We get that same type of call. Now how can everyone's web page be first? Do they really think that the public is that stupid?
Princess 2012-09-14 15:57:07 Unknown
I don't know whether you phone will do this, but with my cell phone I can save the phone number under "Do Not Answer" and then go into my options and have it go straight to voice mail. That way I don't even have to hear it ring.
We also get these calls so that is how I deal with them on my phone. Some days I look at my recent calls and have about 4 or 5 of these "Do Not Answer" calls. I don't think there is a limit of how many calls can go under this name and I have about 30 of them so far.

They tried to guarantee my website would get first page listing on Google, Bing and Yahoo for $500.00 setup fee and $150.00 a month thereafter.

If I had my own nuke, I would program it to hit this phone room. I'm sick of them calling all day and night, with this same crap. Unfortunately, my phone system will only allow me to block 10 numbers at a time, so I'm constantly having to update the list.
Hello, site manger? Please make one of the options of Call Type to be SCAM, since that's what the majority of reported calls are. They're not legit telemarketers.

They keep changing numbers.
Robot spiel designed to be casual enough that you initially think you're on the line with a human. Affiliates themselves with a well-known internet company by name.
Funny, as often as not I'll press '1' to be connected and will get disconnected. And plenty more than once I've pressed '2' to be "removed from our calling list" and been connected to a saleman. Slick move, I gotta admit!
Every time a person/company calls I ask them to say the name of the company. The vast majority promptly hang up. For those few that name their company (often as not it is a Fortune 500 company they claim), asking for their address is often enough to elicit an argument and allows me to confidently dump the call.

They called my Skype number and I am able to block all incoming calls from this number.
Don Scamme 2011-11-09 00:25:06 Unknown
You verified that you received the call and that it is a good working number. The calls will continue until
you change your number, and btw-that's no guarantee either.

SCAM SCAM SCAM.
Watch out. Several calls a day from a disembodied voice/number wanting to sell me this and that but declining to be specific about who they are, the return call number, company -you guessed it. Warranty renewals, Google advertising and numerous hang up that won't go to VM. Abandon all Hope, All Ye who Enter Here! Don't leave any information and if you see a number like the one posted, simply don't answer.
Don.

damn every week the same call this is robert we can get you on google first page bla bla bla
I have asked many times to be removed from the call list nothing seems to work
BWS 2011-11-08 22:48:49 Telemarketer
They keep calling my private residence even though I am on the do not call list and I have asked on at least three occasions to be removed. You would think they would be bright enough to stop trying to sell business services to a private residence and wasting their own time as well as mine. Today I filed complaints with both the FTC and the FCC. Check your local state attorney general's website for direct links or search FTC.gov or FCC.gov to report.
Seldomane 2011-11-08 21:17:38 Unknown
Same as the rest, called offering front page services, hitting 2 to get off the call list does nothing and I'm registered on Do-not-call list. Says "Florida Call" on ID, who knows. They're aching for a breaking!

I've been dealing with the worst kind of harassment from a telemarketer that was given my company email and name and phone number by a so called ' cash flow' company that hacked our church's email database and sold our info to several companies and boiler rooms in some Asian country. It's been a nightmare. Anyway, I called the FBI for assistance and after explaining to them that I cannot just change my phone number as they suggested since I have a business, they told me to answer the phone and immediately press the * button. Apparently this blocks them from calling again. Every time that I do this, I never receive calls from that number again.
If you are unsure if the mystery caller is a shyster, then just say hello, wait for their message and then press the * button. I don't think that it's time sensitive.

I am in Pa and am receiving on average 8 calls per day from various telemarketers. I am very tired of it. I don't know if it is possible to sue them, but I would be interested in getting a law passed so that business's can be on the DO NOT CALL LIST. It's unexceptable that because we are a business, it is fair game for these annoying jerks!
Jasmine 2011-11-08 15:45:01 Unknown
954-606-6558 keep getting calls you press #2 to remove off the call list. DOES NOT WORK
ARamblingRose 2011-11-08 15:41:53 Unknown
I am NOT a business and continue to receive these calls on my cell phone. I have pressed the appropriate # to STOP receiving these calls to no avail. Really truly aggravating!
Steve 2011-11-08 14:59:59 Unknown
This number calls my place of business on a regular basis...I answer and the line hangs up without any response after a few seconds... Clearly a scam call and a royal pain in the butt. So much for the do not call lists.

Yes this scott and roger guy should be shot. FBI track down these losers don't give them a trial just shoot them right in the head... wait shoot all their family members 1st so they can feel the punishment for 1 minute before you shoot them too. Then we will know you care the badge with honor. Protect and serve the 99 %. These SEM guys are complete frauds.

US Laws Do Not Apply To Them - Their laws to do not apply to us
Foreign Countries have phone rooms where they hire rooms full of people to call US Business Numbers. An Autodialer makes the call & the first availabe person is on the line. The people do Not dial the number themselves, a computer does it for them.
These calls are routed to phone Numbers in the US that are nothing more than a "Transfer" Number. (Ask the phone company how this works.) That is why it appears that the call is from New York or Utah, when it's really from New Delhi or Argentina.
Where I work we had to set up an Answer system & the callers First have to listen to our "options" - This stops some calls, especially computer dials. When I determine that this is a "Pest" (I can't post my real nickname for them), or a machine, I can Block their number. (Got a lot of them).
There are several on the market - Ask your phone carrier By using this system, our business tacks on Another Expense. But I Do Enjoy Clicking the "Block" Button

I keep getting calls from 954-606-6558. I have been filing a complaint with do not call but the calls keep coming. How do you file a complaint with the attorney general?? This is a broward county number. That is the scam capital of the world. I would join a class action if I could.

Here's one for you readers. Guy calls and tries to sell an extended warranty on the car we had purchased.
Says he's from Toyota Guarantee Services and Warranty? NOT! Background noise sounds like a phone mill operation. Problem is the last new car we purchased is a few years old and we already have a extended warranty. When I asked for a number, the man got upset and hung up. Really? Ten minutes later...? You guessed it-he calls back again and didn't realize (?) that he reached the same party. The usual, he wanted my CC number and asked my name-same crap as before. Don't ever leave
your CC or any other personal information. Warranty scams abound! We have received no less than
20 calls and additional scam mailers. Watch out.

On Friday, 4 Nov 11, I got several calls from these people. When I called back, it was a message saying they had just purchased over 500,000 accounts from the Sony Playstation network. If I wanted the account holder's names, phone numbers, and IDs I needed to leave my name, phone number, credit card information, bank account number, and routing number!
Hello! Total scammers here! Do they REALLY think anyone is going to leave their bank account or credit card information on an answering machine?!
Telemarketers are the spawn of Satan 2011-11-04 17:06:20 Unknown
The Caller ID is spoofed, since it shows "Fort Lauderd FL" instead of the real company name.
Called today with a prerecorded message about getting a "Merchant Stimulus Grant." Since pressing 2 doesn't do any good, I pressed 1 to talk to a person. When she picked up, she asked if I was interested in Merchant Incentive Funding. Totally different thing. When I asked what company she represented, she said she had a hard time hearing me. When I again asked what company she was with, she said the call was breaking up. I then told her to take me off the list, and hung up. It won't do any good.
Just answering the call, either live or via voicemail, proves that it's a live number. Pressing 2 just proves that it's not just a voicemail number, but that a live person answers. Either way, it just means they'll keep you on the list, and sell your number to others.

I just got a call from that number but did not answer. I called it back and also listened to the message about buying identities. I have a friend in the FBI. I am giving him the info for this call. I can't stand being bothered. This number is my cell Phone and yes I use my phone for work but it is a personal family plan so I will also try to file a complaint with the attorney general. They make us register with them to protect home owners but who protects us?

Got a call from this number early this morning. I didn't answer the phone and they didn't leave a message.
