hang up, don't answer and don't speak to them, they will get worse and harass your workplace and family if you don't ignore them!

just received a call from 951-389-0290 from a male with heavy indian accent  saying that i had a lawsuit filed against me and i gotta say i got scared because i do have two loans but i am up to date on payments but i do have two bad accounts that are on my credit collection  but they are small amounts but when i asked wut account or who filed  the claim he said he could not give me info so i asked for someone who spoke english and he refused so i hung up and he called me back real quick and said they were gonna send pilice at my address i got scared and asked him again wut it wuz about and he told me to call david cooper at 951-389-0290 ext 346 im pretty freaked out idk wut i should do or if this is a scam just like the calls about a 7000.00 goverment grant

Same problem here said his name was brian johnson, lol, yeah ok. anyways had all of my information and spoke to my husband originally and called him everything except a white man threatening to show up at our house and beat both of our A**. so when i finished feeding the kids i got on the phone and ask who i was speaking to and his exact words were " i ask you first and you cant make me tell you anything but i already know everything about you and your family haha" SCARY!!! then after he finish cussing at me and calling me names then he told me about the law firm then the crimal charges against me. and i have never been in trouble with the police. so he told me to call Mr. ronnie cooper and he would explain the case details. so i hung up and called his number back NOT the number for ronnie, and guess who and answered the phone. a police officer and i wish i could have understood the name he used but i had had enough so i called him a liar and told him he was even a sorry excuse for a scammer! so then the voice on the phone became Mr.ronnie cooper and he actually told me he was a superstar and was bringing 25 guys to my house tonight to "GET" me and my family so i would change my attitude!

These guys are scams i got this call early and he was very rude and treatened me in the same manner I am going to make a police reports anyone know if their is a way to sue them for harrasment and press chargers against these people.

Man with indian accent called stating I had criminal charges against me and warrants for my arrest in CA. I called him some very rude names and told him to go back to his own country and stop trying to rip off americans. NO ONE SHOULD BELIEVE THIS SCAM! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!!!!! Call your local police dept for support and direction as to what you should do.

I JUST RECIEVED SEVERAL PHONE CALLS STATING THAT I OWE MONEY TO SOME COMPANY PAYDAY CASH ADVANCED LOANS. CALLER STATED THAT THERE WERE FEDERAL CHARGES AGAINST ME FOR CHECK FRAUD AND ETC. HE DIDNT ASK ME TO VERIFY ANY OF MY INFO UNTIL I ASK HIM DID HE KNOW WHO HE IS SPEAKING WITH. I CALLED MY BESTFRIEND I WAS SCARED AT FIRST UNTIL SHE STATED THAT SHE RECIEVED A CALL FROM THE SAME NUMBER AND THEY CURSED HER OUT LOL..... THE GUY I SPOKE WITH WAS INDIAN AND I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING THAT HE WAS STATING TO ME. HE PLACED ME ON HOLD WITH NO HOLD MUSIC AND WHEN I CALLED BACK THERE WAS NO VM..... SO PLEASE DO NOT BE SCARED WHEN YOU RECIEVE THIS PHONE JUST FILE CHARGES ON THEM.

This india accent person called asked for my husband gave him a this number & told him to speak to a mark victor. So now there getting clever and changing the name of the person they want you  to contact. He called the number and this so called mark asked him if he would like to go over his rights & he said no i would like more information & get my own lawyer. The guy said that would be a good idea get your own lawyer and have him contact me immeditaly so no more time is wasted.

Thesepeople have been calling all week long. They threatened to call my old job which is a group home for girls. The person actually started using racial slurs! This call terrified me and I wasn't sure what to so I Googled the number and found this site. My nerves are freyed and it took hours for me to call down. I was told I would be arrested at work in two hours if I didn't pay them. He yelled and got very nasty.

I got the same calls this morning. I got so nervous I couldn't speak. I never recieved a payday loan. When I had my friend call back the person on the phone told us we were acting like monkeys!!!!! Thanks for posting y'all. I ddin't know what I was suppose to do.

I received a call from Max Martin today at work stating he was from Lawfirm- Federal Department of Customer Affairs and Business Regulation 951-389-0290, stated it was regarding a legal matter and I needed to call them back by 7 pm or case will be dowloaded in courthouse on Saturday.  I called back and received msg number cannot be completed as dialed.  Then I tried again, silence.  I looked the number up on line and was suggested to look at this site.

I just received the same message, and i called them back and ask for John Anderson and the person who answered the phone responded with he works for me and i said well he called me in a threatening manner and i want to speak to him.He then hung up on me, and i called back, now i was gonna harrass them. so i called and immediately ask what the name of the business and he stated law office of Harris. So, he asked me did i have an attorney and i said im not answering that, then he hung up on me again. That was a sign of a scam so i got on google and it was!! I knew i hadnt done anything wrong, but it was scary for someone to say its a warrant for your arrest.
