calls at 7:30am every morning......

I have received 3 calls from the number (954) 588-6815.  As I don't answer unfamiliar calls on my cell, I ignored all three.  However, curiosity got the best of me today.  I attempted to call the number (954) 588-6815 to find out who was trying to reach me.  The number went to voicemail; I hung up.

Five minutes later, a professional-sounding but incredibly rude gentleman returned my call from the number on this message board that others are now reporting...(954) 960-8682.  He stated someone had called without leaving a message.  I shared with him that I was trying to get to the bottom of the number that called me.  (I didn't notice a difference in the numbers at the time).  He rudely informed me that it was impossible I could've received a call from that number, insisted I read the number on my call ID back to him.  I did so...he again rudely declared that I was mistaken because I could not/did not receive a call from him.

A little funny, huh?  Three calls from one number, and when I return the call to the number in my phone's call ID  a "gentleman" calls me back from another number in the same area code and rips into me for saying someone from that number called me?!  As if I pulled the numbers from the sky?

Americom agent for Verizon Phone-Internet-TV uses automated dialer

Called offering to reduce my phone bill if I switched to Verizon, apparently they could save me 45%! Haha! I said I wasn't interested and hung up.

My caller ID showed that I received a call from this number, however, I was not here to answer the call.  The caller did not leave a message.  The telephone area code is in Florida.  

The same day and time that I received the call from that Florida telephone number, someone unknown to me put two unauthorized charges on my credit card.  The unauthorized charges were to a company in Florida where this telephone number originates.  

The unauthorized charges were not added with my credit card because my credit card never left my wallet.  The person who had the charges added to my credit card verbally told the merchant my credit card number and expiration date and three-digit code on the back of the card.  The person also told the merchant that he was me.    

Is this only a coincidence that an unknown call from a Florida number came in about the same time that two unauthorized Florida charges were added to my credit card while my billing address and domicile is California?

Called 2-10-11  asked if I knew someone named Carry and then hung up.   Weirdos

This is a Verizon reseller. I told them never to call me again at 10.29. They called again at 10.32. They claim they are not telemarketing because they only want to help me get a better rate from Verizon (a company I do not use).

I hold Verizon responsible for this flagrant violation of the TCPA.

I think the FCC should levy a monster fine on Verizon to get this stopped.

Because of this I will NEVER consider Verizon for ANY service, ever, and neither should you.

As Jodi reported, called several times in a single day on 11/02/2010 (so far); leaves no messages. Did not try to call back, as there are several places indicating it as an unwanted spam. My number is on a do-not-call registry, so I'm puzzled with this call. If this is on behalf of Verizon, I am not a Verizon customer, therefore as I don't have any business relationship with them Verizon should not call me. IF this is a Verizon call, as John seem to indicate above.
