Toby,

They're not the least bit confused.

Like roaches everywhere, they know exactly where the bright light is shining on them from.

It is just that some roaches run away from the light, and others run toward it.

I guess if the holder of the light were afraid of roaches, that might work.  Around here though, we don't hop on a table in fear, we just step on them.  Don't you love that crunchy popping sound? :)

Take care.

Why on earth would someone log onto a site dedicated to exposing telemarketing  scams to give cruise reviews?   They must have this site confused with Travelocity or something.

The mythical "Alice Johnson" said: "I'd recommend people."

You'd recommend people?  Wouldn't sheep be a better choice for populating the passenger list of a vessel which specializes in shearing the passengers?

Actually, the web site appears to be legit.

One of the worst things that can happen to a community is the building of a cruise terminal.  Like the building of casinos (which is what the tide washes up into your "cruise terminal") the jobs which come with it tend to be a lovely blend of minimum wage dead end employment, corrupt politicians and officials, mob types, and street criminals.

Just say no to gambling, casinos, and cruise terminals.  The tele-scammers trying to round up fodder for these gambling ships is a good example of what I mean.  Why aren't these calls stopped?  Too many politicians on the take would be my guess.

Political survey in exchange for a free cruise my sweet asp.

Bob,

There was an old TV show called, "I've Got A Secret".  Let's try playing it for just a moment.  I will guess your secret, and you tell me if I'm right or not.  Here goes:

You are one of the scammers, and you think that getting on here and lying will help you scoop up a few of the victims who are escaping your net because of this site.  The "cruise" is really a nightmarish trip through the bowels of Hell and you are the guide.  "Free" really means "somewhat more expensive than a nice legitimate cruise, plus you get to put your credit card info in the hands of a bunch of scammers".

What about it Bob, did I guess your secret?  I sure hope I didn't win one of your Charon Cruise Lines' River Styx cruises!

Scammers, you gotta love'em.  They're so cute with all of their inadequacies as human beings, and their inability to tell a convincing story.

Does this cruise ship take us to the moon as well? How about Mars? I prefer taking a cruise ship to Mars.

You must have got the LSD option then. Great imagination. But this post is as unconvincing as the dozen other you just made.

I was happy to see when I arrived that there was an actual company and trip reserved. Thought that the Luxor or Excalibur wouldn't let their clients get taken by a scam but who knows these days!  I have to admit I am glad I took the chance!  Nice trip!  Might take them up on their new crusie offer.

Didn't take the offer as they didn't include airfares and I live in Georgia. Perfect for people who can drive.

I had a great time.  Saw Chris Angels show and Cirque D' Soleil while I was there.  Just wish I had more time.  Didn't buy the timeshare but would recommend as they are nice and right on the strip.

Nice trip and everything was pretty much as they said it would be.  Thought it would be high pressure but was not.  Wish they had more of a choice with the show tickets...  I'd recommend people.

Just got back from Vegas trip and had a great time.  This is not the first time I got one of these weekend trips for taking a Timeshare presentation.  The room at the Luxior was nice and so was the Resort-Grandview that I looked at.  Told them it wasn't for me and went on my way.

Gto repeated calls from 954-969-1280.  Finally called them back and was happy to find out I had been selected for a return trip to Las Vegas.  All I had to do was take a look at their resort on the strip in Las Vegas while I was there which I did.  Nice place but I didn't buy the timeshare.   Experience was overall nice and I'd do it again.

Telemarketer
I got a call from this number that started with a short political survey (3 questions). As a reward for taking the survey, I was offered a two night/day Caribbean Cruise for two, just pay the upfront fees Uncle Sam demands. They even directed me to State of Florida website! All I had to do was give them my credit card number to pay the fees up front. When I told the agent that most people know it's never a good idea to give out credit card number in a case like this and if they were legit they could wait until I arrived, the agent said (I love this!), "Well, you give your credit card number in advance to airline companies when booking flights, it's the same thing!" I said, "no, because airline companies do not call me, I call them." He hung up on me!

They keep calling me, but won't leave a message and it always just disconnects when I answer the phone. I definitely didn't enter my number for a car raffle or anything like that, never been to Vegas, but they've called me 5 times now over the past couple months...

Never entered my phone number for a car drawing or anything like that but have been getting calls (once every two weeks or so) from this number for several months. When I've missed the call, they don't leave a message, when I answer no one responds and the call disconnects. Grr.

I have never been to Vegas and I don't enter myself in those contests for this exact reason... not sure how they got my number or why they're calling... they hang up before it reaches voicemail.

They have called me twice now saying that I won a free honeymoon.  When the caller asked which one I was interested in, I asked for details and he said to hold on and hung up.  The second time they called, I said I wasn't interested and the caller sounded surprised.  Go figure.  I won't be answering this number anymore.

Stayed at the Grandview Hotel.  Could this be the common link to these unwanted phone calls?  I don't remember entering any contests to win cars as I am on to that scheme.

They have continued to call and got really pushy with me saying "What are you concerned about?" Then mumbled something about a hold on my credit card to register for a trip I can take anytime in next two years. Then I asked for information to be emailed to me to review with my fiance. The guy on the phone's name was Howard, the email came from a Yahoo account for someone else and the email flyer looked like a 5 year old did it in PAINT! No way I'm giving them my credit card #!!!!

I am not sure if I entered for a drawing while in Ft. Lauderdale last April or if the calls are related to my Florida wedding in April 2012.  I answered once and hung up on them as they were trying to offer a time share tour and a free honeymoon cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.  They call me just about every day while I am at work on my cell phone.  Today when I asked to be taken off the list I was mid-sentence and the guy hung up on me.
