Got a call at 8am this morning in Colorado.
They asked for me.  I've gotten so many charity calls this week.  I told them I was not available.  The woman did not I dentify herself.  She said she would call back again.
I did a *69 because of the tone of the caller.  I wanted to be sure it was not someone I knew.

I want one more anonymous caller to stop calling.  I have a very ill relative in FL.  I can see Florida on my caller ID but have to scramble for my glasses to see the phone number to make sure it's not the call I don't want to get.

they claim to give money to cops whom are out of work. i don't know how true that is....

This number has been calling me the past few days.  I believe the area code is for Fort Lauderdale, FL, and I've only been there a couple of days in my lifetime.  I've received calls from other police/fire organizations asking for donations (not tax-deductible,) so I'm assuming that's what this group wanted.  I just let the answering machine pick up the call.

I have been getting calls periodically for over a year.  Never leave a message - just see the number on my caller id.  One time I actually answered and I cussed them out.   They didn't call back for a couple months.  But now they are calling again.  Guess I need to yell at them again.  I wish someone would arrest them and put them out of business.  I think this is a fraudulent "charity."

I started getting these calls about a month ago. They never leave a message because I don't answer calls that I suspect are telemarketers or scammers. One time my daughter answered and they asked for me by my first name only. When she said I wasn't home, they just hung up without saying a word. Now they just keep calling and leaving no message twice a day. If it was legit, they'd say something, or ask when a better time to call back is, or there would be a web site (most charities have a website because its easy to get people to donate using Paypal or something similar). So no, I do not believe this is a legitimate company. I have received many, MANY calls from different numbers, in different states, that do the exact same thing ever since I got on Comcasts digital voice service.

WEIRD AND ANNOYING, recieved call from 954-742-4032 didn't answer left no message, so I googled # and this came up caller I.D. said OFFICER, DOWN

Caller identified himself as Ricky from the Officer Down Foundation.  He thanked me for my $50 donation last year (I've never heard of this organization, so I hadn't donated last year) and asked if I would like to donate the same this year.  I told him I couldn't due to being unemployed, and he thanked me and hung up.  There are also reports about this organization using the number 727-868-6336 (Tampa, FL; I believe 954 is the Ft. Lauderdale area.)

This morning ( 15 July 2010) I too received a phone call from 954-742-4032, with the caller ID as "Officer Down," and found out this site be Google Serch.  What a bother/concern this person is creating.  It would be better if they could just enjoy this blessed day, as I hope you , the reader, will.  Sincerely, J.

They are rude callers. They admited once that they are for profit.

I receive at least 3 calls daily from this number and I never pick up.    Caller ID only says "FLORIDA."  I finally picked up the phone and it's a fund raising company for Fallen Police Officers.  I asked how much of each dollar actually goes to fallen police officers,and he hung up.  Received another call 30 min later, and I politely declined and asked him not to call again.  Have gotten 2 more calls today which I have ignored.

Recieved a call from this number today June 16, 2010 at 2:33 PM.  The Caller ID was "Officer Down".  I didn't answer, because if there was an officer down they would not be calling my home.

I looked up the address (as stalker-ish as that may sound) and it shows an apartment complex

"Officer Down" calls me everyday for months now. Never leaves a message and if I pick up they ask for my husband and before I can finish saying he is unavailable they hang up on me. the other day as soon as I picked up the phone I said "Can you please stop calling here". They still keep calling. My Husband finally answered and they asked for a donation and when he said we can't they acted like they didn't hear him and wanted to verify his address so my husband hung up on them. Very annoying and actually disrupting my life as they call every night at my sons bedtime.

This number  keeps  calling me about between eight and nine in the moring I'm getting tired of it. It says officer down, who the hell  is that. I know I don't have  no issues with the law so what the hell is this all about.

I did the same as Cash. I agree, this could be a scam.

I called this # back and it rang 4 times then said all representatives are busy, please leave a message, I did not leave one, this seems like it could be a major scam if they get the correct info from you.

I received a call from this number, when answered I heard a phone rining at the other end, if someone is calling ME, then I surely am not going to wait for them to pick up.

Receive under caller id:  Officer Down - Sounds like Charity Donation.  Appears i may have spoke with them in the past and THEY WILL NOT STOP CALLING ME.  I never answer this call anymore; they call AM and PM Week and Weekends.  Very Annoyning appears only calls i received these days are looking for hand out

I just got a call from this number tonight as well.  The person asked my son for me directly and he told him I wasn't home only because it was coming from an "officer".  I am very concerned that they may be fishing to see if someone is home.  My son wisely asked for this man's id # and he said something so fast he couldn't get the #'s.  He got suspicious and called me.  I have reported to my local police dept for investigation.  Hopefully they can get this stopped!!!

Please get these people to stop calling my number!

"Officer Down" calls every day, sometimes, two to three times a day.  I have let the answering machine pick up.  They are very persistent.  I have picked up but have waited to hear a response first but there never is.  Totally annoying.

Someone from this number calls everyday at different times of the day.  Doesn't leave a number.  Sometimes doesn't even let it ring long enough to pick it up.  This has been going on for weeks. Can see the number is registered to Naysla Vega in FL.  I just wish they would stop calling.  Caller ID says "Officer Down."

954-742-4032 called my house and the ID came up "OFFICER DOWN"......

We used to receive the calls which would show as "Police Protection" and now they show up as "Officer Down" on our caller ID.

No legitimate charity hangs up on people when you start asking questions.  I could see it happening as an accident maybe once, but not over and over again.

Officer Down is on my caller ID.  phone number 954-742-4032. calls morning, night, weekends.
have never answered but want it to stop.  Tried to put a block on the call but can not get past the busy signal to do that.
