Have had many calls but have not answered.  I decided today to anser.  I told the Bottom Feeder that I would love to have insurance.  I have high blood pressure, heart trouble and very high cholesterol.  I have a very rare form of leukemia and all my attempts to secure life insurance have been futile.  I requested he required information and hope this will be last of the calls.

I will be Habbib next call hoping to insure my camel.  He has been plagued with fleas in his nose hairs and I need coverage to keep him bug free.

These folks have nothing to do with Wells Fargo!  alk to them and waste as much time as possible.  This is the only way we will be able to hit them in the pocket book.  The more time we use on the phone the more it cost them.  Play the game!  Have some fun with them.  Time to take back our freedom.

I also received call but did not answer. Was calling my cell phone. I have no business ties or relationship with WELLS FARGO what so ever. Don't know why they would be calling someone who doesn't have business relationship with them. So apparently they ARE getting BOUGHT information on people in order to call and harrass them on the phone.

Didn't check the caller ID and just picked up the, can you imagine someoen doing that these days?  LOL, well I did and, low and behold I think it startled her because when I asked who they were they gave me their name as Debbie Andrews but wouldn't give the reason for the call or who they were associated with.  I've searched other pages such as this one and the common consensus is that its either a division of Wells Fargo or a telemarketing company associates with Wells Fargo in some way so that makes them ultimately responsible.  If everyone that received these calls, especially those that have registered on the National Do Not Call List were to record the times and number of calls received from them after you've asked them to stop calling you, in California you are able to sue the company for up to $1500.00 per instance in small claims court.  If everyone were to file lawsuits of this nature I'm betting that you'd get the attention of the Wells Fargo Legal Department fairly quickly which would probably put a damper on the number of calls we receive from them in the future.  Just a thought for Californians.  In this economy I'm sure that even the lawyers are looking for a little extra work in order to make ends meet so lets all do our part, okay?  hehehe, I love sticking to big companies that think the law doesn't apply to them, don't you?

Between February 11 and March 27, this number called 19 times. I've blocked this number on my Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phone so when they call, all they get, and will ever get, is a busy signal. All they want is to empty your bank account into theirs. Greedy sons of as*holes. If you're reading this and you are represent this number: Up yours, blood suckers. You've been made.

Weekday evening this number called. Caller ID said WELLS FARGO BANK. I don't bother to answer these crank calls. I never answer the phone unless Caller ID identifies it as someone I know. If a stranger needs to reach me, they can leave voice-mail. If they don't leave voice-mail and/or they call twice, I put them on Call Block--via Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phone. From now on, this party calls, they get a busy signal. Buncha crooks and a**holes.

Here is what you need to do to stop receiving calls from them: call the number 19549265987, when you hear a greeting you have 2 options, for opting out of all calls press option 2, they will ask you to enter your 10 digit phone number and will confirm you will be put on a do not call list. It takes a couple of days to be removed but it works.

The ID of "Wells Fargo" made me pick up the phone, I guess now I'll have to let the phone answer even their IDs. I picked up the phone and said hello at least 3 times while knowing it had to be a telemarketing ploy.
They usually take some time between the last call and the new one, or at least that's what I've heard.

No one responded after my 3rd hello so of course I hung up and came right to this page to see if it were a bogus call using a Wells Fargo ID. I see it was~

Judging from all the others here I see it was probably that insurance sect. They have been sending me those free insurance notices for a $1000. plan. Ever since I've found out about companies using your signature to insure you for them to receive payment on your death like "Walmart" I've stopped accepting any applications for free insurance of any kind.

This a**hole needs to be stopped. I get a call from 1 954-926-5987 at least once a week. They always hang up and never leave a message. Is there a way to report them? This is harassment and they are ignoring the National Do-Not Call List.

The response I received from Wells Fargo bank with regards to this included:

"The phone call you received was sent to you on behalf of Wells Fargo. These calls are designed to keep our customers informed of financial products and services that may be of interest.

Wells Fargo is committed to protecting our customers' privacy and security. You always have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving phone solicitation from us."

Attempting to sell me life insurance...
They do not cope with me requesting them to send me the info via mail.
"To do that you would have to sign up".
I won't sign up for something I haven't read thoroughly.
Given the catcha-22a, I asked them to remove me from their list (almost willing to bet they didn't).
I get the impression that Wells Fargo may not have sanctioned this company to call acting as Wells Fargo; a nice letter to the state manager may be in order. :-)

I am not a Wells Fargo Bank customer or is anyone in my household and they still send my underage son valued customer telemarketing letters constantly even after telling them to STOP sending letters to a non customer and filling complaints. DAILY telemarketing now call everyday from several WFB affiliated telemarketers that I have to try and STOP them from calling , so I have to file complaints daily with the FTC/BBB/FCC on WFB and their affiliated telemarketers. When checking on affiliated telemarketer companies in Wells Fargo Bank telemarketer letters they all have numerous complaints against all of them in several states , VERY SHADY partnership between WFB and telemarketers going on.

I just got a call from this very same number. I had gotten several calls already but since my account is in good standing, i found it odd. So I called them to find out what was going on. I told them i am getting calls from 954-926-5987 and told them to verify the number, which they did. The lady told me that it was from some department of Wells Fargo, calling to offer products of some kind. She told me that the reason they were calling was because i had not put in my account that i preferred not be called. She told me she would change it to "do not call" right away but that it may take up to 60 days to take effect. So if you are a Wells Fargo customer.. call their toll free line which is 1-800-869-3557. Just ask them to change it so you won't be called again. I am hoping this works for me and others that read this message. :) Bye for now. Take care all. :)

It is Wells Fargo - insurance division.   I got tired of them calling, too, and one day picked up the phone when they called.  They tried to sell me accidental death insurance. I said "no, thanks" and asked them to please stop calling. They still call two or three times a day. Very annoying.

It's Wells Fargo Bank selling life insurance. Not sure if it's actually the bank or some third party associated to them, but that's what they said and the ID.

My home phone number is off by one digit from 954-926-5987. I get numerous calls a day stating I just called them. Many people argue with me when I feel like being nice to explain that they have misdialed by one digit. I investigated the phone number myself & think it's a scam. It's a recording that is a third party to Wells Fargo. I reported the phone number to Wells Fargo by phone & email several times over the past year. They are clueless. Today, an employee of  Wells Fargo Bank called me to investigate why my number keeps calling their clients....I just had to laugh.  If 954-926-5987 was a true Wells Fargo Bank number they would have a record of it. They did not.

The caller ID comes up as "Wells Farg O Bank", sort of like "Land O Lakes", so this can't be legit. I also have no accounts or business with Wells Fargo, yet they have been hassling me from different phone numbers for the past two and a half years. Frustrating to say the least.

One more thing is that these calls from 1-954-926-5987 WELLS FARG O BANK and National Union Fire Insurance Co aka AIG, Inc. 1-877-740-3334 & 1-877-740-3335 all started 'after' I called WFB and filed complaints with the FTC , so this also proves that it's not an ex-employee doing the calling. It's definitely a telemarketer actually from WELLS FARGO INVESTMENT LLC who is doesn't work with the bank side or their telemarketer that they sell peoples info to.

KINDA of don't believe that a former WELLS FARGO BANK EMPLOYEE is making SCAM CALLS only because there are non customers getting calls from this number too. Also BS that they cannot do anything about someone taking peoples info from their files. It's a telemarketer that they sold peoples info to that's calling from this number ,when others have called WELLS FARGO they say you have to opt out on their form from these telemarketers that WELLS FARGO gives your info to. When I called they couldn't figure out how my number is being called because I have never had an account with them or done any business and have had this number for 16 years. And they said they couldn't help now only if I was a customer they could stop these telemarketing calls by opting out on their form.
WELLS FARGO BANK has been known for selling peoples info to telemarketers for years now and have been in court for these problems too, VERY SHADY business going on with WELLS FARGO who is owned by BUFFET the millionaire.

Telemarketer
WELLS FARG O BANK caller id that is probably a telemarketer that WELLS FARGO BANK gives/sells customers & non customers info to ,because my son has been getting numerous letters with WELLS FARGO BANK letter head and telemarketer offers such as AutoVantage Enhanced sign up and get a FREE IPod and several other offers from unscrupulous telemarkters that have numerous complaints against them in several states. When you call any WELLS FARGO BANK none of the managers & employees know anything about these numbers because the Corporate Office is the one selling cuntomers/non-customers info to these telemarkters. WELLS FARGO BANK has been sued for this in 2003 from customers that were called by these unscrupulous telemarketers with their information as well as bank account info. This info is on the website by entering WELLS FARGO BANK TELEMARKETING CALLS.These other numbers are a WELLS FARGO BANK telemarketer too 1-877-740-3334 & 1-877-740-3335.
