This D-bag called and left messages on my cell and on my mom's phone saying it's an emergency from the number 800-313-5192. You call it back and it's just a personal voice mail box message not an actual company at all. Also, he's demanding payments for a debt I've been paying with the real credit card company for months now. They had no idea or affiliation with this man. He is just trying to take your money. If you're concerned about the specific debt he mentions look up where it originated. Even if it was sold, they can tell you what agency it was really sold to and you can contact the right place to pay it off.

First, no debt collector can collect from you on a debt owed by someone else - even a family member - unless you cosigned for the loan or are an executor on their estate and there are funds left ot satisfy the debt.   They MUST provide written proof of the debt to you and until they do they cannot continue with any attempts to collect.    If they are calling on behalf of debt unders someone else you need to find out explicit details on who is calling you - company name, address, phone, etc.  Ask them which company they are collecting this debt for.  It's important to find out if they are the original merchant or a collection agency which the account has been farmed out to.  Then write and deliver a certified letter to both the originating debt company and the collection agency explaining that the person they are seeking is no longer at your number and that you are NOT the person responsible for this debt and that they are to cease immediately calling you and that failure to do so will result in a lawsuit.   If they call again you can sue them under the provisions laid out by the FDCRA (Fair Debt Collections Reporting Act) and the FCC - who prohibits repeat calls to people with which the caller has NO business relationship.   Make sure to file complaints with the FCC, BBB, and most importantly the Attorney General for your State of residence.

This person called and left a message. He said his name was Ralph and to call him back. I did not call back. I looked up this number and see that other people have received his calls. The called ID said CFC. I do not know who that is either. This is just an FYI that he is at it again.

This jerk calls me non-stop. He calls me at home, on my cellphone, even at work.  Don't be afraid of him - treat him like he treats you and that's like s**t.  He can't keep his stories straight and when I questioned him about it he yelled and hung up on me.

He called my parents and was very rude. He made some very rude comments to them. I called him back and he claimed he was an attorney hired by the credit company to collect a debt.  Although the debt was mine, something seemed fishy.  The card he claimed he was collecting for called me about my debt.  They didn't know anything about him or his company.  When I asked him who he worked for he was hesitant and didn't give any clear answers.  How do I get him to stop calling me and my parents?

It's bad enough that he tried to pass himself off as an attorney, but he tried to run the charges through my credit card twice within 5 minutes. Good thing I have my credit card company alert me when a charge is pending. I got the two emails alerting me to the double charges at the same time. I had to cancel the account and ask for new cards.

I called my credit card company and the charge was still pending.  I told them to cancel it, which they did. They will deny the charge. Had I not stumbled on this web site and found out about Chris Campbell and that he is not an attorney, I would have been stuck for over $2,300.

He said he is an attorney and had a lot of information on a debt that isn't mine, but belongs to my daughter. Unfortunately, I fell for his line and paid off the debt with my credit card.  What a fool I was.

He has been checked out and there is NO link between a collection agency and this obnoxious, annoying man. When I called him back, he answers with just, "Hello, this is Mr. Campbell, can I help you?" and then puts you on hold due to being on the other line. I asked him his name and he said it didn't matter, so I called the number back to get it! He called my elderly mother a liar. Beware.

He is trying to force money from us on an account that someone else has. When we call this number he answered, "Hello, loudmouth" and when we asked for his superior he yells, "what do you want".

This guy was an a**hole.  He called house phone for another member of the household and refused to give any information so I hung up on him.  Then he called my cell phone and I am not even listed on any accounts he might be collecting on, which tells me he is using some investigative search engine and pulling numbers that are listed with the address.  He told me his company name didn't matter so I called him an a**hole and hung up on him again.  Since he refuses to give any information I figure I will have some fun with him and call him throughout the night and see if he answers the phone at 2 or 3 in the morning.  Let's see how he likes being harassed.  Everyone should join!  Call this joker at 3:00 a.m..

On 03/31 a guy kept calling my phone.  Five times within 5 minutes.  I told him to stop calling me or I'd would sue him for harrassment.  He turned around and asked if I wanted to get sued.  I hung up and put the phone number under reject list.
