getting unwanted and unknown calls from tel number952-687-2579

got a call from 952-687-2579. they did not leave a message my # on DNC list do not know this number unwanted call

I received a call from this number. No message left. I tried calling the number but got a busy signal.  I called later and phone was ringing forever. No answer, no recorded message.

I got a call from them today as well with the same mumbo jumbo about interest rates on credit cards. Funny because I don't have credit cards!

Received a call from this # on my cell phone - and thankfully it was missed.  There is a Cell Phone scam going on where they want you to stay on the line as long as they can get you to while they are using your # to call foreign countries and you are stuck with the bill.  I am on the do-not-call registry - but it doesn't seem to stop them from trying anyway.  I noticed in other comments that they were returning these calls!  DO NOT return calls to numbers you do not recognize - if it is someone who genuinely wants to speak with you they will call you back and if the call happens to come from a # like this and you do not recognize it, DO NOT answer it either and report it!  

Received call at 9 AM. Left no message.  The DNC is now useless per Consumer's Reports. This month's edition has a page of tips on how not to be annoyed by these robocalls.  Their advice is basically to not answer an unknown number.  Most call originate overseas and the numbers are "spoofed". DNC does not cover overseas originated calls.  Just grin and bear it.  I guess that half the calls on my home land line are robocalls. Oh well, maybe utter a few #$@# comments. Then grin and bear it.

Same here.  I tried calling back and the number was busy.  It's supposedly a Minnesota area code.

Ditto, called me while I was on my cell, but I managed to hit decline incoming call before I realized it.  Appropriate seeing the comments here today.  Tried to call back, before I looked here but the number rang busy.  If this is a scam, isn't there an agency out there enforcing the DNC List?  

Called my cell phone. Didn't reply to any prompts. My cell phone IS on the no-call list, too!

Called offering lower interest rate on my credit card. Asked to press "1" if interested. I press "1" and a live person came on saying that I was interested. I said maybe. They said they could lower interest rate on my visa to under 10% on my $3000 balance. They asked if this is correct. I said no. They hung up. No other talking. I said no cause I smelled a scam. They never said which cc they wanted to lower and from which bank. Plus I don't have a card with a $3k balance.

Got a call at 7:49 this morning. Good thing I keep my phone on silent when I'm sleeping. There was no message.

called my cell at 10:07. did not recognize the # did not pick up

Just got a call from that number and it was for reducing the interest rate on my credit card.  Only thing, it didn't say what credit card.  I snooped around an the number is owned by Qwest Company.  I think I have heard of them but I doubt very much that they are involved with any of my credit cards.  I too believe it to be a scam just trying to get us to sign up for something we don't need.

Just got a call from this number. No message left. Obviously a scammer. The people that do this crap need to be shot in the head.

I got a call from this number and it was a message about my interest rate. I found it funny because they called my company phone and it made no sense. I think it is a scam because they asked me to dial 1 for more information or 2 to stop receiving messages. They did not mention the name of the company they were calling me from.

As with every  call you receive, DO NOT ANSWER THOSE NUMBERS YOU D o NOT recognize.

Received a call from this number yesterday, something about "account services". No idea who this is, am on DNC list.

Called me this morning, too...didn't leave a message.  I'm on the DNC list, but it doesn't seem to matter to these people.  These calls must happen all at the same time so they can use the same number before shutting it down.

Just got called twice about 5 minutes apart.  Didn't answer and they left no message.
