Hang up on her.  She's a scammer.  She can't do any of the things she's threatening to do.

Or have fun with her.  Offer to meet her in person at your nearest shopping mall to pay in cash.  She won't agree - she's half way around the world.  Invite her to share a steak with you.  (Most Indians consider it a sin to eat beef.)  Call her dirty names.

Do warn your boss about her.  There's a good chance she has the boss's number already.  She might call your work looking for you.  Print this tread and show it to them, just in case.

I received a couple of these calls after taking out Payday loans.  I'd usually receive them a week or two after the loan was paid off.  The first time it happened, I called the company I'd taken the loan with and asked the status of my loan, which I was assured was paid in full.  I explained about the phone call and questioned how this supposed "debt collector" got my personal information.  When  you apply for an online payday loan through a "find a lender" site, your information goes into a big pool which is shared with many companies. It seems that a couple of these companies are not there for the purpose of legitimate lending, but rather to grab up the information and later try to scam the people who are looking for the loans.  It's a problem the payday lenders are well aware of and at this time do not have a solution to.  They will, however, be more than happy to graciously provide you with any documentation you need that your loan is paid in full or not delinquent. The most important thing is don't let these idiot thieves get you upset and don't send them anything but a copy of the documentation saying your loan is paid in full.

Yea,

I received a call from this company in reference to a client that we are representing. First, they cannot simply send police to your House, Job or any other location without a court order. This is a civil dispute afterall not criminal in nature. Further, by stating that they are going to send law enforcement etc... this is a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection and Practices Act) or the California State Rosenthal Act.

Be smart and be aware... these people are attempting to scam people out of money.

I received the same call at work.  They ask me to be at the Supreme Court of California Fri @ 10 am.  If I am not present they will send all the "criminal cases" to my employer.  I asked him what are the criminal charges and he said he couldn't discuss that with me.  I responded that this is clearly a fraudlent call and he hung up immediately.

Received a call from this jerk yesterday, at my job, stated, he was a paralegal. Stated his name was Jack Thompson, and that i better call him back or the police would show up at my job, the next morning. Found out he had also, left a message on my cell phone. When I called the number, he kept telling me Jack Thompson, was not there, that he was his paralegal, and that he was the attorney, and if we don't settle this, the police would show up at my job and arrest me. I kept calling him back, and he kept hanging up on me, when i told him this was a scam. I reported it, and going to go further with the reporting, to the FBI, they need to be caught, i remember hearing a story, where this happened to a lady's daughter, and they stressed her out so much, that she committed suicide. Keep reporting so they can get caught. The caller has a strong hindu accent. They will be caught, just keep reporting. Evil has their day. You reap what you sow.!

i received a call from a number, caller left a message instructing me to call 951-489-0227 this afternoon. when i called, i informed the man who answered that i had received a vm telling me to call the number and asked what it was all about, since the vm was so hard to understand due to the caller's extremely thick foreign accent. the man i spoke to asked for my name and phone number...when i gave it to him, he said "oh yes, this is mary _______ with social security number XXX-XX-XXXX." he recited my entire SSN. i immediately interrupted him, told him i'd like an explanation as to what this is all about since anybody calling me and reading my SSN off is either calling about a scam or has stolen my identity. he then became extremely abusive, thats when the threats came...i'm going to send the sheriff to your house a XXX XXXXXXX way, winchester KY and have you arrested. is that a scam? i'm going to send the sherriff to your job with revolution technologies. is that a scam? i'm going to contact XXX simonson. is that a scam?" and continued in this fashion for a few minutes, then hung up on me. i called him back and asked him what company he worked for and just what the f*** this was all about. thats when he said "don't talk about f****ng. i do not like to f***. if i wanted to f*** you, i'd come to your house in the night and f*** you in the a**." he told me he would be waiting for me tomorrow morning at my house. i asked him "oh, you will be? well what are you going to do? since you're already making threats, just come out and say it." he wouldn't. so yeah...to say these people are a scam, that isn't the right word. these people are worthless f****ng PARASITES who live in a piece of s*** shack in bumfucked egypt, or should i say bumfucked india? who are trying to do nothing but scare the s*** out of decent, hard working americans and STEAL THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY. i'm taking the advice from the previous poster and making sure to call this piece of s*** EVERY DAY and harass the piss out of him. good luck trying to take my money, and sorry i'm too smart to fall for your stupid f****ng scam. HAHA. jerks. i hope every single last one of these guys rots in hell.

Same thing as above - only he identified himself in his thick Indian accent as a Federal Officer from the Federal government "office of complaints" and that I had better contact this Rodney Cooper at 951-489-0227 within 24 hours because someone is using my social security number to file serious Federal criminal charges against me.  I hung up on him and then he called right back (at my job) and said that he had to tell me that I had to call this number and got loud and obnoxious with me talking over me and asking "me why did I hang up on him"?  I asked him for an 800 number for the "Federal" office that he worked for and he got loud and could not give me one - stating that the 951 -489- 0227 number was a California number and that I had better call or they were taking me to court.  Sounds like a major scam.

I have not received calls, but my daughter did. She repiorted them to the police. This is a big scam and it has something to do with either the Taliban or Al Quada or something to that affect. They need money to attack us.
I understand they are using some extremely bad language. Senior ciizens are so gullible with these type of things.
What bothers me is that they are privy to so much private information. Just keep reporting them folks and block their calls if possible.
I like the idea of laughing at them and their feeble attempts to speak English. They can't even pronounce names correctly.

I recd a call from an Officer "somebody" he had an accent.  He said I had 3 criminal charges against me and need information so he could help me settle them.  I asked him what my charges were and he said I had to call back the same stupid number this jerk called me from but ask for ext 147 and Ron Cooper and he would tell me what my charges are.  I told him he was full of it and he started telling me all kinds of explicit sexual things he waas gonna do to me.....He didn't scare me but I am wondering how he got my cell number.  I did close out my checking acct and open a new one but I just wish there was a way to get this guy or these guys and torture them.... Yes I said torture cuz that is what they do to some weak ppl who get really scared when these pa**i's call them.  Somebody should find them and we can all take a turn paying these t**** heads back.......

The same people called me today from 858-753-0022.  This guy's name was Dan Lee.  Now when I call the number it says welcome and hangs up.  I was literally screaming at the woman on the phone the second time.  They said they were sending the Sheriff to my job.  Does anyone know of some good identity theft protection?
They had my social security number, where I worked, and one of the banks I have an account with.

I got a similar call from this number and one from 818-579-7689.  Same story.  Wanted me to send them a Walmart debit card or coming to my office with his team and the police.  It's a total scam.  I told him I'd contacted the police, which I did, and asked his company name and I'd find out tomorrow at my place of work.   Call your local FBI or police.  They will find them.
