I put my name in for a contest for a vacation at the circus and I've gotten these calls ever since. 5 times a day, all different numbers. I block them as soon as they call. Irritating!!!

I have been receiving phone calls from a hollywood florida number ever since i registered to win a free vacation when i was at the Dino exhibit also.  I told them i would need to discuss this with my husband before I went any further, and he quickly said he could not hold it because once they hang up the system marks it as declined.  I felt very suspicious about it and wanted to google it so i told him that i didnt have credit card info that my husband had all of that info and he was quick to say he could "override the system" and give me a call back in an hour when my husband got home.  I took that time to gather info and I landed here.  So glad I researched.  Still awaiting the call back....cant wait to tell them I will be reporting them to the FTC.

Yeah right I knew it was fishy when talking to them and looking at the website. I think it's really unprofessional for another company to support a scam or be part of it!!

well my sister entered me in sum contest and 954 called for my mom 1st i said that she wasn't interested and the man wuz rude and said do u want the package i said not thanks! and he hung up on me. The next day the same number called my brother and asked for me and then called my phone and asked for me I didnt want to answer but my brother and boyfriend were like listen to what he has to say this time. The man told me about a trip to orlando, daytona, and cruz and vegas. but i had to make up my mind right then if i wanted it. It sounded to good to b true and he said it would only be 698.00. and he need my debit card number. and could i pay today. I didnt pay any money but gave him a prepaid debit card number that i dnt use or doesn't have any money on it. I kept trying to get the website from him but he was like we will email it to you. soI googled it and saw this website that had a link to their website. Rite then as I was looking at their website i was like this is a scam! So i called them to cancel everything and they were rude and didnt want to cancel so I had i dnt have money going to that account anyway and its a prepaid card and the man was like well i will just cancel it then and hung up on me. What a scam glad i didnt give him my bank info

Googled the #'s and they both were associated with a Florida travel company of some sort., I called the first # back and some guy answered saying "Yo" I asked why they called my cell, and not to call again...he said how long ago, I said 2 hrs and 4 hrs. ago. DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN! He got rude and said Maam I have your registration...........I again told him DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!!! Still he was rude.....finally I had to get rude back at him and said a few 4 letter explicitives and NOT TO CALL ME AGAIN! He was still trying to interrupt me, I hung up on the jerk!
I did NOT register to have someone call and harass me time & time again! Register for WHAT though???

it sounded to good to be true. i was on the line with a Robert then passed a Mike. They just kept pushing for a credit card. so i hung up on them. they have been calling me for 2 weeks straight. With various numbers.

Kept them on the phone long enough to look up the site and find out the problems.
I had given them my # at a conference unwittingly - no doubt it will be passed around or sold
to other scammers now.

I've been getting calls from this number and other numbers with a 954 area code several times throughout the day. I researched each number and all roads lead back to a "business" called Discount World Vacations. After doing some research, I found they actually have several business names as well as several web sites. Each web site looks poorly constructed as if done by an amateur webmaster and there are spelling and grammatical errors all over the place. The web pages themselves have long scroll bars (Like they crammed all their information and pictures onto a single page) and look like something out of a 1990's web site. Very sketchy and suspicious, in my opinion. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, so I let them go to voicemail, but this "business" never leaves a voicemail. They hang up before the four rings can route it to voicemail. I'm on the National DO NOT CALL registry so if the calls continue, I will file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and suggest others do the same. The following numbers all belong to Discount World Vacations, and they have used these numbers to call me repeatedly during the day. I have blocked each number on my mobile phone so it does not ring when they call and instead, goes straight to voicemail. I'd suggest anyone receiving these annoying calls also look into blocking Discount World Vacation's numbers on your phone, either through a third-party application or your wireless or landline provider. Also, I would not recommend giving them your address, personal, or billing information over the phone as I suspect they are multi-level marketing or timeshare scammers, pyramid schemers, or fraudsters.

called my office phone, asked for someone I didn't recognize, I asked who they were and who were they with, male voice said Chris and then hung up.

The number is from a travel agency from Florida called, Tropical GetAway (sure...).. It is toooo good to be true.. only $698 for 2 to ENJOY the wonderful 14 day trip with bunch of free stuffs.... The website is very fake just like most of the scam websites (www.mytropicalgetaways.com).  At least the guy is very nice and continue to convince you but honestly...shame on THEM!!! taking money from good people!!!

DONT GO FOR IT!! i had a similar call few years ago and the "MANAGER" hung up on me at the end when i said i have no credit card... LOL!!!

this number calls several times a day but with different last digits.... so I put the ones I get on the do not call list, then  I get a call from the same are code and suffix but a different 4 digit ending number.... these people are extremely annoying and I NEVER ANSWER, THEY DON'T LEAVE MESSAGES... BUT KEEP CALLING....

They called for discount vacation in Florida and inform you that you got picked among 5000 application. When I ask their phone number and say that I will call them back, so they stopped their talking and hang up phone. It is scam.

They are calling from discount vacations in Florida to inform you that you have won a vacation. Sounds like a scam to me.

Called my home number, I didn't answer.  Within seconds they called my cell phone number and I didn't answer.  The number is from Florida.

funny - they called me; don't leave a message; i called them back; they answer with my name; and they they start to try and figure out why they called me; and I say "if this is going to involve me giving you my credit card info let's just stop right now" - click - they hung up on me!

This number calls my cell several times a day.
I don't answer - cause I don't know who this is calling.
My cell number is listed on the Do Not Call Registry, so they need to stop.
