Hard to say if your fake PC tech was related. Some numbers used by scammers will over time generate complaints which exhibit what I've dubbed "Scam Crop Rotation". Might be the same call center changing scripts, or a phone number changing hands.

Just earlier had a call on my cell phone with only the area code on it no phone number 951.., I answered it & this man with an accent from India briefly asked and said to me; "Are you Daniel Mitchell--I'm calling you about  uploading others messages on your computer..," I then hung up immediately..so maybe this is connected to this scam ?? interesting??

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Also received the same call. Once I said I had a lawyer he did not want to speak to me anymore.  However he then started calling me at my office. The number on my cell phone was 951-708-1280. He threatened to have me arrested for fraud or non payment of a loan which I did not have. I could however pay him over $900.00 to make the issue go away. He said he was working for the State Atty's office and when I asked the name of the atty he refused to proived that to me.

They say the are from the Justice Department, but I doubt it
