i recieved a call from 954-271-2289 and got suspicious. It was from a person with a heavy accent , he ask if this was (said my first and last name) I said "yes" and he hung up. Could this be used in some type of identity theft? He has me my name and my voice and work number saying yes to what?

I got a call from this number and woman with an accent (either Asian or eastern Euro.) asked for a co-worker from a company I have not worked for in over 3 years, rather odd. No other information was given when I informed her that I was not that person.

This guy called Mike (with a heavy accent) said he was from FedEx and had a package for me, and asked if he had the correct spelling of my last name. He asked if I had a suite number, as if he was trying to get a more accurate work address. It seemed like he was phishing, then hung up when he realized I wasn't going to give up any information.

This number appeared on my caller ID at the office. I answered and there was silence and then the "caller" hung up. From Ft. Lauderdale.

Guy with accent called my office line. Mispronounced my name for confirmation that it was me. I said "speaking?" He said "ok great", and hung up. (It seems he's researching office lines)

Guy called, heavy accent, said he was from FedEx, looking for a suite number - to an address we haven't been in for over a year. Started sputtering when I asked for a tracking number/sender since I wasn't expecting any deliveries. Went silent when I told him I had this website pulled up. Cllllllick!

Glad I looked this up after I politely hung up on a guy with a heavy accent. He started in asking me questions about our CRM system saying they were calling with important information. He proceeded to keep probing for information even after I told him to just send the information to our info@company which is on our website.

If only I understood what they were asking, but told them after a couple of minutes, whatever you're selling, I'm not interested.
he told me to get lost

I received three missed calls from this number to my office phone. Finally, this morning, I answered thinking that it may be important (although the previous calls did not leave a voicemail). I said "hello" and they asked, "is this (my name - pronounced wrong)" and I replied, "yes, can I help you?" and then they hung up.
From this previous posts, it looks like they are only calling office phone numbers. It also looks like they have zero manners or phone etiquette.

Called my business number and with heavy foreign accent said they were calling from Microsoft. Confirmed my business email address and said they were sending over.... garbled... and when I said "what?" they hung up. So it seems they wanted to confirm what they already had..??

Today a man and a woman (with accents) requested the same employee, who isn't at this location. The man politely accepted my not providing a forwarding number and hung up. However, the woman commanded, "Direct me to So-and-So." I asked what the call was in reference to and watched the Caller ID disappear. Good manners are appreciated, even though you know they're reading from a prepared speech and really don't care ("Hello, ma'am, how are you today," etc.). But these people get on my wrong side when they don't have the courtesy to say Hello and just make their demand, then hang up without a Thank You -- and phone later with another name! I amuse myself by giving them a response from left field and listening to them sputter, because they don't know how to improvise, and then try returning the conversation to the script.

Got a call today at my office form 954-271-2289. Strangely, they had my direct work number and address and said they were FedEx and needed to make a delivery, but needed to know if there was a suite number. I said no and the guy thanked me and hung up. When I called the number back, it doesn't even ring. The line hangs and then after a couple minutes I'm brought back to a dial tone.
