Same thing happened to me may 2009. woman's voice came on and said that the visa debit card has a security issue. this is a scam!

A computer sounding message that said " hello, this is the visa services calling to inform you that your Visa debit card has a security issue, in order to activate your card please call 1-877-897-4478, or press one now". The message was called to my work number and the same message was repeated for about 3 minutes, then disconnected.

a women sounding computer voice said " hello, this is the visa services calling to inform you that your debit card will only work for shopping prrposes, in order to activate your card please call 1-877-897-4478, or press one now". that message kept repeating over and over and over, it alwayw looked like i had a new message on my cell phone even though i listened to the message repeat for three minuets.it would not be over, so i deleted it.
