ya, me and my wife have gotten many calls. same thing, we were part of the 50 chosen, asked for income info and other stuff. gave me a huge schpeal, and once i was skeptical he put the manager on the phone, who showed me the site and was trying to show how they are a real company, and then started to get super rude and aggressive because wanted to look up more info about their company and there is absolutely nothing through any search sites. also looked up the several different numbers they called me from and many of them ring to individuals who say that apparently they have been spoofing their number because they have been getting lots of calls back of people trying to check on that number. and then many of the other numbers are just dead. i kept saying it was too good to be true, and he was just using classic "social engineering" techniques to pressure me and make me feel like i was an idiot if i did not take the deal. the best point i have seen in looking them up on these forums is that if they were legit, they would have some positive reviews or some company info other than their website, which is really just a big add. I wouldn't really say its a "scam" and it is more likely the timeshare crap, but it is just to good to be true, plus again, if i won something than it should be free, and if i am going to give you my credit card, there sure as heck needs to be some way that i can call them back, or find them on the internet!

Received phone call from MDE Vacations, saying we had won a 5 day, 4 night trip to Orlando. It would be "1st class" round trip to the Bahamas, Las Vegas, or Mexico at a Flamingo Resort. Although the trip was "won" they asked for $349.00 a person!

Not sure what you need to learn first -- how to recognize an obvious scam or how to spell. How about both?

Got a couple calls from this number. I answered the phone and talked to a guy who says I'm a winner along with 50 other people and offered me a chance to travel to some fabulouse locations and receiving 3, 4, or 5 free nights at some nice hotel. So is it a scam you ask? I use to take advantage of these deals when I lived in California and Hawaii. It deals with selling timeshares. In the timeshare industry they usually offer you a couple days free at a hotel and free tickets to some attraction and all you have to do is spend two hours looking over the timeshare and giving them the opportunity to try and talk you into it. You say "NO" at the end of the two hour tour and you leave. They don't offer these deals to everyone. Your not a candidate if you don't make at least 40k a year and they usually learn this when you fill out some raffle entry form. I've taken advantage of these deals many times. I got five piece luggage set once, My friend and I got a good deal in Tahoe, it was free hotel and ski tickets. My friend told the hotel he was getting married soon and may come back for honeymoon. The hotel gave us two honeymoon suite overlooking Lake Tahoe with free ski passes to squa valley. Other people who went to took the two hour tour only got a bottle of wine and maybe a hotel.. Note: you have to get to the destination yourself. They aren't going to fly you anywhere but they've done the homework and found fabulous deals. 4 nights in the bahama's free and all you do is take a two hour tour is a dream vacation. This people want you to pay 500.00 for them doing the homework. You can go to Orlando and go to an kaiosk and get free passes for a park if you take the tour and is very common. Nothing new these days.

This number is from a company calling themselves "Dream Escapes". They tend to have kiosks around where you can 'win' a trip to Orlando, etc, but then ask you to PAY them. A PRIZE does not involve you giving your credit card number to anyone.

They also claimed that once you got disconnected, the prize goes automatically to the next person on the list. Yet they called back. Constantly. This is a scam. They have been reported.

If you tell them you filed a bankruptcy, and that you don't own any credit cards nor check book, they might stop calling you since they are after your money.

This number is from Dream escapes. Typically this is a service you signed up for most likely at a state fair, He was the guy with the wheel that you spin and if it lands on the green spot vaca is free. If not he harasses you several months later to try and sell you a more expensive vacation than he was at the fair.

Calls around the same time each week. Called twice today. The last time I got one of these calls I let them go through the whole spill and when they asked for my credit card number and the kind of credit card I would be using to pay for the vacation, I told them that I do not have a credit card. There was a long pause and then they hung up.

Just called it back.  It's Orlando Dream Escapes Resorts or something like that, trying to sell time shares or "dream" vacations.  I've asked to be taken off the list many times but they still call.  I was interested 3+ years ago but still get the calls.
