I know these folks. I work in their building and have earned cash for participating in their surveys. They seem professional and legitimate and I have never been spammed by their activities, which I appreciate.

Fieldwork Minneapolis is legit - but they do a lot of screening for each group.  I qualifed once, and did get paid.  But the calls are annoying - they used to do email.

I have participated in several Fieldwork studies in Phoenix in the past 5 years.  They do actually pay cash for participating in a market research group for a few hours.  It is a legitimate market research firm, at least in Phoenix.  Thought it was odd that I got a call today from the Minnesota office. They called my cell phone and didn't leave a message.  The Phoenix office usually calls my home phone and leaves a message.

Agreed - I look forward to their calls. Over the years I've made over $500 on the various focus groups. The most fun one was a beer taste-testing. Others included my opinion on duct tape, pizza rolls, and cable TV. It's like you're on law and order, with marketing execs watching from the other side of the glass! And how often do you really get to say what you think about a product and know they're really listening!

Focus market research. They only call if someone gave them the number by signing up for their research. I have done a few surveys for them before and you can make 40-100 dollars each survey. Pretty sweet if your unemployed!

This number is for Field ork and it is a company I work for as a pt job at night. We do focus groups and it is not a telemarketing. We call from our own data base as people sign up to be in focus groups . The number for th company is 952-837-8300 and if you are in our data base and wish to be removed simply call. Companies come to us for research purposes only. We put together individuals that fit the demographics the company is looking for with regard to their products. It is a way to earn money for your time and opinion. When we call we do not always leave a message but will call back again.  Sometimes it is a taste test sometimes it is for comparing products. Here is what it says on our web site
Fieldwork is looking for all types of people in all areas to participate in research study. Sign up by clicking the link below and get paid for your opinion.

Do you buy clothes, listen to the radio, use a bank? If you do, you can get paid $50, $60, even $100 for participating in Focus Groups.

WHAT'S A FOCUS GROUP?
A Focus Group is a round-table discussion on products and services that you use. The discussions are moderated by market research professionals and usually last between 1-2 hours. When you're done, you are paid cash for your time and opinions! Fieldwork hosts focus groups on every kind of topic, from video games to breakfast cereal to real estate.

WHO CAN REGISTER FOR FOCUS GROUPS?
Fieldwork needs people of all backgrounds and ages...even kids! (with parentâ??s permission) Registering is free and easy!

HOW DO I REGISTER?
You can register in our database by selecting the city nearest where you live from the list at the end of this page. Then you fill in information about yourself. Much of the information is optional, but the more details you give us about yourself, the more likely it is that you will qualify for a Focus Group.

IS MY INFORMATION SECURE?
YES! Fieldwork adheres to the Market Research Association (MRA) code of ethics on data collection. That means your information is kept completely confidential. We do not sell or give your information to any third party. For more information about MRA standards, please visit the MRA website.

ONCE I HAVE REGISTERED, WHAT HAPPENS?
Using a computer program, the Fieldwork office in your area will match your information to the research studies they need to fill. If your information seems to match, fieldwork will call or e-mail you to ask if you are interested and available for the study. You will then be screened asked a series of questions to see if you qualify for the study. If we determine you are qualified we will pay you to come into our office to participate.

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANT?
Fieldwork and its clients rely on the integrity of focus group respondents to conduct accurate and meaningful research.
We ask that you:

Fieldwork is a real legitimate company that does this and does pay you. I didn't answer it since I won't answer any number I don't know, but if this is theirs then that's what it is. They are very specific about who they have in a focus group sometimes, so that would explain the quantity of questions. They don't leave a message because I assume they don't care who they get as long as they fit the profile.

Actually, I have gone to a couple of their test groups.  It was real, and I was paid.  They used to send an email first, but something must have changed.  The problem I have had is not being  the right fit for most groups.

The above message happened to me.  Exactly like that, only the line didn't go dead at the end.  She came back on the line and asked for my email address and they would send me directions to the location of the test group.  Reading all of this makes me think I shouldn't go.

I was offered to be in a test group.  If I qualified, I would be part of a 2 hour study and would get $100.  They said I needed to be available Monday or Tuesday at 4pm (Nov 8 or 9).  She started asking me questions about my pet, grooming, products....etc in order to see which group I would fit in.  The questions went on and on.  I stopped her evetually asking if there really was going to be a test group and money because she was asking me a complete questionaire and this seemed suspicious to me.  She assured me there would be a test group and she only had 3 more questions.  She finished and asked me to hold for a minute and the line went dead.

I've been getting these calls lately and they never leave a message. They call my cell and I don't answer numbers I don't know. It comes up in a residential area, but it's a business that does market research. They are legitimate, and pay if you do surveys or get chosen for a panel discussion.

This number is completely harmless.  It is Fieldwork Minneapolis - which tests and surveys consumers on product quality and so forth.  This service offers paid time to participant.  For some focus groups it pays $100 for an hour of participation.  Many manufacturers and product design companies rely on such research to better meet the needs of consumers.

I have recieved calls from this number for months with noone ever leaving a message.  I too called the number back and got no answer.  I had thought that it may be from the Fieldwork Minneapolis since I have participated in studies with them in the past.  Thank you CKL for posting the info confirming it.  I am curious though, how did you track it down?
