They are irritating and certainly a bother, but guys, hunker down.  With people calling from out of the Country and making political calls our phones are going to be busy.  You can be on 100+ Do Not Call lists and this will not stop them.  Political calls are allowed #1, and #2 foreign callers are not governed by our rules, so they don't care what you tell them.  Either buy a phone that will block calls or just don't answer, but fighting with them does nothing!  Good luck to us all!

This is a GREAT idea, saves on the vocals. Often times when I see these #'s come up I pick up the phone and just SCREAM!!!! One guy called me back and said quit screaming @ me or I will have your number called every day all day. I changed the number and reported  to the FCC. He called me three times back to back! The SOB!!!

Called on holiday  Told him not to bother me  Started swearing and threatening me    Would be nice if something could be done about this but doubt it

A man from this number called me, I answered all of  his questions, he said it was a survey and when he started asking personal questions like name and address, I said my name 3 times, when he then asked me to spell it I said "nevermind" and hung up. He proceeded to call me 4 more times and telling me to "f*** off" and saying I was a "f****ng liar lady" when I wouldn't spell my name for him! What an idiot!! I did get a word in edgewide which I won't put on here. I wish I knew who to call about this! My 14 year old daughter was listening to the whole conversation and was shocked that this man was talking to me the way he was.

Re. ""non-working" #'s that can call u but u can't call them back", these numbers are spoofed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing to prevent their victims (that's you) from calling them back. Your caller should be treated as hostile.

Got this call...guy with an accent so hard to understand...said his name was "Harry"...asked me questions and wanted my first name...scared me because he was talking about smoke and fire detection...did I have  a fire extinguisher...etc.

caller id said "ameyo" in smallcase letters.  I answered, whomever was on the other end hung up.  Gee, I was looking forward to letting them know this # has been on the DNC list for over 11 years :)

Sounds like the same person.  I asked why he was calling and he let loose with a string of profanities and hung up on me.

Answered the called saying, "Hello." No response, and caller hung up. What a PITA.

Got a call to take a survey.  I didn't  but at end she said thank you for your purchase.  Better not try that.

100% chance these numbers and names have been spoofed.

I get so many of these Bull$**t calls I no longer answer them when I see them on CallerID.

I now shut off my answering machine when I am home and let these scammers ring 20 times if they want, it ties up their progress. My phones only ring for numbers of people I know.

Just called. Didn't leave message. Caller Id "ameyo" (lower case).

Said he was from General Electric, wasn't selling anything and wanted me to take a survey...I hung up on him.

Got a call from this number. Had no idea what she said other then the first thing she said was "this is not a sales call.". Very high indian accent.

Called today at 7:30pm EST and left no message on VM.

Number comes up as a non-working number when called back.  Probably a FAKED caller ID.

I also received a call from the man with the Indian accent.  He said he was calling to do a survey for GE and that the survey was commissioned by our local government.  But after further questions, I determined that he was lying.  He became belligerant and then hung up on me and then he called back again.  He cussed at me and he threatened me.  He said he knew where I lived and I asked him if he was threatening me and he said yes. I am going to report him to the FCC and see if they will do anything about it.

Just answered this #, it was a foreign woman asking about smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. There was a lot of background noise and she kept breaking up as if she was on a cell phoneso I hung up on her.

Same thing happend to me.  When I told him I didn't want to take the survey he started swearing at me.  I tried to call the number back but it says not working.

This number called my cell phone today.  When I said "hello" guy on the other end said "hello". I then said hello again, and the caller hung up.

Bought a Fox Phone Interceptor in 1983 - - still works. Anyone without your 5 digit code can't access your phone. The device hangs up without explanation. Love it! I don't think it is made anymore. To hell with FOREIGN callers. Can't understand the bums anyway !!!

I just got the same call! It was from a girl with a very thick accent, I couldn't hear her name because there was alot of backround noise but I answered the survey about smoke detectors and I actually gave her my first name when she asked! (stupied!!) and then she said I was entered into a contest. So is this a scam?!?! Should I be worried?!?

I got a call just a few moments ago. the guy said his name was Frankie and had a very heavy indian accent he said he was from a survey company but couldnt understand which one. he was asking me about smoke detectors in my home. he never said anything about buying anything but asked my first name and said I was entered into some contest. so I dont know. I have been getting calls from different numbers all day for stupid stuff

This call came in as 951-723-1149 on my caller-ID. The name was "Sun City"., The caller said something about "...sales call.." and "survey". There was so much background noise that I told the guy that I could not understand him. At that point he said "Well F&*&* You", and hung up. VERY RUDE, What ever company it is, I would never do business with them even if they had something I was interested in.

Received the same call and I first said I was not interested.  He called again, I asked him to remove my number.  He said do not hang up I will call again. And he did four times!!  He persisted to call.  Then my husband answered, he did the same thing to him.  Does anyone know what company he represents?

Received a call from this number. the first time, it came up as Ameyo, which is an autodialer. It was a man with an Indian accent and said something about saving money from the electric company and asked if we had smoke detectors in the house. I hung up on him, he called back. I said we are on the do not call list and hung up again, and he called AGAIN. I hung up on him again and once again he called back and I told him if he called one more time, I was going to turn him in, and he started yelling at ME. So, I hung up on him. :P
