Actually .. A 952 area code is based in Minnesota. Do your research before throwing in your "two cents".

Someone breathed heavily into the phone, prank call

actually that number isn't based out of MN, seattle or olympia: it's a georgia number, cummings, GA. they call me constantly, too, but i never answer and they never leave messages. i am considering doing what my late mother used to do: she kept a police whistle hung by the phone & blew the hell out of it in cases like this. of course in those days it was usually almost exclusively my & my brother's friends prank calling the house, but "the whistle works".

what's irritating is i am on the do not call list, which is not very effective. i DID however find a solution: google offers google voice as a free service. they give you a phone # (free) & the only reason *i* got it is bc then u can give the google # out to anyone who is friends, family, work, etc., then when some asshat starts calling u a trillion times a day it goes
1. directly to the google voicemail (another free service: EVERYthing is free) -or-
2. u can opt to have the calls to the google # forwarded to ur mobile phone (as IF)

it's the best solution i have found since the do not call registry clear is not effective combined w these idiots are always one step ahead of any governing body AND they just don't care.

Called number back and message says they are some kind of fundraising organization to help out charitable organizations (they don't say which ones).

Called, asked for the owner. Told him owner was unavailable, I'm the office manager, could I help him?  He said no, I'll call back later.  Sales call!!

Hangs up if answered- no VM if unanswered. Can't pin down who it is!

Stupid Calls that hang up when you answer?

Called asking for owner but didnt even know our owners name and when i said he was in a meeting the man said very rudely he didnt want to take a message and needed to know when the best time was which our boss doesnt have a best time due to his job title and he didnt like that either and wouldnt tell me who he was or what he was calling for...VERY RUDE!!!!

Hoping not to get another call from this number; and if I do, I'll be sure to find a way to track them down and beat them senseless for calling and waking up my twin toddlers. Grrrrrr

repeated my adress

Recieved a call 2 weeks ago looking for donations for a fire fighters association. The caller started with a large request, but quickly reduced the ammount when I told him no. I just recieved another call today. This time for AMVETS. The odd thing was that he used the exact same script as the call 2 weeks ago. Calls always seams to come on Sunday afternoon. The script he used was as follows: " Have I been enjoying the very interesting weather this past week." also " It's nice to finally hear a friendly voice, I must have spoken to every grump in Carver county" I am sure the caller was the same person. I advised him that they should not use the same caller and script. It makes them look very suspicious.

I just got the same rude person on the phone too! I asked if I caould take a message and he said na, I'll call later and hung up. VERY RUDE!

I have a niece that happens to be on the local Police Department and also knows the Sheriff department pretty good. I decided to give this number to the Police since they say they are collecting on their behalf yet calling from a Minnesota phone number. hahaha I hope they get caught with fraud!!!

They left no message. Caller ID says "MINNESOTA"

Just got a call from this number on my home phone, caller id showed the name as "Minnesota".  When I answered the male voice said "I have the wrong number" and hung up.

CALLED ASKED FOR OWNER THEN ASKED FOR PERSON IN CHARGE WITH A VOICE OF SOMEONE UPSET OR MAD. MALE VOICE, THEN HUNG UP

This number called us and ask for the owner, if they don't know my name and the didn't have a CID that displays a name. It is a sales call or a marketing scam in most cases. He guy hung up when I ask who he was looking to speak with....what is sad, I followed the path to his dial system and I will have a name to post over the next 48 hours. The number is not the real number as it appears.  They will be reported to the DNC and the National Archives & Records Adminstraction by their dial system IP address. They don't even know who they just hung up on at this point. They will learn the hard way!! be watching!!!!

I dialed the number and the automated voice said "this number was not in service."   "Minnesota" was listing on the caller ID.

I also live in MN  and got the same "the number you called is not in service" recording.  Will add that to my list of  DO NOT ANSWER numbers.

I live in MN and just rec. the call.  I thought it was from my sister-in-law so I decided to call it back but it rang once then the recording "the number you called is not in service"

Thay call my Bussiness phone. I ask "where you calling " Thay hangup

Called, I answered with "hello" and they hung up.  I'm not a business, which doesn't fit the trend based on these reports.

Asked for owners name.  Didn't state what they wanted.  Very suspicious

They just called me and asked for my boss by name.  I told him she wasn't here and asked if I could take a message and he said, (in a very disinterested tone), "nah... I'll just call back later" to which I replied.. 'she's not in today" and he hung up on me!
