They are still at it. Recevied a call from Brian Sullivan and Yvonne his assistant for Forbes Living.  They asked for the $19,700.  They used the same line that you'll see above about the internet isn't patrolled so some employees a couple of years ago set out to destroy them.  See the links above from nony mouse.  You'll see immediately that this is a SCAM!!

They're back with a 954 312 2075 number now and the caller is Sherry.  Zach Bunn is now 'producing' a Today in America business show which I'm sure will knock Today and Good Morning America off TV altogether.

Steve, your reply is word-for-word identical to the reply made by a guy who calls himself Ron Lyons when you scroll down this similar page:

http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-954-379-4390

I think we all understand the fraud "Steve" [whatever your real name is.]

I've received the "Bob Chenoff" call and have opted not to waste a half an hour of my life on this.  What I consider immoral here is the theft of people's time in a bait-and-switch game.  Their services may indeed be of some value, but the "let's pretend we need your help for an upcoming show so we can try to sell you something" approach is a fraudulent abuse of people's time and desire to share their passion.

Heather Davis left 2 VMs, ostensibly calling for Inside Business Report. That "Emerging Innovations ... 21st century" is what I got too. On the IBR web site I searched for her name and came up with nothing. A more general web search brought up this 800notes page - thanks to those who set it up. Heather left two different callback numbers: 954 671 1095 was one of them. Strikes me that some of the posts here in support of the scam may originate from the organization perpetrating this. "Making a living like everyone else in this struggling economy?"  Excuse me, but some of us are busy doing precisely that.  Honestly.

Hi, I had a similar call with similar scenario but if its ligit then why does Heather Davis have so many different bosses?????
Hope this helps more people avoid the scam.

I got a call from a person called "Heather Davis" from "Inside Business Report" wanting to do a story on "Medical Tourism" which would be shown on CNN.  It was all pretty believeable except that so they could get a true "partnership" going the cost of the segment would be $29,500.  Over a period of a week or so I got phone calls from more and more important people.  Because I am in another country I didn't know who all these supposedly famous people were but started to smell a rat.  Yesterday I had a 30 minute phone call from the "Associate Producer" which made me a bit more suspicious because it seemed that he had not read my briefing information very well.  I have since googled their names with "scam" and come up with quite a lot of associated scams with similar stories off different phone numbers.

I became suspicious when the website looked a bit amateur, and when I could not load information directly onto their web-document. And then I could not understand why they, as a "news" article had to buy the segments on TV channels.

Similar calls have been recorded on the number 1-954-461-2175

The names I had were "Susan Eisner"
Offices of "Anthony DiMeglio"
Programme "The Art of Living"
"Inside business report"
"George Davis"
"Heather Davis"

Here's some of their email to me:
We are finalizing the scheduling for ?The Art of Living? with Marilu Henner, and more specifically, our segments for the 2010 season. We are considering Medical Tourism-XXX (I've removed the country) for a five (5) minute segment on topics, trends and issues related to ?Focus on Medical Tourism? in our "Global Healthcare" series

This segment will air one (1) time nationally on Discovery Channel, one (1) time nationally on Travel Channel and thirty (30) times regionally on CNN Headline News through regional cable operators and/or Regional News Networks  in many of the top 100 markets nationwide based on viewer demographics, interests and distribution checklist. As discussed, The Art of Living and its programs have no direct affiliation with the networks on which they air.

$29,700 USD is the total scheduling fee. Keep in mind, the Senior Producer will have some additional questions prior to final scheduling of this segment.

The Senior Producer I will contact you on Thursday, December 3rd at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Received a call on November 5th telling me that their research department has selected my firm to do a piece on Inside Business.  They set up an appointment to call again on Monday November 9th.  I spoke to Craig Molloy an assistant producer.  After 23 minutes of questions and answers he admitted that he did not know much about the financial services business but that his executive producer might need me to answer more detail questions.  At the end of the dialogue he stated that he needed $24,700 for "scheduling fees" We agreed to touch base in 24 to 36 hours.  when I went looking to find out about them on the internet, I was unable to locate any trace of them on the internet or any connection to Inside Business.  I received a phone call on Wednesday for my answer to whether I would want to proceed which I was unable to take.  When I looked at my phone it showed that the calls were from Market Movers.  I called the number and was greeted with a recorded message stating that I has reached the offices of "The Art Of Living"  To recap the caller identified himself as being part of a company called "Studio Department", his phone messages show up as "Market Movers" and when you call them you reach "The Art of Living".  Do you think this is legitimate?  Also there are several posts from "Steve" questioning whether the posters on this forum have actually had dealings to justify how critical everyone is.  My answer to Steve is that any reputable firm would not be this difficult to track, would not have different names (email addresses, phone displays, answering services), would not have the same MO with different particulars, and would not ask for funding for a service that organizations usually get paid for.  Be careful.

I received a call on October 5, 2009 from Andrea Miller representing "the Art of Living" tv program (if it exists).  The purpose of her call was to set up a time for one of the show's producers (Bob Chenoff) to call me on October 7, 2009 to discuss my business.  I was immediately suspicious as I am the director of a branch of county government.  My call with Bob should be interesting when we have our little chat later today.

I can't give too many details because of a NDA. A company that I contract for was contacted by Matt Silverman (msilverman@studiodept.com) to do a segment for a show called Our Planet. After some sleuthing I came across this page as well as more articles about the various aliases this company goes by.

Hugo's Right!

They are still at it. I run a web based visual communications software company and this is absurd.

August 10, 2009: Monday, I got a call from Heather Davis (unavailable number) and she briefly said that I was chosen to speak on a topic for "Do More with Less".  She briefly screened me and my company and said she would set up an appointment with the Associate Produce Brian Sullivan.  Before she hung up, she referred me to www.ibreport.com.  When I asked her how she got my information or how I was chosen, she replied to me that her research team chooses select companies. Also, when asked what other companies are also doing a segment on this topic, she replied back with a non sensible answer.

August 11, 2009: Tuesday I get a call from Brian Sullivan and I prepared myself for what I thought was a screening. I answered questions about my company, spoke about future trends and how the economy can benefit, etc... By the end of my so called interview, Brian Sullivan discusses with me the schedule fee of $19,7000. From there I pulled back.  I've done a few feature already and was never asked to pay a dime. Reason being, is that I'm providing them with valuable content about an industry.  He kept going about the schedule fee and discussed a future call from Sr. Producer for a final screening process. The schedule for that is Thursday.  Hopefully, this will buy me enough time to contact the local authorities and catch these scamming criminals.

Here is his follow up email: ****************************************

We are finalizing the scheduling for ?Inside Business Report? with Fred Thompson and more specifically, our segments for the 2009/2010 series. We are considering V-cube Inc for a five (5) minute segment on topics, trends and issues related to ?Doing more with Less in these Challenging Times? in our ?Report on Technology? series.

This segment will air one (1) time nationally on CNBC and ten (10) times regionally on CNN Headline News through regional cable operators and Regional News Networks in many of the top 100 markets nationwide based on viewer demographics, interests and the distribution checklist. As discussed, Inside Business Report has no direct affiliation with the networks on which they air.

$19,700 is the total scheduling fee. Keep in mind, the Senior Producer will have some additional questions prior to final scheduling of this segment.

The Senior Producer and I will contact you on Thursday, August 13th at 1:30 p.m. EDT.

Brian Sullivan

Definitely NOT a Scam, i thought the same thing at first because of everything that was on this site. I still decided to take the call that i had with the producer, then I had a second call that was set up with one of the executive producers and after expressing my concerns they invited me to their studios which i decided to go.

Let me say that it was one of the most pleasant experiences that I have had, professionals who take pride in what they do, not one unhappy guest that has worked with them and had the chance to speak with guests that they worked with in the past. I decided to move forward and will now be one of their references.

The one thing that really bothers me is that everyone who has written comments on this site has never worked with this company and in some cases has never spoke to anyone but the assistant. Listen, it may not be for everyone, i am very pleased with my experience and so are all the others who were involved in the project. It is unfortunate that the internet can be used in this way with out any consideration to the individuals or organizations that it effects.

On July 27, 2009, we received a phone call from an Andria Miller who claimed to represent Inside Business in Coral Springs, Fla and claimed her manager wanted to discuss some business aspects of our small company and it was going to be a TV production filming in a few weeks. We questioned her (and she appeared unformatable at first and then she gave us her website as: 954-671-1079 and a website of: goinsidebusiness.com

This sounded like a scam to us. We called back and she answered and we told her we thought it was a scam after we checked it on the internet and she was unprofessional. Her original number came up as an unknown caller.

Tammy called us from "Inside Business" and told me associate producer Zach Bunn would like to interview us for a segment on an upcoming show. I asked if we had to pay (I've been called by these companies before) and she said that there was a scheduling fee but couldn't give me the amount, it would have to come from Zach. I'd stay away from this.

I agree with LM.  This scam should not be ignored.  Like all cons, this starts with a human weakness, vanity.  In this case, they hope your ego will be stroked by the hopes of appearing on the "talkedy box".  I am sure its a profitable scam, however.  One look at regional TV commercials and you'll see just how many rubes wanna get themselves (and their unibrow prodigy) on TV.

I received a similar call -- based on their "research" -- from a woman representing herself as Tammy (954) 379-4401.  She said that her boss Don Pratt wanted to speak with me in regard to a potential story about my firm.  Tammy refered me to their website www.goinsidebusiness.com and we agreed that I would call Don back at (954) 379-4335.

I called Don at the agreed time.  Before we started to talk I asked him to confirm Tammy's last name and their website address.  He geve me Vacarino as Tammmy's last name and www.usmediatelevision.com as their website.

At this point, I decided to share with Don that I was aware that their reputation had been drawn into question.  He responded that "Anyone can say anything about anyone."  I responded that a number of people had raised the concern.  He asked where I heard this. I encouraged him to deploy his "research department" to research his own organization and that they would have no trouble discovering out what others thing about them.
