I received a call from Safetrust Financial in 2009. They sent me all kinds of paper work to fill out and told me within a few days that I was approved for a modification. Needless to say, every phone number I try to contact them at is disconnected. I can not locate this so called company anywhere. I have lost $1500.00 and am in danger of a foreclosure. If anyone has information about this company please let me know.

Your debts aren't settled. You haven't acquired enough money in escrow yet.
safetrust client 2010-03-17 07:14:48 Unknown
I signed up with Lifegaurd Financial 7 months ago, and now it is Safetrust. I am paying $650 a month on a 2 year plan, but there is only $1000 in my escrow account. Amazing! The 1st 3 months, my escrow received $10 whole dollars. Now, $390 is going into the account. I have now been informed that the co. collects 15% of the entire amount, and apparently they are taking their share 1st. None of my debts have been settled, or are really in negotiation. I don't have enough in my escrow account. WTH?!?! I was assured they could pay a reduced amount as soon as an amount was agreed upon, but when you visit the website it states that there needs to be enough money in the escrow for them to settle. So, when my creditors call, they are told that there is nothing that can be done at this time. I am ready to cancel my contract and eat the loss. The fees are outrageous and HIDDEN. Why doesn't the co. take 15% of each check? My escrow would be building and I could start paying my debts off. RED FLAG. Very concerned about this, VERY

Maybe if you spent more time paying your bills instead of prank calling safetrust you would be satisfied with there services or in fact wouldnt even need it. Get a life! And hope it is debt free!
Safetrust Satisfied 2010-03-11 19:09:33 Unknown
you are not stating facts. I am a client whos debt was settled. You should not go around posting things that you have made up in your own head.
Safetrust Satisfied 2010-03-11 19:06:37 Unknown
That is the california office. There are many offices and they are not all ran by jerks. You should not base your opinion of the whole company just from one office. And you should really think about this statement, what EXemployee is going to talk good about the company or boss that terminated them? Commen sense tells you it was a bitter statement.
Safetrust Satisfied 2010-03-11 19:03:25 Unknown
You did not deal with Safetrust if u had you would not be bashing them I have completed the program and i am now debt free.
Safetrust Satisfied 2010-03-11 18:56:35 Unknown
You should not base the whole company on what goes on in the sales pit. All sales men are liars but all they do is get you to sign up for the company. We are the ones who take care of the clients. What the company promises is not a lie. With completing the program it is a promise that you will be debt free!!!

The reason guys work in these boiler rooms is because that can't get a real job. They fail the drug and background check.
Bob S. 2010-02-08 23:45:17 Unknown
The sales staff in these boiler rooms are the lowest on earth.Hide your daughters.
Gene 2010-02-08 23:37:57 Unknown
Amen!Never trust high pressure calls.THe more they pressure,the more it;s a lie.
Joan 2010-02-08 23:34:16 Unknown
Sounds like an employee.Did they give you a small spiff to write this?
Phil 2010-02-08 23:30:59 Unknown
Got inside scoop from an exworker that the California office is ran by some arrogant guy from Philadelphia that thinks his crap don;t stink.
Julia 2010-02-08 23:26:21 Unknown
They have an F.Pressure calls means scams everytime.
Butch 2010-02-08 23:22:59 Unknown

igh 2010-02-05 12:50:06 Unknown
so what, you posted some link to some article. doesnt prove anything, what does prove is there fraudulant callers who claim you have debt and you must use you them to reduce your debt. Who keep calling and calling even when you tell them to stop, what is proof is when they wont tell you who htey are or where they are from. They are scammers. period.

There are no up front fees with us. But there are a lot of companies out there that ARE scamming people, and it is a really messed up that they are taking hard working people's money. It makes it a lot hard for us to differentiate ourselves from the scammers.
Thank you,
-Sean

Of course, Bernie Madoff was in business for decades.
This is, at best an upfront fee scam, and at worst an identity theft ring. Stay away, stay FAR away! You can work this out with your creditors directly, or for no fees. Anyone who charges for this so-called service will only make things worse, and they are picking on the victims who can least afford it, taking from the poor and giving to the wannabe-rich -- THEMSELVES!
S-C-A-M all day all the time

We settle all of our clients accounts. If we were not, do you really think that we'd still be in business? You don't get away with scams like that. Debt settlement is a very up and coming industry, and we are leading the way. We won't be shut down, because we do good work for our clients without ripping them off. With success comes criticism. Settlement is a great way to get out of debt, it is not unethical, and in some cases is the only other bankruptcy alternative.
Thank you,
-Sean

For those of you who are wondering I AM an employee of Safetrust Financial. We used to be Lifeguard and when they were purchased by us there were a lot of problems in the transition, offices were moved, people who were in leadership and shouldn't have been were fired and the company revised it's policies. If you were called and asked to be taken off the list you SHOULD have been taken off...it is required by us to do so. If you do any research you will see that all settlement companies, not just ours, are not currently being rated and it has nothing to do with anything other then the fact that the BBB does not consider debt settlement a viable option for consumers to get out of debt(see the article titled ?Settlement companies protest better business bureau rating system? by Gerri Detweiler. Of course they don't because other programs such as consolidation pay them much more money then we do. I am sorry for those who have experienced a rude or unknowledgeable representative but I assure you some of us do love what we do, know what we are talking about and work to help people.
Let me make one thing very clear...I get paid a certain amount per day, I make 10% of the first month's payment and that is IT. I do not make 50% or 100% of anything and I do not do what I do for the money because trust me the average person who works for this company helps 1-2 people per week due to the sensitivity of the topic. For those of you who have signed up with this program, you can attest the average monthly payment is 300-500 dollars. So I make 60-100 dollars a week in commissions on top of my daily salary. Calling me greedy would offend me because I could make so much more money doing something else but I LOVE knowing that someone was 2 weeks from bankruptcy court and we were able to get them debt free in 4 years instead. I can not speak for everyone but I know my clients are satisfied.
The purpose for this post is not to try and gain any extra clients, hence why I will not give my work number out, it is only to help people understand that anything you read should be taken with a grain of salt and there are two sides to every story.

Did you actually use SafeTrust? Have you sent them money and have they paid off any of your credit cards?
paul 2009-12-18 01:11:30 Unknown
you could not be more inaccurate. they got me debt free in two years time and life is much, much better for my family and myself. you are a fool
steve 2009-12-18 01:09:02 Unknown
maybe if you spent the time to actually listen and asked some questions you would see that this company is 100% for real and is very, very good at getting people out of debt once and for all
Juan 2009-12-04 14:19:44 Unknown
Dont want more call.
