It probably wont stop unless you get really mean, vulgar, hateful...or annoy them to where they dont wanna call back..GOOD LUCK and be creative with it

We have  dealt with this before and my best advice to everyone is to have fun with it. Make up some big long story and keep them on the phone as long as u can if u got time to because the more time they are on the phone with you...the less time they have to try and scam someone who may fall for it. These people arent even in this country. They bought your information from websites or in my husbands case "Money Mutual'.....Good Luck, and have fun. I even told them crazy off the wall stuff about having alot of gas, stinking up the house and went on and on...I told them my husband passed away, that didn't stop them from calling tho. They left us alone for about 6 months after I made up a different story but now they are back to calling again.

Called me claiming to be a law office. Stated that they were sending the police to my job to arrest me because I refused to pay back a loan that was due today. When I asked why I needed to pay "Sunny Josh" and not the company, he said its because Western Union only allows you to pay an individual. he really had me going. For a minute, my heart began to race at the thought that they were coming to arrest me. I am so grateful for the internet. I would have mistakenly given all my money to these fools had I not checked google first.

i recieved a call this moring from a michael copper he said please have you or an attorney call me back immediately, If I do not hear from you, i wish you luck as the situation unfolds. Before i called back, i wanted to see if others are having this issue, and so i got on. Definatly seems like a scam to me.

I just got one from this same number saying it was michael cooper, with a heavy indian accent. I'm not responding, because I know i don't owe anyone anything

A man with an India accent keeps calling for me at work saying that it is a legal matter.  He told me to call 951-489-0223.  When I asked that information be sent to me via mail he got really flustered and started asking another person a question.  I could here them talking in a foreign language.  I hung up.  This was a scammer.

I have been getting the same calls. This is obviously a scam. They drew the information from online loan information. They could at least learn how to speak English if they were going to scam us. Probably being called from India.

I ALSO GOT THIS phone call all last week and today at my job, I was kinda scared at first but dang he wanted me to go to walmart and buy a pre paid visa card to take care of the issue I said what issue lol he couldn't answer me. Man i'm glad i'm not the only one out there with this problem.

I got a message on voicemail from a man name John Ross. He said if I did not rerun his call he wished me good luck. I attempted to call back later that day with no success as mailbox is full. So I called the next day. I spoke to a man name Michael Cooper who advised me that he was representing his client US Cash Advance who filed a claim against me. He said that I would be getting served/ supoena by a Sheriff on Monday and that the sheriff will be talking to my supervisor regarding my issue. When I asked why my supervisor would be involved he said they needed to go over my pay check. He then proceeded to tell me if I wanted to resolve this matter that I needed to go to Walmart and purchase two money grams for $548.36. This is a SCAM.

This caller was threatening me at home with a law suit. He spoke with an Indian accent I could not understand. I am thinking this was fraudulant.

I receive a call on my cell and work number advising that a lawsuit has been filed against me and to provide them with some additional information.  I advised that if a lawsuit has been filed, then they should already have all the information that they need.  He then said, good luck Motherf***** and hung up.

i just had a assh*** call me from 951-489-0223 and said he's sorry for the events that is goint to unfuld on me and wish me luck becouse he said he going to have me arrested were i work and he wanted $800.00 from me on 10-6-11 so heres what i thank about it thay can kiss my a**!

I got a message on 10/03/2011 @ 11:53 am the guy name is John Conner claim he is from a law office I  I need to call him  because of legal charges on my social security number. He tells me If I do not call him or my attorney I will be put in some sort of cold file. And If he do not hear from me wish me luck. That no speaking good english scam is a fraud.

I just started getting the EXACT SAME messages and he is calling me at work!  WTF is right!

I got a call at my work and could not understand his accent and would not tell me what it was about and said to call me at 951-489-0223, i called them when i got home and just says welcome and some foreigner answered and asks how can i help you and tells me that i have past due online loans and the police will be coming to my work to arrest me tomorrow, he couldnt even pronounce my name his english was so bad.......it is such a scam and i hope they catch them. i googled their number to be moreno, calif
when trying to call them back, they just hang up

I just got a call from  this guy he said his name was john and that he was an attorney and that my case was gonna go to court if he didn't get a hold of me. i called back and he told me to s*** his*****? what should i do? i did call verizon to have them blocked from my phone so they can't call again!!

This guy with a very heavy Asian accent calls me and tells me that it is very important that I call him back at this number and that if he does not hear from me asap, then all he can say is that he wishes me good luck as my situation unfolds. Call the number back and all I get is, sorry, mailbox is full. Lets take this fraud down and put them in jail where they belong as they seem to be doing this all over the place scaring people and trying to scam them for money. This call came thru on my magic jack so they obviously hacked the system.

Also, does this mean since they have my SSN my identity is probably stolen? How do i track my movement on my SSN?

I just got the same call from this number this morning. They knew my SSN and said that I would be issued a warrant for court but also i would be arrested tomorrow, all on the same day. I did get a loan months back and I paid half but never fully paid it off so i was freaking out. I was ready to give him my information to cancel the warrant but then he told me to go to the nearest Walgreens or Walmart and purchase a pre-paid card and to call him before I activated it. Then I knew it was a scam! How did he even get my info - ESPECIALLY my SSN? Are they hacking into systems?

Yeah got the call from 9514890223. Something about legal fees. But I was supposed to call the same number that called me... Right. Plz don't give these ppl ur info. It was a female with heavy middle-eastern accent.

Got a call from a middle eastern sounding chick asking if I had a lawyer that I was being sued for charges I have against me in California. (Never been to California???) I was suppose to call them back. Never did. Figured it was a scam.

Caller said he was from "Law Office of Dan Morgan" and his name was "John Connor" (really now?).  His accent was so thick and grammar so poor that I felt like I was talking to a Terminator with a broken voice-mimicking system.  Maybe he was trying to locate the human resistance...  Nah, probably just a scammer/debt collector.  Hint to other telemarketers learning English as a second language: don't use an 80's sci-fi film as a reference- especially if the star is Arnold Schwarzenegger.  I cracked up every time he said his name was "Jonn Connah".

Nice try Skynet!  Not gonna fool me this time!

Returned a call to this scammer on my husbands behalf since he works during normal business hours.  My husband had been called at work and on his cell phone and told to call and pay on a PayDay loan (that we don't have) or go to prison.  He was to be picked up the next day at work by the police.  Also, they wanted to be paid by walMart gift card...HUH????   So anyway...many, many calls later I get ahold of this man with very heavy Iranian/mid east accent who was angered to be speaking to me, and that my husband "the broke loser" needs to handle this himself. At that time I told him I believed this was a scam and we'd report. He told me he was sitting in front of a computer screen full of information on me and my husband and would use our SS numbers to steal money from us and cause us further legal problems.  To make matters worse, he went on to say he'd like to meet me in person and pay me 5000 "doll-hairs" and go on a shopping spree in Vegas for a one night stand or a weekend away with him....I'd never go back to my husband after sex with him. YUK... Reported to multiple authorites.  
-Also...they have a number they tell you to call to speak to their attorney...when the Vmail greeting comes on it will say that you have reached the "lawing office"...sure you have...

I received a call from this number stating I owed money on a cash advance loan. I have never taken out a loan. The man was a so called attorney named John Anderson and said I would be taked to jail tomorrow for online check fraud, and stealing. He was very rude. Said I needed to pay them 599.33 to handle the matter otherwise i was going to jail SCAM! what a loser! get a real job like the rest of the world! he is the one who should get arrested!

Scam calls from 951-489-0223. Its obvious when caller will not provide any information. Not sure what the scam is becuase the call back number says welcome and thats it. I gave him a hard time for information, it appears like they are pulling information from something online. I recently had someone use my contact numbers on payday loan website, that was bad enough and this has to be connected.
Heres the deal, collectors cannot call on contact your boss, so if this were real the company would be in violation of the law and risk a lawsuit. Next time they call answer with US Department Of Justice Fraudlant Claims Division,and have some fun of your own.

they tries calling me and the guy had a heavy accent saying I took out a loan and am in default ( I never took out any loan).  He said the sherriff would be here in the morning to areest me so I gave the phone to my husband and they cussed him out and said thanks to him I am going to jail and then he wished him god bless and hung up.  I think that is called harrassment and I cant handle this kind of stress, I have ptsd and am not doing very well at this time so if you get a call from these guys empty your bank accounts because they will empty it. I could not understand the guy or where he was calling from so I looked up the number and here are so many complaints against this place or there would not be so many of us envolved with this company is a complete scam.
