They continuously call me very early in the morning--such a nuisance!

If you are insured by United Healthcare the calls are coming from United Healthcare nurses under the guise of talking about your upcoming surgery, office visit, proceedure, etc... My experience with them is a feeling that they were more concerned about saving their employer money than about the patient's well being. They'll try to glean any information about you which may be held against you to deny coverage. After my surgery I kept in contact with my physician's nurse and continued office visits. I was tired of UHC nurses calling and asked them to quit. A dozen+ phones calls later, I complained to my employer's human resource deptartment and that's when the calls stopped. If you do speak with them beware that the call is being recorded. Inform them that it is illegal for a business to call you without displaying their name on caller ID

This is completely bogus. When you call the number back, you get a recording, "You have reached a nonworking number at United Health Group. Please hand up and call the number on the back of your card."
Scammers abound!

The company is Ingenix. Health insurance companies hire them to follow up on claims to see if they are coverable by worker's compensation. If they are covered by WC, the insurance company can shift the cost legitimately to WC.
In my case, they called me today to ask if a recent visit to the emergency room was due to an accident at work. I told them that it wasn't and they said thank you and good bye.

Received 2 calls within a few minutes from 952-367-8300. Woman with strong accent spoke very quickly and asked if she had called this phone number. When I responded asking who she wanted to speak with, she said that she was with Infogenics and that she needed to confirm some information. Don't know why we would receive a call.

It ffrom the insurance company. If you good into the hospital a bunch or alot of medical test. They call to verify if you need assistance. I got the call when I got out and need home nursing. The lady I spoke with calls back every other month to check in that I am doing ok. Plus, if your insurance gets alot of claims in short period of time they call.

This number is from United Healthcare insurance company. It is from their on staff nurses. They call me cause I am insured with them for the time being and recently had surgery and they call to find out if I have questions during recovery.

told me that she was a nurse for a company my dad works for and offering free nursing service that is apart of my dads company's insurance.... WTF?!?! She kept talking about elderly diseases. I asked her how she got my # and she told me that she got it from Delta Airline's Insurance company because I had been to the hospital multiple times (I was misdiagnosed)
She kept assuring me that it was free of charge and insisted that I write down her number.

Some one with an Indian Accent talked so fast I couldn't understand her. Certainly not going to call that number back.

Valid call from UHC. In this case, a nurse calling to offer information about a specific health condition
| Michael 2008-01-04 23:05:12 Unknown |
This is a valid call from United Health Care.

Said it's United Health Group. The call was about "my prescription".
