Hello all,

Ok so here is the deal. 1. Legally there is nothing I repeat nothing they can do to.
2. They can not send the police.... they can not take you to court....they are scammers hoping that fear will make you act irrationality. They have called me three days in a row.
Each time its Peter Black I laugh poke fun talk stuff basically I see it as comedy delivered to my door. I let my niece answer the other day shes 3 and she had fun singing seaseme street songs on the phone. Today I tried really hard to not laugh but to actually listen to what he had to say this time he threatened to have the "cops" come to my house I couldnt hold it in I laughed till tears ran down my eyes and he hung upI (How rude).  The only thing I would suggest is that you place the fraud alert with all 3 credit  bureau and notify your bank. Other than that when they call tell them your recording the call they will hang up or if you feel like laughing go with it. Wishing everyone hear the best remember every telemarketing call every sales agenda every marketing piece every scam that you will ever come across is built to make you feel something and when humans start to feel we generally stop thinking. Please be rational and you'll be fine.

I told them any outstanding payday loans I had were discharged in my bankruptcy. BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what he was trying to tell me.

Get the name of your state's Attorney General; his address and ponhe number. Next call, give them this information and tell them this your attorney and all further communication be through that office. What they're doing is not legal.

I received 2 calls from someone named Daniel Owen with a very thick Indian accent.  He said that I had very serious legal matters and he was going to transfer me to an attorney name Mark Williams.  So he "transferred" me and the phone beeped 3 times, and he just picked up the phone again and said "this is Attorney Mark Williams".  IT WAS THE SAME GUY!!!!!!!!!!!  He told me that he would have the legal info courried to my house today.  It was really pretty funny.

Received a call from these people, Rob Miller (total script read by someone with a thick accent).  Same threat about cops showing up at my place of employment at 4 pm today.  They had my banking information and ss number.  I was never looking for a payday loan, no money has been deposited into my bank account.  I called back, I spoke to a woman who was as rude as they come...

Told her to bring it on.  Told her I was calling the police and that there are 900 lawyers in my firm, including worldwide offices.

I just received a phone call from "Mark Williams", from phone number 951-489-0220 saying that I owed money for a payday advance. I have never gotten a payday advance. He had my workplace, my home address, my e-mail and my social security number. How do I make them stop calling and protect my identity?

The next time these people call and ask for someone just say "just a minute" then put the phone down and let them sit there with and open line until they decide to hang up. I'm guessing they'll quit calling.

My daughter got a call from these people and they REALLY scared her . . .  I looked them up on the internet for her and found all the posts on this site and many complaints on the Ripoff Report website.
They basically claim you have a large outstanding payday loan with (name of company changes) and that it has not been paid back. She knew she never got such a loan but they then provided her some of her own personal information such as name, address, phone # & even SS# then claimed that the police would be to her location shortly to have her arrested unless she paid $X immediately. She was scared but luckily didn't give them any more personal info and called me right away to ask what she should do.

These guys are true slime bags and I would be EXTREMELY excited to participate in a class-action suit or any other action to stop them.

Receiving calls from this number 4 or more times a day saying I received a payday loan from the company "Cash Advance" for $595 that was deposited into my checking account and that they supposedly tried to retrieve but "I had taken it out by then." First of all I never received any money, and when I told this to Mark Robinson (which is what the guy said his name was.) He said something like hat's what the records show. i told him that i don't have a regular account, mine is through one of those pay as you go cards, so I have a record of every amount of money that goes in and out and where the money came from and where it was spent right online for me to see whenever I wish to check it and that no money ever came in from said company at all. He responded with thank you good day. the issue is that calls are still coming in from that number and more importantly he had a great deal of my info including my social security #, which makes me very nervous that a scam artist/company has that type of info about me.

also did that to me. i live in florida; not a legitmate company. tell them to do what they want. i already called local sheriff office here. they have no legal recourse. pay day loans have a time limit, and from what they threatened me by it was over 8 years. do not deal with these idiots.

And if they send fraudulent documents using the US mail, it's a federal offense, and then you would be able to track their locations, which is actually in India or Pakistan no doubt.  Even though a letter in the mail is what is required by US Debt collection laws.  So, you know it's a scam.

You see, this way, you can't even trace the email unless the IP address on the email you receive is actually the one the email is sent from.  And, from what one reads on the internet about these scams, the info is bouncing all over the world before it gets to you; phony phone numbers and emails.

Thanks for setting the example.  Too bad these losers can't get real jobs; I think I'd rather clean out horse stalls than steal from people, but that's just me.

TOTAL SCAM!  If you have ever applied for a Payday loan over the Internet that is how they got your details.  They are trying to scam additional money.  I had a call from a similar company last week and they sent me a Debt Verification letter in email.  They said they do not communicate via US Mail because they lend via the internet.  I sent them a letter asking for Debt Validation as stated in the FCRA.  Haven't heard from them yet. :)

Got a call yesterday from a heavily accented man, that asked for another employee @ my workplace. Explained to him that we don't take personal calls & if it wasn't  a business related call that he would need to call her private phone. He asked to leave a message.  Said his name was James Miller, & that he was from the Department of Legal Affairs & wanted her to return his call, as I told him she was gone for the day. When asked he said he was from California.  We have had these calls for her before.  When we refuse to conect them they start swearing at us.

If they gave you the banking info they had on file for you it would be prudent to close, or possibly block that account.  I would also keep an eye on your credit report and look for false listings or any other strange activity, if they have your employers information it would be a good idea to give them a heads up about getting a call from some scammers.  As far as getting the calls to stop I have opted to block the number and forget about it, there is no truth to the lawsuit being filed, but they could in theory do some serious damage with the info the gleaned.  Best to just keep an eye on things and stay one step ahead of them so they don't get into your banking and credit accounts.

Just got a call from these clowns, absolute bull, when pressed they gave me my info, scary how much they had, but they could not provide a valid reason for a lawsuit.  They seem to think that simply telling someone living anywhere in the US that california lawsuits being filed for no reason will get them arrested in whatever state they happen to be in is in some way valid.  Also it seems that they have not been informed that transactions involving deposits into an account leave a record, as there is no record of a transfer nor is there any record that they seem able to provide of a contract for said payday loan they are trying to bully there way into some money, please if they call you do not give them more info, do not freak out, try to at least find out what they know about you.  These people are running a scam, poorly, I ended up telling them that in light of there incompetence I felt obligated to inform them that they could shove it and go to hell.

I checked several lawyer data bases and couldn't find a lawyer to math his profile. I do not owe anyone that i have not repaid and I am getting tired of this scam. He gave me my ss number and banking information, what do i do to protect myeslf?

Got it today. Said I owed money for an unpaid payday loan. said they will be at my place of employment to collect or get me fired.  I must go to california state court to pay or SOMEONE would come to my house. his name...... get this .......John Denver! He gave the # where he was calling from, but when I asked for an address, he balked, and hung up.

I did file a report with the FTC. they are aware, but its foreign, and not alot they can do. These people have all your info, so I was told to contact all credit bureaus and file a FRAUD ALERT. Also I contacted my bank., I was instructed to close out the account they had listed and open a new one. They would then monitor it for 30 days, only paying out what I instruct them to.

I hate these "MONKEY EATERS" I am now contacting my plant managers to see if they had been contacted by "John Denver" and explain what is going on.
