Ooops, the caller was NOT me. I meant to put Unknown/"Target Corp" as that who was on my caller ID with this number.

Someone originally began called our home from this number(952)892-6827 last week from this number. The name of the owner/former owner was also shown on the ID as well, but we ignored it because we don't know the person(we don't answer any blocked, unknown, or people/companies that we don't recognize.). We just figured they'd stop when they realized they had the wrong number, but they still kept calling. When we ignored them, then they began calling us from a slightly different number that same week(almost identical, they just switched the numbers around). They started calling us from (952)892-6728 and the "company" was now listed as: "Target Corp." Obviously, BOTH of these numbers have been SPOOFED by "telemarketers"/scammers and are both coming from the SAME person/company!

Agree with you there. Try Amazon, they have a pretty good selection of call blocking devices for just under 60.00 and can block a pretty sizable amount of numbers & area codes.

I guess the only thing we can do is report and block them as you say. It's just a shame that we have to keep spending more money just to be left alone :(

The other thing is this, I know these have to be spoofed #'s. Who in their right mind(knowing that they're listed in the Phone Book)is going to try pranking/scamming people? That would be pretty stupid, which is why I know someone else is making these calls.

:)  It makes me wonder what is really behind these calls..  We see so much illegal telemarketing and all those extortion scammers and scams going on in the threads here..  The only suggestion I have at this point, is maybe call blocking. Without knowing what they are up too, its hard to say where to report them.  If you do find out, let us know! :)

Yes and I think I acknowledged the fact that BOTH numbers(and callers)I listed were "spoofed"(they definitely weren't coming from the callers listed on the ID. I was only mentioning them because that is what the ID says. I have nothing else to go on.). Doing a search online for the number from the caller ID, I did find a REAL name(which was the SAME name listed on my caller ID)and a number(also the SAME # listed on the ID)This info was found in the White pages and was a listed number. I know the actual caller was someone else, not the person the ID showed. The 2nd number is also most likely from the same person doing the spoofing, though they're now using:  "Target Corp" with a number that was also listed as someone else's landline(either current or was)in the White Pages to call us. Given that the calls are spoofed, I know that the REAL number(and REAL name) are masked from me, so I'm not sure what you are saying? I just wish I knew who was really calling us is all.

It's just getting very annoying for us. I also feel sorry for innocent people out there who may be having their good name/number tarnished by others who are spoofing THEIR real numbers!

This is a "Spoofed" telemarketing/scam number calling our home(they have called us EVERY DAY this week!). Strangely enough, there are no other complaints listed for this number(usually I can find some info or complaint on EVERY number that calls us unless it is blocked, but I don't answer those calls anyway.)that calls. This is probably because they chose a name and number that LOOKS trustworthy because of the old owner's available info online. The calls however are NOT from him/her!). This caller/scammer has called us 3 days in a row this week already(anywhere from 1-3 times/day every day!)using the old owner's name and number(his full name was shown on our caller ID)and then after 3 days of getting no response, the person suddenly decides to switch to using: "Target Corp" while keeping the SAME number! I guess they must think we're too stupid not to notice the name change with the SAME number?

Anyway, if anyone gets a call from this number Do NOT give ANY personal or financial info no matter what they say or claim! If you do business with a company or owe a debt collector, then call the company/debtor yourself with the phone number that YOU have for them or what is listed on your monthly statements! Anyone else calling you(even with the name of a legitimate-sounding business)you can assume that they are up to no good!

Given that we don't a.)know the old owner or b.)have any debt with Target, there is NO reason this number should even be bothering us!
