Called me, and referenced my resume.  Had me meet with a gentleman to discuss my benefits, and then set me up with an executive recruiter to consult me.  Helped me get an interview, and I got the job.  Very unique, but efficient services.  I enjoyed my work with them.

Telemarketer
You can be sure all the feedback from people defending this company are dirt bags that are employed by the company, probably all are written by the same person.  This is just slimy telemarketing.  These scum bags try to get at your 401K.  I told these scum to FO!

almost all of the above positive reports up there are written by Jeff Carlson and/or John Schrupp. John owns business, Jeff manages it. I worked for them for 4 months, from the very beginning. From the begining we never found 1 person a job. We tricked people into meeting with our financial reps. If you meet with them and worked with them, we would give you b***s*** lines like, "Hey I just talked to Sarah, our executive recruiter. Right now the market in your area is a little tight but she is expanding the search outwards into different states." then we would ask if that they were ok with moving since 95% of the people weren't. But if you said you were then we would say that we will get back to you in a few weeks with the leads. B***s***, I never once called anyone again about jobs. They had to call in then we would b***s*** them more, or tell them flat out nothing in their salary range available.
THEY DONT CARE THAT YOU ARENT WORKING PEOPLE, THEY ONLY WANT YOUR 401K's 403B's, IRA's etc...
Oh, and by the way, meet with their sales reps, and see what happens when you say no to working with them. Tell them flat out you are only interested in the employment side. On their websit it says... PLAIN AND SIMPLE... "All of our services are 100% free" but to get rid of you they will say $799 to work the outplacement side because who the f*** will pay it. And then you will never call them again. But I dare you, pay the money for the outplacement services, then sue the f*** out of them when  they cant come through. Or better yet, come to their business site and see that they have NOTHING they can offer in terms of getting you a job!

Here is the truth. Outplacement Services of America had such bad press due to misleading business practices that they changed the name to Trident. The job services side will, in most cases, lead you on until they have the opportunity to have a financial planner meet with you. If you roll money great. If not, you will most likely not hear from them again. I have had experience with this company and the job services is nothing more than a front to get them in the door. Jobs that they may offer as "leads" is no more than what you can find yourself online.

Same deatils as previous listers. Eric provided me with three job openings he found on Careerbuilder and then never followed-up. Disappointing and a scam. The investment rep could only talk about Annuities, which is no way a fit for me.

FYI - I received a similar call today from Triton. I expressed that I would not meet with a FC and the caller hung up.

After taking several phone calls and spending time talking to these guys, I received 1 email with 2 job postings.  One of the postings I had previously seen and was pulled from Careerbuilder.com (which is where they got my name in the first place), and the other was pulled from Ladder.com.

I responded with feedback to each as requested - then they dropped off the face of the earth.

They must've found a fatter pidgeon to coerce into handing over their retirement savings and left me behind.  (Their financial planner guy never even contacted me, and I waited the length of the scheduled evening for him to call.)

Don't waste your time - just walk away.

bull crap!  They did not force the roll over in any way.  Sounds like you are a bit paranoid!  Are you by chance writing this because someone told you to?

Thank you all for this information when I searched....Eric called today and left a message from this number and I unknowingly called him back (left a message)...but from what I am reading I am not interested.  There are far too many legitimate recruiters out there that do not feel the dig into your personal finances or planning. I plan on taking no calls from him or this company in the future.

Got call from 952-448-2397 on my cell on 8/20/2008. No one spoke despite my having said hello and identifying myself repeatedly. This is the second unsolicited call I have gotten from what I see from your helpful web site to be a job placement/financial planning company.

I'm in the Chicago area and recieved the same email and had a similiar phone conversation with Kevin Hansen on Monday August 11th.  Since I just left my job with Integrys and my 401 was still with the plan at Integrys I thought this program sounded good.  I met with the financial guy Sam Craville yesterday.  We had a lengthy coversation and I like some of the producst he offers, but I have not committed to anything with him yet.  The recuiter from their office has been assisting me with job leads in my area.  I'm very excited about one of the job leads with CDW for Microsoft Engineer - Active Directory/Exchange which is right up my alley.

In a further note if I get a job using their service I'd be happy to move retirement assets with thier guy.  My investment firm has never done anything for me to help me find a job!

I was contacted by Kevin Hansen who explained their two part program, working with an internal recruiter and Bob Kort for the financial part.  The following Monday I got a follow up call from another one of their staff.  At that time I indicated that I would meet with Bob, however, not at my house.  Suggested another location.  I was told it would be more convenient for me to meet at the house and that my financial numbers would be close at hand.  I indicated that would not work, that another close by location would be just as easy and at this meeting I would only be interesting in hearing what they had to offer.  I would not be making a decision at that time nor sharing details of my personal finances.

They continued to say that was not their policy and didn't know if Bob would agree to that.  I finally said, "Have Bob call me and I am sure we can work out something."  I never heard back again, and the 11:30 Wednesday appointment was a NO SHOW. It is now a week later and still nothing.

It is what it is.  I don't have time for games and I am moving on.
Thought you would like to know.  My experience and personal opinion is to handle with extreme CAUTION.

Bottom LINE...I met with there financial guy bob kort.  I did not end up working with him but they still helped me find a job in my field at an acceptable salary range.  However, i did feel like I was being pushed into the meeting with the financial guy

My experience has been much different than what I read above.  They definitely have you meet with a financial planner.  Brad, the gentleman I met with explained to me that his services are offered because it helps cover the cost of their recruiting efforts.  Apparently it isn't a perfect world, and they don't place every client they have ever worked with.  I already had a financial planner, but it was a real eye opener to see what all my options were, and I appreciated the meeting greatly.  As far as their recruiting services go, I worked with Sarah and she was a breath of fresh air.  She exposed me to opportunities that I couldn't find by my traditional search efforts.  I would give these folks a shot, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

These guys are a bunch of grifters simply preying on your 401k funds to earn themselves some fast roll over commission money.  The whole con game abruptly ended when I refused their financial services offer.

I was called yesterday.  Before I meet with them, I'd like to know how it is going on your new job.  Was the salary in the range you were looking for?  Is the industry something you had experience in before or was it something completely different.  Are you still satisfied with your experience?

lulu,

They do not charge a fee for their help.  I was told upfront that there was not a fee.  I have not been asked to pay a fee.  They told me they are paid by the companies they work with and when you get hired they get a commission from that company.

I recieved a call regarding my resume from them.  They said they were going to help me find a job and asked me to meet with Bob Kort to discuss financial planning.  I agreed to the meeting to get help finding a job.  After meeting Bob I decided not to make any changes with my financial portfolio and Bob agreed with me.  I recieved a total of six job leads via email from thier recruiters.  I decided to apply to some of the jobs they sent me.  One of the jobs they presented led to an interview last week and I was hired on monday.

In my opinion they followed through on with what i was told.

I would ask for a complete list of references of companies and candidates that they have placed into companies that you can talk to about their experience with Outplacement Services.  If they are legitamate they won't bat an eye at providing you with this information.  Believe me their first priority is having you as a client using their financial services.  THAT is how they make there money.  Everything else is just fluff.

I was contacted in March of 2008 regarding my resume.  Said they were concerned with my professional and financial future.  I was a little skeptical at first, however the job recruiter contacted me the day following the initial call I recieved regarding enrollment in the program.  I met with their financial planner who provided some unique input and has given my wife and I a great deal to think about.  I have not done business with their planner as of yet.  Their job recruiters have been very professional and courteous.  They continue to work with me on a weekly basis via phone and email.  They have Followed up with several job leads.  Many of the jobs were not a good fit, however, the recruiter continues to search for jobs and assist me to find jobs that are a good fit.  Surprisingly pleasent service so far.

I was contacted today.  I was told I HAD to meet with their financial advisor in my home.  I said I preferred a restaurant and they said, "NO."  They also immediatly removed me from their program.  Sure smells like a scam to me.

Called me, and referenced my resume. Said no fee, no obligation.  Said should have no trouble landing a position.  Said I should meet with Financial Advisor, Bob Pollack, to discuss 401K rollover.  I said I was not interested in changing Financial Advisor. Caller said that they were not a charity and that 50% of his co. revenue came from such fees so if I wanted to continue with placement service I would have to pay $799.  I said if 50% of revenue was from financial mgt fees that they were not primarily in the outplacement business. Doesn't quite pass the "no fee, no obligation" test.
