Applied for a loan got a green dot card for 97 dollars supposed to got a call back and never did call the number back the phone would not connect.

I have been receiving calls from 916-259-9381 telling me there is a lawsuit pending against me and either I or my attorney need to return their calls!  I have no idea what this is for and have no papers in mail to say that this is to occur!  They say they are a law firm of Johnny somebody.  Very heavy accent and can't understand them.  Repeatedly call!  I have tried calling number back and nothing!  Hangs up.

I.had simular calls they call from a 800 messager.service and I call them back and tell.them I giving no.info.or money.and they cuss me out.its so funny its over some payday loans I.never had been.going on for abfew years now everytime they call there trying to verafiy my info to.serve me for the last 2years

Just got a call from a Alex Cooper from the Law Office of Johnny Best from the number of 951-468-0081 threatening me with an arrest. I do not have any loan in the amount he is calling about.  I do not have any docket # or warrants and he keeps calling harassing me and my co-workers...it is getting ridiculous!

I have received a call from this law office my self they will not give any info all they r saying is I have a payday loan I never got only thing it is a different number which is 916-304-4784 it freaked me out until I called an there'd is no warrent thank you for this site.

I have recieved my first 4 calls today, but from a different number. It was 760-385-3923. Adam Spencer, Senior Attorney was handling my case from Law Office of Johnny Beth or Best, such a heavy accent I couldn't understand. The first guy kept on saying I had a lawsuit but since he had my file in front of him, he could not tell me who's name was on the lawsuit. I even asked what state this lawsuit was in (since I recently moved) and he said I have no idea because I have your file right in front of me ???????? I then asked for a supervisor, and the supervisor said that it wasnt a lawsuit but criminal charges where being brought against me. I then proceed to ask what state? Oh they have no idea because it is in the continental U.S. and since its all over, they have no idea where this happened. I never committed a crime and I all the bills I own are recent doctor bills that are $20 and under.  They proceed to tell me to call the same number back and ask for Adam Spencer. I called back and when I was connected, I only heard a beep that sounded like an answering machine. They same supervisor calls me back, and I told them i called the number, but it was the same number. He said oh, its the same number but different places.... I then asked to be transferred, but was hung up on instead

I want in on it! I'm sick of this! They are still doin it as of november and it's not just one number they call from its several. I have over twenty numbers and saved messages with different names. Lol one claimed to be an officer Morgan. None of these people talk good English and all have an India accent. I have filed with identity theft cuz they had my social and acct info. But nothing is being done about it. I have blocked all calls and fixin to scare the crap out of them myself CUZ I HAVE HAD IT!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

i JUST got a call about the same thing! same number! how can ppl threaten you and your family and get away with it?! wtf!? im taking my phone to cops and getting it traced!

I have received numerous phone calls from this number the first time I answered the phone I could barely understand him for the man is either India or Hindu. He told me there was criminal charges filed against me one of the was check forgery and if I didn't pay I would be arrest by the sheriffs at my place of business or my home if I don't cooperated. He has called 17times each with 1 minute apart in one day. If someone else has received a call from this number disregard.

I received a call from Johnny Best law office last tuesday September 11.. 415-376-9750 is the number of the office who called me.. Caller left a message on my cp wishing me good luck cuz i might get arrested of the charges they filed under my name and under my SSS number..i returned the called and a woman answered the phone telling me i owe $300 that dont know ,that will be receiving a subpoena and will be arrested in 6 months. I told her i dont know what shes talking bout then she hung me up.. I was so scared that day and cant concentrate on my job. I was so worried and didnt get enough sleep for 2 nights thingking about this fraudulent call. So i search the Law firm of Johnny Best in the internet and found out a lot of complain against them .. So now i feel better and not worried anymore.. So if u receive a call from this number ignore it.. Its a SCAM !!!!

I just got a call from Kevin Johnson saying I owe 2500.00 for a 150.00 loan but the number they called from wad 415-376-9750 told me I was going to be arrested if I didn't come up with 320.00 by 1 hour or the police will come to my work and my home is this real should I be scared how do I find out

i recieved the call to from a dexter cruise and george williams. i wonder if i should report it to the police? when i stated i dont have a pay day loan they said well go to the court house and tell them that. he hung up and when i tried to call back it wont go thru.hh

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting your employer know what is going on and make the scamsters aware you know what they are up to and have reported them to the FTC and law enforcement.

This hurts other legit companies that will give you a loan. Don't apply for any loans online, that's how they receive your information .

The BBB won't do anything except forward your complaint to the offending company You have to contact the FTC with times dates and names along with the company name

Got a call from this number, stated themselves as Kevin Johnson. They called me just now around 6:30AM, when I was asleep. I picked it up, he started yelling at me, about some loan I owe them, & threatened the cops & jail time if I didn't pay for it. I asked him to read my docket sheet to me, & to give me every detail that is written on that docket sheet. He got mad, started yelling & cursing me out, & he hung up on me. These idiots need to stop calling all the time. I'm glad I saw this now, so now I know this is a scam.

My niece applied for a loan on some site claiming to help you get a loan by contacting the right vendors on some web site. The site had her enter her personal  information for various lending vendors -  I've explained that is a very bad idea but that's another topic.

She used me as a reference we both received calls 951-582-4841 and 916-282-3126, One told her she got the loan but had to pay $150; another called me and said there was a warrant for her arrest for federal social security fraud.

I got a call today from a9518785072 number this morning.   can't believe no can do anything about these idiots...but funny thing is people with accents are the only one calling.....obviously they don't know the laws of collections in the United States......callers name was Mike Austin but with an accent...what a dummy..
