These idiots have called every day for the past week--leave no message on ans. machine. I finally talked to one of the reps. today. I told her that we have no interest in their services because we have no, none, nada credit cards and that we are on the National DO NOT CALL registry. This may stop  the sh---- calls. Certainly hope so.

These people have been calling for years. Wasting their time by playing along doesn't work, cussing them out doesn't work, they cuss right back.  I've reported them to the national Do Not Call list.  My guess is nothing will be done about it.  Why doesn't the phone company have an easy to reach complaint center?  I am certain they are credit card fraud/identity theft operation.

Good luck getting off their calling list.

I've receive at least a dozen calls to "lower my interest rate" never leaving any information identifying who is calling. I attempted three times to get a hold of someone to find out who they are by pressing one. The first time I waited for ten minutes and was disconnected, the second time I talked to a the representative and after I asked who they were I got hung up on, the three time I played along for several minutes to finally find out they were "Credit Services" and I asked to be removed from their call list. Hopefully this will work.

Dido with all the above comments.  Tried pressing #1 once and spoke to talk to a "live" rep whose name apparently was Steve. He must work for the dark forces in humanity for he was belligerent and eventually agreed to give me a number to call to get off their list (after aggressive sales pitching and not backing down)  and then promptly hung up on me.
I am also on the do not call registry. Nice!

They have been calling our landline for years and we've been on the Do Not Call registry since it began.  They identify themselves as Account Services on the recording.  As you navigate through their automated system, they call themselves Credit Card Services and the reps identify them as Financial Services.  Direct requests to reps to be put on their do-not-call list have not panned out, although I've been cussed out, hung up on and told to press two the next time a call comes in. Pressing two does not stop the calls, by the way.  If it bothers you so much, report them.  Enough people reporting this number to the FTC under the name Account Services might make a difference.  Maybe.  Right?

Checked my caller ID before picking up.  Since I only know one person in Florida (which is the state where the call was from), I waited to hear their message (which they didn't leave).  After looking up and finding this site's info and comments regarding the caller, I'm glad I didn't answer.  I'm also on the "Do Not Call List".

I received this "lower your credit card interest" call form that at my work number.  How the heck did they get that?  If you listen to the recorded pitch, you can press 2 to not receive any further notices...we'll see if that works.

Don't bother calling back the number; they use a fake one for Caller ID. They're hoping you'll give them your personal information, probably so they can steal your identity. Since it's not a legitimate company, they won't abide by the Do Not Call List, so screaming about that won't do any good. Either don't answer their calls, or ask them to put you on their do not call list, and hope that works.

WHO are they?  What good is a 'do not call' list if no one cares...The list should be for money grubbing politicians too...

The entire Houston area is scrambling to prepare for a devastating hurricane. There will be widespread destsruction of property and deaths. I get an anonymous call about lowering my interest rates. Incredibly bad taste. I am already on the Do Not Call List and will report this to the "proper authorities," but I will get a form response telling me that I don't have enough information. You can't win when there are people and companies with no scruples. I herewith invite all of them to take a boat ride in Galveston Bay tonight!

Number calls almost every week.  Identifies itself as "Credit Services".  I have asked to be removed several times to no avail.  Today, I acted interested and took up about 10 minutes of their time before finally disclosing that I just wanted off the call list and that I was going to waste their time on every call if they did not take me off the list.  She hung up.

Just got message on answerinf machine about reducing my interest rate on my current account.  I don't have a current account with an interest rate, I'm on the DO NOT CALL Registry, also.

The new age of SPAM TELEPHONE CALLS has begun.

I called the number back and got the "this number has been disconnected", amazing that happened within two minutes of the original call to me.

You can go back to the do not call registery and file a complaint on the site. I did and if enough others do also, they may get something done.

This number called me at 9:31 a.m. 9/16/08. I didn't answer. No message was left. I know no such person as Mary Couillard. From what others here say, it sounds like these scum are phishing.

Also, if you have a bank and credit cards, contact your bank and let them know that they called.  Where you can't get with reporting them for DNC violations, your bank can by having these people pretending to be your credit card company.  My bank pursues legal action when I contact them with the information.

Called today, 9/16 at 1:18p, recording just as above, asking me to push one to refinance.  I asked which bank she was calling on behalf of, and she said Visa/Mastercard/AmEx.  I said which bank, she again said Visa/Mastercard/AmEx.  I said that our credit cards were held by specific banks, and I wanted to know what bank they were calling from...  She asked if I wanted to refinance, and when I said I needed to know which bank she was calling from, she hung up.

I reported it to the DNCR and called my credit card agency with the number, from Ft. Laurdale FL

DO NOT EVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE.  THIS IS A SCAM TO TRY TO EXTRACT INFORMATION FROM YOU.  ONLY GIVE INFORMATION IF YOU WANT YOUR IDENITY TO BE STOLEN AND ANY CREDIT CARD CHARGED TO THE MAX.
"Don't be alarmed...your time is running out to lower your interest rates...today is the final day, etc.  Press 1 to speak with a representative"....  I pressed "1" and asked who they were, and they responded that they were my Visa card company and this was the last day that they could lower my interest rates.  I then asked of which of my many credit card companies they were calling from...and he promptly hung up on me.  Folks, your credit card company WILL NEVER call you to ask if you want your interest rates reduced.  They are in the business of keeping what money and the highest interest rates they can charge.  If you want your interest rates lowered, ALWAYS, CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY YOURSELF WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER LOCATED ON YOUR LASTEST STATEMENT.  Never, and I mean NEVER, answer any question put to you by someone calling you!  If you ever have any concerns about the nature of the call from whatever company (they say they are from, HANG UP.  And call the company yourself from the number listed on your latest statement, or from your local phone book, NEVER from the phone number that the caller gives you!

I had a friend who had a cell phone and when she didnt want to be bothered she would put a recording on her voicemail that the phone number you were calling was no longer in service, and people would hang up thinking that they were calling a number that was disconnected. SO these numbers might not really be disconnected
