It is A Debt agency--do not pick up call-----ignore

I just received a nasty message from a Rick Allen too....very similar to the ones that everyone else is receiving.  Tried to do a reverse search on this phone number and it came up as a land line in California.  Glad to know it's a scam and will be blocking this number.

There have been a lot of complaints on whocallsme about this kind of scammer, the rogue debt collector. They use robodialers or master key phone numbers that enable them to call everyone in the area where they've chosen to do business. Anyone who calls back is fair game for them, whether they owe a debt or not. They bully, harass and extort money from people,  leaving messages on their phone frightening them with dire consequences if they don't call back, and think nothing of swearing and yelling at them, exaggerating the amount they claim the victim owes, threatening lawsuits, and calling them at work and trying to get them fired. They do it in order to get their personal information and money, and the actual creditor if there is one never gets a dime.
They call incessantly and can be very nasty and rude, so you'll need to block the calls. For landlines, call your service provider. For smartphones, look on your screen for an app market icon, click on it and search for a call-blocking app. If your cellphone runs apps, but you don't have a call-blocker, one can be ordered from www.mr.number.com (US residents only). All other cellphones contact your service provider.
Also, if you live in the US and have a PC, you can sign up for Google Voice, which is a free service that reroutes your annoying callers to another number, while sending them a message that your number is no longer in service. It also causes the scammer's robodialer to delete your number from their database, resulting in no more calls. Setup instructions for your make/model of cellphone are available on Google.
Lastly, do not answer when they call, because they have a 900# which can charge premium rates. They could also have the technology to hack your personal information just by your answering. Keep an eye on your bank account and credit reports, and report these people to www.IC3.gov, because they are conducting an investigation.

this guy called and said i needed to call him back by the end o the day in a bad attitude way

Same guy called and left the same message for me...angry attitude saying he had left many messages and to call him back by the end of the day.

Turned it over to the AZ attny gen's office and will be looking at prosecution.

Had a nasty message left on our answering machine from a Rick Allen @ 951-637-9466 stating he had called several times and left messages for me to call him back - not true - so, I dialed the number and they answered the phone "Corporate Office" and I asked for Rick Allen.  The operator said one moment and then came back on asking if I was a certain individual and I said no.  She then asked if I knew this person.  Again I said no.  I told her about the nasty message and asked that my phone number be taken off their call list because I didn't know the person they were asking for.  If I get any more calls from this number I will be contacting my attorney.  They are very rude and nasty.

Interesting. I receive a voice mail after hours last night with the same message as MM. Nice to know it's not valid and he's some sort of scammer.

Got a voice message from this number too. The man identified himself as Rick Alvin and said that he had been trying to reach me and had called me several times (untrue), and that I needed to call him back by the end of the day. Hm...

A man called and ask for someone that we do not know; when my wife said that he has the wrong number, the man said to my wife "stop lying".  My wife hanged up.  Within a minute the man called back and left a nasty message on our answering machine.
Anyone know what could be done to stop these kind of calls.
