I work for a lawfirm and received a call from a "Michael Tate" from a Tate & Tate, Florida lawfirm.  I believe he had called before so before giving the message to my attorney, i wanted to look up the firm.  And this blog about this number is what i found.  I so appreciate that people took the time to report this number and phone call.  

When solicitors and sales people intentionally lie and get passed my initial screenings, I get in trouble.  So glad I double checked.  Thanks to all above that took the time to share their tate and tate stories.

I just received a call from Michael Tate asking to speak to an attorney. When i asked what is was regarding he said a new case referral to the firm. I didnt put through and looked up his # after the call.

Michael Tate has called me before. Its just a telemarketer.

Michael Pate, Tate, whatever.... from Tate & Tate  954-453-1162.  Funny how an experienced assistant can smell these guys out at the word hello.  They're so quick to try to either get through or get off the phone.  An honest referral doesn't keep all the details such a Big Secret.  If you want to speak to my attorneys, you have to get through me first.  No details, no call back.

Another fake name to add to the bunch "Michael Pape" rhymes with Tate, nice.

If anyone has a way to contact the Florida bar association or Corporation section to file a complaint please do.

Possibly with the Bar Association the problem is if they are not a law firm they are pretending to be one generally is a no-no. How FL handles these I do not know.

This guy Michael Tate is a complete a-hole. Hangs up as soon as you say you aren't paying for referrals, then calls back a few days later. Get lost, jerk.

I received a call from Michael about sending a new client to our office. Glad I looked into it before wasting my time.

Michael Tate, telemarketer extraordinaire.  Hang up on him the second you hear that name, he's total garbage.

I just received a call from Joe DeMarco also. He claimed to have a personal injury case to refer our firm. I asked him if he was with a "referral service" and he said he was not. He claims to be with a lawfirm called Tate and Tate. Total scam!!

When I answered, the caller said his name is Landon Glover from Tate and Tate. He calls pretty regularly acting like an attorney who wants to refer a specific case to our firm. The company is actually a referral service, so the call should be treated as a marketing call.

Received the same type of baloney marketing call.  They try to get you on the phone by pretending they need representation.  Don't give them the time of day.

What can I do to stop harassing calls without going to the phone company or police?

First, simply hang up on the caller. Do not engage in conversation. Typical crank callers are seeking attention. You have "made their day" if you say something to them or express shock or anger.

If the silent treatment does not work, you might try saying like:

"Operator, this is the call." Then hang up. Or say the word "trap," what time it is and the date; then hang up.

Tate & Tate have many similar numbers: 954-453-1162; 1163; 1168 as well as different names. John Net, Michael Net, Michael Tate (I feel these are the same people).

I have received numerous calls for the past 1 - 2 years from these "jerks" John Net, Michael Net, Michael Tate, etc. (same person I believe) I have asked on numerous ocassions to be taken off their phone list (apparently it doesn't happen).  I have had 3 calls in one day on many ocassion and when I confront them they immediately hang up on me - I really HATE that...I really wish there was something that could be done with these harrassment calls.

We received a call on 3/2/10 from a John Net from Tate & Tate in Florida saying he wanted to refer a case. Luckily I read the above posts before giving the attorney the message. No call back from us.

We just received a call from Joseph DeMarco form Tate & Tate claiming that he had a criminal case to refer to our firm.  He left his name and number.

We just got a call from a Michael Tate at this number asking to be put through to one of the attorneys.  When I asked him which case it was in reference to, he said "a new matter."  When I politely explained that we get quite a few calls of this nature from various referral services and that it just wouldn't be possible to put his call through if it's not in reference to a CURRENT CLIENT he hung up.

Received call from Tate & Tate, stating they had a referral for our firm.  His "name" Joseph DeMarco.

They play themselves off as a law firm, but they are not, they are a referral sales company, there is a difference.  No offense to Rose, but that is false advertising to get to speak with an attorney.  They are certified advertisers online which probably means they paid their bill to Google and Yahoo.  However they will say anything to get to speak with an attorney to promote their sales business, thus wasting an attorneys time.

Our law office in Southern California received a call from 954-453-1168 from a "John Net" from Tate & Tate looking to refer a case.  It appears to be a telemarketing call for paid referrals.  the only Tate & Tate that I could find are Court reporters in the Delaware Valley (Philadelphia, PA)

I use this tool daily for calls to our firm and want to inform Tami and others that the company is a Certified Google Advertising, it's name is TNT Media, LLC. Hence the Tate and Tate. I did my research on this outfit and they came back squeaky clean.  I spoke to attorneys from their Testimonials Page of their website and they check out just fine.  Hope this helps future users. I work at a law firm and Michael Net called our office claiming to work for a law firm called Tate & Tate and wants to refer a case to my attorney. I called him back and asked that he have the referral call our office and schedule a consult if they are interested in talking to my attorney, Mr. NBet was speechless b/c he was such a scammer I am still unsure what type of company this is but it is certainly not a law firm. Tate & Tate doesnt even exist in South Florida!
