Christopher was nervous, I asked him to cut through the chase and tell me what they are selling, I thought leads and he said, ha ha ha, not actually, that's what most people think. We are a directory...I asked, so your selling directory space, he said YES, I said thank you for the call, not interested  and hung up.

Much to my chagrin, there is a B2B stipulation in the Do Not Call legislation. When you advertise a phone number (i.e. posting it on your website), other businesses are exempt from the DNC list if calling about a product/service related to the business (industry) for which the number was advertised. I was getting repeated calls from one of those "We've got SOOOO many incredible, qualified leads that you could never find" companies. When I threatened to report them for violating my DNC registration, they pointed out the provision referenced above in a "Nanner-nanner-boo-boo" tone. *SMACK*
Might I recommend a Google Voice number you can advertise & route the calls to your cell &/or home or office phone? I found this board while marking this number as "SPAM," which blocks ALL their calls to me & anyone who has "Global Spam Filtering." Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I got the call from 813-546-3541 But the voicemail said to call her back at 954-983-8668 X3028 she only gave a first name. I agree with other people when someone is trying to deceive me from the beginning I am not going to give them my business. My first clue was the different numbers, second clue was just a first name, third clue was no company name or reason for calling. 4th clue was she called right back when I didn't answer the first time.  I think she wanted to sound like a potential client and to not let me know from the beginning who she was.

Phone number that showed up on my phone was a 561-952-2500. Number left to call back to was 954-983-8668. Asked do you want more clients? We are not a lead generation, or telemarket company. right. Kinda like when some one says I'm a christian... run!

I got a call from this same number and a girl started by asking if I was accepting new clients. I didn't answer the question but usually first ask how much is your referral fee. I think she said we generate leads. She asked me again was I accepting new clients and I didn't answer but asked her what is the name of your company and she hung up on me. As Realtors, we should all just stop paying any kind of money to these "middlemen"  and keep it for ourselves. We work very hard to make a living and to have these blood suckers trying to feed off us isn't right. I will; however, take a legitimate referral from another realtor. There are ways that you can generate leads on your own and it would be money better spent. IE Farm and area. There's another scam that goes on that I've gotten many calls about....advertising in some Country Club directory. Don't fall for it. It's a total scam.

Nancy if you are in fact a realtor then leave ur full name and web site. Ur not or u would have.

They left a message on my cell phone and all it said was "F*cked up."  I certainly will never do business with these rude people!

I am of course going to be disgruntled if you call ME with out introducing your self , without being honest about your intent of call,  and then wasting my time on a Monday morning..if you cannot explain your company and you want to cop an attitude because I asked are you representing a company trying to sell me something or is this a broker to broker referral than go jump in a lake. Don't call me. I have real customers and clients to spend my time with.

I have received 23 calls this year so far from this number & not  1  message/voicemail.  
Can't want my business very badly if they won't even let me know who they are.
And they wonder why people don't answer these calls.  If you are going to robo call or pay someone to spend there day cold calling drumming up business, maybe you should share the company name / service you offer. If not legit - then why waste your time even if you are making minimum wage??????? You might have better luck selling vacuum cleaners or magazines door to door......

Yeah, pretty smart to support these companies by buying leads that should be coming to you site from someone else.

I just received a call from her too. I could tell right away she was going to try to sell me something just the way she started talking like she already knew me. If she knew me, she would know I still sell real estate. I did not answer her question  but instead asked her to kindly remove my name from her list. She replied that she has no idea what I was talking about regarding a list and that SHE is actually looking to buy. Then with attitude said, that's fine I will find another agent.

Note to caller: Telemarketers wonder why they have a bad rep....its because they have no scruples. So this goes out to you because I am sure you read these. If someone is not interested in your product just say ......ok, thank you...... or ok, have a nice day. And save yourself some disappointment and don't call the folks on the DNC list.

Reputable companies use and honor the "Do Not Call Lists".  If you are registered on the do not call list and you get calls on your cell phone, report it to the FCC.  I am personally fed up with these calls to my cell phone.  Why do companies continue to call when you do not answer their calls? I never answer. But, I always check this site and report it immediately to FCC..

Am so sick of this company contacting me.  I am on a do not call list.  I have repeatedly and repeatedly told them to remove me from their list.  The calls stop for awhile; then start up again.  I have already turned this company into the DONOTCALL website.  Still no luck in stopping them.

Always the same script : " I got your name off the internet and was wondering if you were still selling residential real estate.  If you are; please call me back at ........."

Blood sucking BOGUS Lead Peddlers, only a fool will give these parasites a thought.

As a real estate professional for 20 years, I utilize numerous technologies to obtain leads, but I never pay for them.  If I did not seek you out and you want to give me a lead, you had better be a past client, or another real estate agent. The laws of our state prohibit paying an unlicensed individual a referral fee, and most of these type lead services are not. (Even then, I only pay a referral fee after the client being referred either buys or sells.)

The worst part is I can assure you that any lead sent from these folks has not been properly qualified to assure they are a genuine "ready, willing, and able" buyer (or seller for that matter). These folks usually have a nifty website where they can sucker in visitors to give up their contact info, which they then sell to the weakest real estate agents in the market, i.e. those who are too lazy or too weak minded to generate their own business through professional behaviors which result in referrals and repeat business from past clients.

I get calls and spam email from these fools constantly and my response to them is always the same....
"Go pound sand, you'll get more out of it."

If you are a real estate agent reading this, do yourself and our profession a favor, be professional in every sense of the word and you clients will help you build your business. Otherwise, if you are one of those who take the lazy way out an pay these guys a fee for unqualified leads, you are probably one of those no one will remember nor think about in six months or a year and I will pick up some of your past clients.

I answered, the guy said hello, Jenny? Yes. Do you sell residential real estate? No, not anymore. then he hung up on me. Nice. What if I wanted to talk? LOL! the number comes up as RealEstateAgents.com or something like that.

Continue to receive calls from 954-983-8668 -- with promises for real estate leads -- buyers who are actively and aggressively seeking to purchase in my target market area. They want up-front fees and enrollment in their website instead of a paid fair referral fee after the transaction as closed.

Just received a call from this number. I did not answer.  They did leave a message (with the caller's name, number and extension) and asked that I return their call if I am still a real estate agent.  I am not, I will not bother to return the call. They said they got my name off the internet.

As soon as I said NO - she hung up - wants to sell real estate leads in Michigan - what a joke. There's a shortage of homes and more buyers out here than there are homes for sale

I got a call this morning from them, "hello this is Steven.  I got your number from Realtor" and he hung up!

I have received two calls within an hour. I did not answer either and they both went to voice mail. one message says the call is from "Jill" and the other from "June"! Both say they got my name from my company website and wantto know if I still did residential real estate. No company name was mentioned either time.

This company called my real estate office throughout the day. It's the same woman every time. She has attempted to disguise her voice but failed. She asks for real estate agents who haven't been in business for YEARS! I finally told her this morning that she was given an old contact list to cold call from and she hung up on me.
