Yes, they called me. I reported them to the Florida and California State Attorney General Office and contacted the FBI. I suggest you do the same in your state.

Ya they did the same thing, called for my wife by calling up my father-in-law and telling him that she has a court date to attend and if she don't there will be a warrant out for her. Red Flags: 1) didn't even state who he were working for. 2) if you have to attend court 1 a certified letter will be mailed by the court clerk with the state stamp on it (for it to be an official document or 2 a sheriff will hand deliver the official court papers to you, so, if they tell you that you have to attend court without the proper paper work and/or procedure they are lying. 3) the number was a Florida number and we live in Indiana and have not been to Florida period. So, who ever these scum bags are better freakin stop. They have called up my wife's ex-mother-in-law and threatened to have her arrested and freeze up and take the money out of her account. Funny thing is they call up family or ex-family members but haven't really called our house, it's getting really old.  And harassing family and/or friends is really getting to the point of stupidness. the guys name who called was David Rosenburg and the number was 954-688-4659. I Googled the name and number and it led to Gregory Adams and Associates. So, looks like they are switching numbers.

There was a message on my elderly mother's answering machine....the caller ID was 954-317-0576...HOWEVER, the caller stated to call back at 954-688-4659....(I called the number just now, at 8:07 p.m. California time...voice message states,  "Sorry, no calls can be accepted at this mailbox")
The caller was male, said his name was David Rosenberg, said he received "docus" at his firm, red flagged...The caller did not identify who he was calling for; in fact, the call almost sounded voice activated, very robotic. . I live with my Mom, and rest assured, she owes nobody any money.

Actually, you're wrong - if a constable tried to deliver papers to you, he wouldn't be giving you a heads up that you needed to be home between certain hours to deliver.  Also, a constable would ONLY be delivering a court summons - so did you go to court?  Did they send you a debt validation letter proving that you owed the debt to them and that they were legally entitled to collect in your state?  I have to call BS, because what you've written doesn't even make sense.  Oh, and you do NOT go to jail over debt.

If the debt was included in your bankruptcy, then they are breaking the law by trying to collect from you.  If they keep harassing you, I would send a cease and desist letter, letting them know this debt cannot be collected as it was covered under your bankruptcy.  Send it certified mail/return receipt requested.

It looks like you have a mailing address for them -- it might be time for you to send a certified-mail letter, either demanding debt validation, or a cease-comm, whichever is more appropriate for your situation.  Good luck and go get 'em!

Okay, I have received 4 calls from these guys. I finally answered one of the calls and was transferred to a couple different people before being connected with someone who could "help" me. I was asked if I knew so & so, to which I replied that I did. I also told him that I had done some research on his company and knew about them. His reply was that "you can't believe everything you read on google" I told him that I wanted the calls to stop. We will see what happens, but if they keep calling me it is game on!

Well snap? What the hell is "well snap"? Keep trying buddy, you just may get some poor slob to fall for your amazing story. Cops calling for a correct address? HAHAHAHA !! Look, I've already done my homework. This is all a poorly put together scam to get money out of people. Yes, there are old debts out there, yes, there are people who owe money, but umm, cops don't do debt collections in any way shape or form. Long time ago there was a scam similar to this. Kept calling and telling me I would get arrested, my social security number is getting redflagged, my vehichle will be confiscated the list goes on and on. I have had police reports made, a complaint filed with FTC and there is a detective working on these scams. I have researched many hours regarding this so called law firm/collection agency. Scam, scam, SCAM!  Can't help but believe you are working for them Mr. Well Snap.  First off, any and all collection agency must send written notification. Second, a legit collection agency can only call between certain hours. Third, a collection agency can not use threat of arrest or jail to obtain supposed money owed. On any debt, there is a statute of limitations, there is no debtors prison, and a collection agency/law firm can not claim to be a representative of banks/credit unions because banks and credit unions have their own legal deparments and are heavily regulated. Payday loans? Well lets see, hmmm depending on the state, no person can be criminally prosecuted or be threatened with criminal charges, and I believe that goes for all states. Further more, a check cashing place? Just like banks and credit unions have legal departments and high risk officers, and do not need outside legal help since they have their own legal reps. How do you think they get their forms written out so elaborate. How do I know this? It's called tricking the collection agency/law firm into telling you who their supposed client is without verifying anything then calling their so called client because you know their so called client and work with them on a daily basis. BOOYAH! Have a nice day and you're welcome.

The "county police" called asking for your address so they can serve you papers??? Tell us more! You're hysterical!
Seriously, I know you scammers rely on people who are dumb enough to believe the ridiculous, but aren't you pushing the envelope of stupidity a little far to think that anyone would fall for a story like that? Even you can do better.

There is no debtors prison, so enough of the jail talk. Number one, you most likely work for them. Number two, any legit collection agency has to send a written notification of the debt and original creditor. Third, the police do not act as debt collectors. So you either work for them or you have been scammed. This supposed law firm has been rated F by the BBB. What does that tell you? Also, depending on your state, there is a statute of limitations on debts. I have made several phone calls, done extensive research, and filed my own complaint with the federal trade commision. So people, please do not give in and verify anything with these people. Research the laws regarding fair debt collections. You'll be amazed at how many violations this so called law firm has committed.

It is a scam. I have done countless hours of research on this number as well as other numbers they use. Do not verify any information with them. First, any legit debt collector has to send you a written notification of the debt plus previous creditor. Second, if it was a payday loan, depending on the state, you can not be criminally prosecuted for non payment, it simply goes into collections. Thirdly, check your state laws regarding statute of limitations on payday loans, and also check into the fair debt collections acts and laws. You'll find peace of mind after researching these things. On a side note, I got my credit report to verify their (gregory adams and associates) information and found nothing. Go to annualcreditreport.com, check yours. Oh and did they say they had you on surveilance tape writing a bad check? If so, it's most likely a lie as well. Don't let them bully you, rest easy and ignore them, also report them them to the federal trade commision and your state attorney general. Keep in mind this so called law firm has been rated F by the better business burea. The forms are easy and you can do the federal trade commision online, depending on the state you live in, you can do the same with the attorney general. Relax and enjoy life my friend, these people are not legit.

Well snap...I hate to say it but I think I may have spoken too soon.  Not an hour after I posted that, I got a call from the county police office wanting my correct address to "serve some documents to me."  I expect to see someone coming to my house today.  I'm guessing it's a old debt from a check cashing place, the same one mentioned in the previous post, I think, but it's been years.  Either way I'll find out soon I guess.

Received a call today from this guy (David Rosenberg - 954-317-0576) claiming to be with Gregory Adams & Assoc. Left a generic message about how I must contact them regarding paperwork that was sent out for signatures but never returned. They threatened to "Red Flag" my number if I do not reply. They do not use your name or provide any information that would allow the recipient of the call to understand the nature of the business.

After researching this company and complaints here is what I found:
1. They have several business names: Allied Financial Group & Associates, Greg Adams & Associates, Andrew Cohen & Associates. - 7351 Wiles Road, Suite 106, Pompano Beach, FL 33067 - Phone: (561) 293-3620
2. They continue to badger people until those people either file a complaint with the Florida BBB - http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/busines ... ach-fl-90032248 - OR the people make a settlement payment or monthly payments.
3. It appears that they are purchasing information on "OLD" debts that folks may have that are now outside the statute of limitations, using this information to collect on those debts.
4. They do not provide any written documentation regarding the debts, nor do they offer receipts for any payments that you may make to them.
5. They can become quite verbally abusive if you respond to their calls.

Frankly, if you do not provide me with documentation proving the debt and/or my personal obligation to it, then you are a fraud. There are several complaints filed with the Florida BBB and folks may want to contact their State Attorney General for more info or to file a complaint.

Hi.  I just wanted to let you know that every state has a statute of limitations on debts.  They range from three years to ten years.  The average is six years.  If your debt was from 2004, there's a good chance that you settled a debt that you were no longer legally required to pay.  You can go to http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml to find out the statute of limitations for your state.

I had a constable deliver to me today but I wasn't home, he gave me their number to call and a doc# and they were rude at first, but then softened up because I was unaware of any correspondence sent to me, and they set up payment arrangements.. So I would call them before it's too late.
