Just had a missed call form this number as well.
Irritates me, I don't use Lenscrafters now, but have in the past.
They were calling my cell as well.

i have gone to the optometrist at lens crafters and am due for another apointment, but this would not be the local office's number. i have not answered it, nor returned any phone calls, but they have called me three times with no messages left.

I got a missed call from this number around 9am and it was strange due to the area code, 954. They didn't leave a message but I was curious and when I called back the first thing they said was can I have your telephone number. Obviously since they called me they had it and I gave it to them and she knew my full name. She said she was calling on behalf of Lenscrafters to remind me of my yearly eye exam. It's weird...

I have gotten calls from this number 2 days in a row. They call during work hours so no one is here to answer the calls and they do not leave messages. My caller ID reads Eye Drs Office. I used to live in this area code but have not for almost 6 years so I thought that maybe this was my old docs office but I checked his number is this is not it.

It's a Lenscrafter appointment reminder service as others have mentioned. I've gotten the calls too, and no message left. What is really lame about it (among other things), is that Lenscrafters schedule the appointment for you without asking and then they apparently hire this company to "remind" you of your appointment. At least that's the story for my situation. The call corresponds with a postcard in the mail about the appointment that THEY scheduled for me. Really poor judgement on their part to take this approach - I know that I'm done with them for this cheesy BS tactic.

I have received this obviously "rogue call" 4 times in the past week. The latest call was yesterday, Saturday, 5/10/2008, at 10:11 AM (CDT). The display says "EYE DRS OFFICE". My last visit to an Eye Doctor's was in Madison, Wisconsin on 4/25/2008 and their phone's area code is 608. All 4 times I wasn't there to answer and all 4 times NO message was left on my voice mail.
This sounds like a bad joke - much like some of the email nonsense spam in circulation.

Apparently they haven't been shut down - this is still happening.

I just got a call from this number and, of course, no message left. I moved from Boca Raton, FL (954 area code) a year and a half ago and I did go to a LensCrafter's shortly before I moved; however, I do not have the same cell phone number I had at the time, so there's no way they got my new number from an eye doctor place. I haven't seen one since that last time in Florida (I know..I know..I should go every year..haha) so I'm curious as to how they got my new cell number..grr!

I go to an eye dr in a lenscrafter store, here in Cleveland, Ohio. I am guessing that the number comes up when any Lenscrafters calls, because I just got a call from my dr's office here in Cleveland, but it came up as this Florida number.

They scarey thing is that I actually got a vm from this # reminding me of my June 19 appt. (which I didn't make) It was not a computer msg,and the lady used my name. I called back this number and it was an answering service for 300 diff. co. The person who answered said she couldn't tell me who was calling without me giving my name and # I was calling from. Before this, I just got calls from this number but no msg for the last 2 weeks-daily.

Called back, did at least get a live person picking up. Was told the call was a reminder of an appointment I had made last year when I went in to lenscrafters, which is a LIE- I imagine to try to pressure you into thinking you might be billed for a "missed appointment." Bunch of BS- it's just them trying to set up a yearly appointment. Really stupid tactic- they've lost my business forever. Tell them to put you on their do not call list, as I did, response was it would take 24 hours.

This is a number (service) that verify's RX info for 1800-Contacts

This # is an appointment reminder service for Lenscrafters. If you ever went to an eye doctor in Lens Crafters your patient information will be kept in a computer system and when a year has went by and you are due back for an eye exam Lenscrafters will automatically schedule the appointment for you; I rec'd a postcard in the mail stating my appointment date/time and then this morning I rec'd a call from this # confirming that the date/time was convenient for me.

I recieved calls from tis number as well. I am a Lenscrafters customer and I am very inclined to believe since reading eveyone else's comments that our info was illegally disclosed to a soliciter by Lenscrafters or one of their employess and either way they are liable.

This number showed up as "STC SECURITIES". The call was for my husband so he took the call. They were supposedly checking to see if the date they made for an eye appt. was ok, which it wasn't as we had not made an appt. with this Dr. who works in Lens Crafters. What is really going on with this number?
Malinda 2011-06-06 21:08:07 Unknown
It is an appointment reminder service for all Lenscrafters. I called back and they called from my eye doctor to remind me.
Mary 2011-06-06 21:08:07 Unknown
Call your doctor's office and tell them that you've received calls from this phone number (it is a Florida number). They should be able to figure it out for you.

I just had a missed call on my cell from this number and I did not know who this is or why they would all me. Thanks for the comments from everyone else I now know who this caller is.

I got a call from this number and they left a message. They are calling on my cell phone and isn't that against the law or something? I actually just changed my cell phone number because I was getting called from every 800 number in the world selling everything under the sun. It's irriatating. And just because its a cell phone or your name is on a do not call list, the companies you deal with (credit cards, utilities, etc) sell lists with your name on it and that's how they get your number to call you.

No message left

Called my cell twice today. I called the number back when I got off work and got an automated recording saying "you have reached a non-working number".

First call left no message. The second call left a voicemail that I had an appointment on November 20, 2008 with a doctor I haven't used in 20 years. I did not use Lenscrafters but I did use another chain recently which is Pearl Vision. I tried calling the number to be taken off their list and got put on hold long distance. No thanks. I reported the fraud at ftc.gov.

Got a call from this number but no voicemail.
Krystina 2011-06-06 21:08:07 Unknown
This phone number is from a program called "Total Recall." If you make an appointment with a doctor's office, the staff puts the information in their online appointment book. If you miss the appointment and don't call to cancel it, they have you listed as a no call/no show. Therefore, the program has representatives that call on behalf of the doctor's office.
Another scenario is when you see the doctor, about a year later when you are due for another visit, the representatives call you saying you have a "tentative" appointment or a "pre-appointment." All that means is that you are due for an appointment around that time.

Received a call today, no message, anything. Ordered glasses two years ago from Lens Crafters, haven't made any appointments since, don't know why they would call, if that's who it is...
Matt 2011-06-06 21:08:07 Unknown
Called number back and it was a company scheduling for lenscrafters. I made an appt as it was time to do so. Not that big of a deal folks. The problem is that the calls are outsourced to foreign lands. That is why the leave messages that you don't understand. None of the foreign operators are equipped with great cust serv skills. They do, however, show great restraint when baited into argument. Great folks

This number called my cell. After rings I picked up. No one answered when I said hello. I too do business at Lens Crafters.

Did not respond when I said hello. Don't know who called.
