They've been calling about once a day, but they never leave a message.

My caller id say Washington Mutual. When I answer they hang up.

It just reads Hollywood, FL in caller ID screen. I no long answer any incoming call without an ID and also unless I recognize the caller's name and/or company.

Caller said he's from Washington Mutual Bank. I told him not to waste his time I'm not interested in opening an account and to remove me from their calling list. He hung up. 10 min.later he called again and asked me by my first and last name. I reminded him our conversation from 10 min. ago  he hung up again.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST WEEK.
WHEN THEY CALL THEY DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE AND THEY HAVE ALSO BEEN CALLING THE SAME TIME EVERY MORNING.

Called this morning at 9:27am and last night but did not leave a message whem i answer they try to get information about me.

This number called us this morning and the caller i.d. said WASHINGTON MUTUAL. They are a scam. It was suspicious since Washington Mutual usually has an 800 number with it. Then when we didn't answer, they never left a message. Washington Mutual always identifies themselves and always leaves a message.

This number has called several times without leaving a message. We tried calling back and it's a pager. Total scam!

Calls then clicks when I answered.  4PM 9/4/2008

This number shows up on my Aunt's caller ID everyday for the past 3 weeks with WAMU listed. When we finally answered the call Juan Diaz insisted he talk to my Aunt. He refused to talk to me and hung up. I called this number and another number that also shows as WAMU... Monumental Insurance is one of the providers.  I worry that these calls are only going to Seniors with WAMU account holders.
Cause I'm not getting any calls.

they have called for the past month, there old number was a local 254 number i called wamu and they said it was a acam, now they have a wamu name and on the caller id and but a different number, the 954 number, its a scam they don't speak english.

Calls and asks in SPANISH to talk to me. I don't speak spanish and I told them that and they hung up on me!!! Tried calling them back but can't get through.

These people call us 1-3 times a day, sometimes more. and it's been going on for over 2 weeks now. They wont stop!! They keep asking for me in spanish and when my husband picked up they hung up on him. They say they're from Washington Mutual , but I called WaMu and they said they're not trying to contact me and that number is a fake.

This is me again..I just checked back through my phone calls and the previous time they called it actually said Washington Mut. How did the caller ID change but keep the same phone number?

They just started calling a few days ago..left one message but it was silence for 25 seconds. The caller ID says Hollywood, FL...They just called again and did not leave a message.

wtf!!!!! i get calls from this place every day too!!

I have been receiving phone calls from 954-926-0255 for a couple of weeks. The caller ID reads Washington Mutual. I happen to be a WAMU member so I called corp and asked them to trace the call. They told me that the number was an old number that was no longer in service, I told them it obviously is in service because I am getting calls. Its tough to do anything about it because when I call back the number it states that the number has been disconnected. ON 06/17/08 I answered the phone when I got call from the number in question. The woman spoke to me in spanish and asked for me by name. She went on and on about some insurance package. I told her I wanted to speak to someone who spoke English. She gave me this number (800-537-7158). The number is good but when I called it was past the working hours. The message said that I had reached the Insurance Administration Service for WELLS FARGO!!

These calls are driving me up the wall! I just tried to call the number back and I'm now getting the automated message stating, "I'm sorry. Your call can't be connected as it is no longer in service.  Please hang up and try again..."  This is VERY annoying and frustrating.

THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING MY PHONE EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST WEEK.  AND I DO NOT KNOW WHY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.

I suppose the phone number and information was furnished by your credit card company. Who knows how much information was furnished? Well even if you close your account the company  do not return your application. But for sure I will never enter another J C Penny facility as long as I live. Would suggest that all Americans do the same. They only sell "stuff" from China, like about 90% of our so-called American retailers......This is not their first entry into extra-income seeking ventures...

Called said he was with Washington Mutual.  Selling insurance!

We declined and he said he was referring us to another person to verify our bank information.

We hung up and .  .  .  Called Washington Mutual using the "Corporate Telephone Number" and asking for Security.  Spoke with "Risk Management".

It is a Scam! They are following up with the proper authorities.

Calls every day for a week sometimes a few times a day.  We never check our answering machine so they may or may not have left messages.  After coming here I called back and like one of the people above said, you can call back and select option 2 for taking you off of the call list.  Hopefully it works.

Received 3 calls over one week.  Each time I answered, they hung up immediately.  A Florida WAMU calling a Seattle-area number for ANY reason is dubious at best.  My guess is a spoofer/scammer.

they call everyday ,i work at night and the only time i get to my sleep that the time they  keep on calling and annoying they dont leave amsg.i answered the phone once informed them am not interested but they keep on calling very annoying.

They call Everyday, i alway have to pick up da phone and hang up right away. soo annoying

They keep calling asking for my daughter and when she answers the phone they hang up! How annoying.
