Thanks for looking into it, Dave.  I, too, got the notice in the mail.  It is very deceptive and exactly as you described it, same wording but with a phone number of 1-877-565-3495.  It definitely misleads you into thinking you've been "awarded" something.  But I was immediately suspicious because I don't usually sign up for prize drawings for this exact reason.

It is deceptive advertising. A mailer said: Final Notice. Verification of delivery information required. E-pad touch pad tablet complete with Android software. You have been awarded a new E-Pad Touch pad Tablet. To claim this special offer, simply call this local number 1-952-836-6650. I needed to attend a presentation of Direct Buy's shopping club. When answering truthfully that my income was less than $50K and that I planned to spend less than $5k on household items this year, I was told I didn't qualify for the tablet. I suppose I could have lied to get the tablet, but I am not that kind of person.
