I have never seen "i.q.", it is normally written IQ.  But when speaking of numbers, of which IQ is one, the normal comparison adjective is "larger", as in "On a scale of one to ten for affective shilling, I would rate them a three, which is only slightly larger than their highest education level, which I would estimate at two.
