Called my cell, didn't answer, I didn't leave message. That Do Not Call list is bull

I'm not familiar with this number and I would like for it to be blocked from call my number.

I got a called for this number (954) 356-286, caller ID said Florida.  I did not answer...perhaps...another block call added to list.  Thank you everyone for sharing your findings!

Yes, and it's been mentioned on this site, this is why everyone needs a 2nd, voip or virtual, phone number. There is one number for family & friends, and then another number for everyone else. I also do not take, or call back, numbers I don't know. Over the years I've been able to weed the junk, spam, scam phone calls down to a few a month. It is possible to do, & it does work.

Here's one tip, do not put your cell phone number on any email server, like Google and Yahoo. They are now demanding your cell phone number to "verify" your account. It's bull. They sell the numbers. If you put your number on anything that isn't a legit and secured https business website, you are going to get calls. When you fill out a sweepstakes form for that new car at the mall? More calls, as well as pitches from Kirby vacuums and time shares. Your family and friends are not the only ones who have your number, I promise you. Besides the government tracking everything you do on your phone, you were not the first person to have that phone number. Your phone number is not specially unique to you, unless you are that rare person who has had the same number since 1987. The DNC list is a joke. Robodialers can go through the numbers one at a time since there are a finite amount of phone numbers in this country. This is the world we live in today, no privacy, no respect and no sympathy. Deal with it, or cancel your cell phone, you'd probably be better off without it.

Got a call just now - same MO - plugged into some sales call.  When I get one of these calls I save it to my
contacts as a sales call so I never pick it up again.

I did not answer the initial call from this number, but after reading this board, I called the number back twice. The first time I was greeted with a confusing conference call-type of conversation in progress. I quickly hung up, and called again, only to be greeted with the exact same conference call recording.

After wasting over 10 minutes of my life listening to this recording, never is the business identified. With promises of "potentially" making nearly $20,000 in 5 weeks, the caller reveals their "program" uses a Leverage tactic for you to make this money (basically, handing over a small amount of money - which is relative - where they promise to turn it into larger amount of money using their cash-flow system --- which involves an auto-dialer phone system to harass other people to drop more money into the bucket, or through their website to generate more suckers).

Beware of these scammers. Their tactics might be legal, but their tyrannical schemes are unsettling.

I didn't pick up when I got the call, so I called back (after blocking my #) & immediately got connected to a conference call (which I am on right now). I was briefly in cash gifting years ago & this is it. When I was doing it, though, the numbers we received on any list were allegedly from folks who had at some point expressed an interest in making money from home.  I don't know how they got THIS number because I moved over 3 years ago & have a different number now. And I never give out this number. Any form I fill out online looking for more info, I use 999-999-9999 number if a number is requested. If that doesn't work, I just close the site. This person on the call is now saying that they get phone numbers for people who are interested in home-based businesses. Still don't know how they got my number at this home, though.

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  Left no message.  I called back from a blocked number, and they answered "Minnesota, how can I help you".  I hung up.  Ugh.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone, when I answered it no one spoke.  I called the number back and found out that it was a telemarketing call. I immediately hung up. I am listed on the "National Do NOT Call" list.

Just called my cell. Very few people have that #.

They call every 7 days my "PRIVACY STAR" said scammer .  I got this app,it looks up numbers when they call and knows if they are scammers or telemarketing and my phone does not ring.  It beeps and disays An announsment and lets me block it and sends a complaint to the Ftc.

This is not a call I asked for, or appreciate.  I am on a do not call list.  Why is this happening?

The DNC does what its supposed to do and works as it should. What it can't do is protect you from the illegal telemarketers, frauds and scammers. No law can or will. Since when do criminals obey any law?  The DNC only works for honest business's.

The DNC list is useless, I am still getting those stupid calls.  I followed "guitar" advice and filed a complaint at:

I live in Quebec, even not in USA and they keep calling and calling all the time. It's harassement !

So how do we get these calls to stop?  My number IS registered on the DNC list.  

Just rec'd a call on my google phone number. No message.

They KEEP calling me over and over and never leave a message! I don't know a single soul in Florida!! Obvious spam

I had previously signed up for the DNC registry quite a while ago so should not be receiving calls and I am frustrated that I received this call. Luckily I was smart enough not to pick up as our state has been flooded with scam calls this last week. Not thrilled to find out that some of these types of calls are still leaking through.

Just got a call from this number.  It's a recorded message saying you can make 5 figures.  Leave me alone.

Ok people, just an FYI, it will do you NO good to tell those b*****ds to stop calling here on this page. Those asshats do not look at what we post. And it doesn't matter if you are law enforcement or former law enforcement, (that was posted a few complaints up) you can lodge a complaint with the DNR but the telemarketers or computers will still call. They have many lines and if those asshat telemarketers use computers, it's automatically set up to keep redialing your number until someone answers.

Robocall - I didn't even bother listening to it.

Just called my Magic Jack number.  MJ numbers are not listed so this company, whoever they are, just dials down the line. 0000, 0001, 0002, etc.  Mine is in the 9's.  That's a lot of dialing, LOL.
