I get the same call too. So far, I have the names David Zimmerman, Mr. Tyson, and a Rebecca Cooper with Gregory Adams & Associates...from the following numbers...(786) 245-8312, (888) 402-0790, and (954) 345-4741. They all say the same thing, that my name (which they dont state) is attached to a case (which they dont state what case) and that decisions will be made on my behalf. I did some researching and they all have several things in common, the calls are from Florida, and they basically say the same thing...which is, "my name is attached to a case and if I dont respond, decisions will be made on my behalf." According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, we all as consumers have a right to privacy. Even if we owe a debt, a collector owes us fair treatment and respect for our privacy. When a collector calls, ask for the name of the caller, the collection agency, the criditor, and the address and fax number for sending correspondence. Also, ask about the amount the collector claims you owe. You can tell the caller that you want all future contact in writing rather than by phone. i got a call saying to call back they r from gregory and associates and i have a law suit and if i send them $500 they would drop the law suit!

Received the same call today requesting me to call back. Other sites stated when calling back, the want all kind of personal info. from them. Definitely s scam and I hope nobody gets caught up in it.

Something about a case in broward county fl and if i dont contact them a decision will be made on my behalf.
its gotta be some sort of fear based scam to get you to call or maybe trying to sell me something.
FYI i get the same call every tuesday and it is an automated person

Checked the name you suggested and all versions of that name are Inactive.  So if this is their true name they aren't even registered with the state to do business.

I work for Comcast in the Tacoma mall, this number called my kiosk. The number is based out of Florida. They asked for documents that were not signed. After I asked them to not harass my kiosk, the man became extremely rude and condescending and disconnected the call. The caller Id was labeled as AFG Association; the real company is located in McLean, VA 22102. http://www.associationfoundationgroup.org. By the way a very sweet lady answered the phone so I informed her a company was spamming under their name. When you call the line it does state they are Gregory adams.

This is a collection company posing (psychologically) as a law enforcement agency, using verbal manipulation tactics in an attempt to scare those they call. The person on the other end of the line is nothing more than a hourly collection employee reading you a script.

Here is a link to the Florida corporation commission, the name they are organized under is Allied Financial Group.  Type this into the search and you find all pertinent public information regarding the company.

Called trying to get a hold of a family member (I was a "person of interest") but was completely vague. Based on the company name and a Google search of said name, probably best not to return the call.
