I also received numerous call recently......asked guy to remove my number from his call list and after many attempts to get him to understand....he said, "F*** You" and hung up!

Called the number back out of curiosity and the same guy answered.  I told him he didn't need to swear at me and he needs to remove my number.....he called me a liar and insisted I was someone else and lived on a different street.  I told him I am not a liar and insisted he remove my number from his call list.  He said, "F*** You, Bi***-call police" and hung up.

So I did.....police said they will look into the number to be sure it's not a scam, etc.  I have received 2 calls since in the same day and the day is still young, ugh!

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

BEWARE!!! This guy, using the name Damin Carter claims to be from Cash Awards Company-said I won $3.5 million,a car-a Mercedes Benz C-class,& asst'd goodies like a year free insurance & a gas coupon (usable at any Texaco stations).I-here it comes-would ONLY have to pay 1% of the fees & taxes,as the company 'has a deal with the IRS' (that's interesting-I didn't know you could HAVE deals with them!) My 1% is ONLY $2500-& I could pay from Western Union.I told him to red stamp it CANCEL-TOO SMART.I hope that's the end of it..why doesn't this country protect us from these criminals?A lot of elderly have been ripped-off bigtime..
