I had two charges one month that said the exact same thing on my credit card statement, and I just received another bill yesterday with another charge saying the same. I don't even use this card. Had it cancelled today also, and have to file a dispute for the transactions.

This is a charge for computer from computer associates for virus protection. Unless you so specify they will charge your credit card automatically before it expires and this is why you see that charge. I kind of like it as I dont have to renew each year some other way. They are a great company.

I had 49.99 taken right out of my checking account, this was the # left on the statement. I call it and I was on hold forever and never got to anyone.

Tracced this number back to Computer Associates. They are a company that provides computer software specifically Antivirus. They actually automatically renew the subscription to their software products at the end of the year (starting from when you purchased the software - antivirus probably online). Basically automatic re-billing/renewing your software license for another year.
I called their customer service and they very politely refunded my money.

I received a payment from this too .. it was Trend Anti virus. Just call them and be nice. They will give you a refund no problem. They were very helpful.

Just called the number as I had the $44.95 charge on my account from some anti-virus software that I purchased back in college. They refunded my card and also cancelled the automatic renewal for me as well. The call took no more than 5 minutes from beginning to end. My call was answered my customer service after 2 rings and I was promptly assisted. So if you have an unknown charge I recommend calling the number (I call around 8:45 a.m. EST) and asking them to refund your account.

I called back and got a billing company, turns out it was a company Norton uses. I used their free trial and they still charged my card when the trial was over. You have to sit on hold for a long time but you eventually get to the right person and they refund your money.

That same # showed up on my credit card statement and it was associated with my BitDefender anti-virus which was up for renewal. They did send me a reminder email before they billed, so it's legit.

It was a charge for Trend Micro anti-virus software on an "automatic renewal" plan, which I don't recall requesting. I did get a reminder email, but was unable to cancel the order via the Trend Micro site. Called the 952- number (9am CT), and after being on hold for about 5 minutes, the problem was quickly resolved: a refund was promised, and automatic renewal was cancelled.

(950)908-4089 This is a phone number for an Auto Renew service provided by Trend Micro Internet Security Software. I had this software several years ago, and renewed it last year (2008) for about $40. Well, what they don't tell you is that when you do that, you're authorizing a renewal indefinitely, not just for that year. In other words, they will keep charging the credit card until you notice and complain. I found this phone number listed on my online credit card statement. It said "Trend Micro" charge, so I hit the 'dispute' button and this "customer Service" phone number pops up. Well, if you call it (long distance for me & being charged on phone bill), they will not answer. I called Trend Micro myself, and spoke with a guy. He said he would refund my card. I asked him if this would ever happen again. He said no. So the refund will stop future charges. Careful people and read the fine print! They will AUTO RENEW you all day long!

JUST OPENED MY MAIL.....HAD 3 CHARGES FROM NORTON.COM/NS CA on my credit card statement.....ALL IT SAID WAS NORTON SOFTWARE...NO PHONE NUMBER...NO CITY...JUST WHAT I STATED ABOVE. CHANGED MY CARD IMMEDIATELY. WAS NOT EVEN IN MY COUNTRY WHEN THOSE CHARGES WENT THROUGH....HOW IS IT THAT THESE CAN NOT BE TRACED AS I SEE MANY OTHERS ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF ALSO? I am on Social Security Disability and needed to get an antivirus program from Norton by Symantec but recently when i got my bank statement I saw the companies name as being that of Software Norton.com/NS CA. I looked on my PC for Norton Virus download and nothing was found' I was charged $48.34 AND STILL DO NOT HAVE AntiVIRUS PROTECTION.
I have not been called from this company Digital River, to my knowlege.
