I got it too... the fact they ask for your debit card is highly suspicious. Didn't trick me.

I got the same text... I was sly and got the text address out of my phone, then I referenced the number... Now I can stop wondering who the heck it was, LOL!

Alright everyone.Figured they cant really scam me much since I have prepaid AND $0 balance atm (I use the $50 monthly unlimited).
I called and it had a pre-reccorded messge that said it was a bank and was going to activate my card. Then it asked for my 16 digit debit card number. I don't even have a debit card! THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE. Do not call, block the number, report this to verizon.
Somehow they got acess to verison's number at 0882 (also called, but NOT the same message) through email, and acess to our numbers. (I believe we are all/mostly CNYers, right?)
Hopefully this gets resolved before anyone falls for it. :(
