I kept getting call from the number too and kept ignoring it. Well, when I finally called it back it was a girl. she was nice and helpful. I kept getting calls but they weren't even for me. Well the woman took my number off their list and told me that since they weren't looking for me, if I would've called in earlier the number would've been removed and I wouldn't have been getting calls. I don't know who anyone else talked to but the one girl was very nice and polite too.

They are required by law to send you a copy of the bill if you request they validate the debt.  Fair debt collection practices act of 1977.

Be careful. They called me about a bill that I already paid 2 years ago. I hear that companies are trying to still collect on bills you have already paid. They had a bunch of mis-information on me and when I tried to let him know that he became loud and belligerent.

I got a call on my cell phone.  They hung up before I answered it.  My cell phone is a tracfone and I do not give out the number to anyone unless it's someone I want to have it.  I noticed a missed call from this number back in July also.

These creeps been calling me.  I don't answer the call.  They don't leave any message.

Received a call from this number stating it was a cell phone. They did not leave message. I have blocked them based upon comments above.

They called me from this number saying they were looking for my brother to deliver some legally binding documents.  They also called my mother.  This "Mr. Stewart" has been calling my brother's house for months!  They have just ignored it so far, but it is a nuisance.  If there were really legal papers to be delivered, wouldn't they have a Sheriff's Deputy serve them?  And I'm not so sure they would be allowed to divulge info about debts you owe anyhow!

Got a call this morning at work from someone named Hollace. He never said where he was calling from. He just said they are trying to verify an address to serve legal documents to me. Told me to call him at 956-238-2034 with the info. If he had enough information to call my place of business then he should have all my other information as well...Funny how they can call and harrass you yet they will not supply any information for you to contact them other then a bogus number...There need to be tougher laws regarding this type of harassment. It is very annoying...

The same person calls, however he uses a different name, Archer & Hollis are the most recent.  I reported them to the FTC/BBB.  Very rude!!

brian archer called and is looking for my son calls at 7:30 amCST Sat morning fails to identify they are a collection agency, I called back 9 times sometimes getting thru and other times being ignored and no response. When I finally talked to someone they provided me with no information, told me to google the number and hung up. The people I contacted who use the phone for a living suddenly don't want to people on the phone to talk to claiming I am harrassing them. Got a call from 956 238-2034. At first I did not answer plus the number was blocked from my cell phone. Out of curiosity I called back. Some guy says he is trying to reach someone I know about a bill. Obviously this guy does not know privacy laws in NY because it is against the law to reveal info about a third party owing money on the phone. I told him he had the wrong number and he hung up.

Got a call today from a woman at the phone numb4r 956-238-2034 about an old bill I have not been able to pay.  I told her I would not be in a position to pay until the end of the year.  She asked to speak to Human Resources and I told her no.  I would pay her when I said I would.  She said she was filing a judgment against me and was going to tell HR.  I told her "good luck," and hung up on her.

yea i know what you mean I got another call from these people and asked for a detailed bill to my address they get all rude because i dont want a fax or an email, i want a legal document. This number calls my house.. no message.. but it shows up as a cell call.. really?? I don't answer unknown numbers or unnamed callers.. but a cell call us usually from someone you know.. when I called back.. a man who was so rude answered and actually YELLED at me about some past due bill that I have no idea to whom it was due.. when I asked for a bill with detail.. he got so mad.. and told me that if I didn't pay up the bill or make some arrangment to pay, he would see me in court.. really??  tried to say my county would jail me .. I work as a chief court clerk.. come on fool..
  Don't answer this call.. if you owe something .. to someone out there. A bill in the mail isn't asking to much.. proof that you owe to someone is a fair request.. and a threat like that.. isn't going to make anything any better.. DO NOT let someone pressure you into sending them a dime if you arn't sure you owe it.. there are to many people out there working scams.. and.. buisness people do not call from cell phones .. UGH!!!

I got a strange call from this number asking me about an acct that was paid off and they hung up... then I got m paper work together about this acct and they told me now it was about a different acct that I had no knowledge of.... i requested a copy of this acct and a letter in the mail.... he wouldnt do it... said that you people who ask for documentation never pay so why would they waste a stamp on sending you anything.... i then asked for the address and he still did not and then just hung up..... sounds like fruad in everyway possible... he would only email me what I asked him.... but not a legal document ! WATCH OUT !!!!

I forgot to mention now I no longer get those 800 service calls since The guy hung up on me. answering might put a stop to the calls.

I got a call a few days ago from a # that only said 800 service and it was a collector representing BMG music service. I haven't been with them in over 4 years and left my account where they owed me 3 free CD's and they said I could only get free ones from a certain list that was all crap. I told them to just close my account if thats how they work. I owed them nothing yet this collector claimed I owed $99 when I explained this to the guy from India (barely able to understand him) He hung up. Be careful there are a lot of Co, trying to run scams. BMG music is no longer even in business. If you google them it comes up columbia music service but no longer deal with selling CD's that I could see they just do downloads.
 I also warn to watch out if your looking for a job as I got scammed by a guy claiming to have a job as a building maintenace person. He claimed I would get the job, I just had to go to a web site and fill out a few questions (site looked legit) and I was given a special PW to log in and they claimed I'd be getting a Co. credit card for buying materials. So I needed a copy of my credit report so they could see if I'm a trustworthy person. They even recommended a credit report site that was free. I did this and instantly was charged $30 by Experian yes Experian is running a scam as they aren't making money with no one buying homes in this economy so they are paying people to run scams and get them business. Its all linked to freecreditreport.com. What a great scam a site that says free but charged my bank account before I was even off their site. My bank has refunded the $30 and are working on getting this cleared up. I also reported them to an internet frraud site run by the FBI and they know the exact condo in WA state where the fraud is being run from
So just remember even if you answer the phone I will in the future as they can't hurt you just cause you answered. but you'll find out who is looking for you and you can always report scams by phone or internet here:  http://www.ic3.gov/about/default.aspx or http://www.ic3.gov/contact/default.aspx they also have a link called Mass Market Fraud that has many helpfulk links. Help the country fight fraud by using these.

Not sure who this is but i will not answer unknown numbers because they have been solicitors in the past.

Debt Collector call, they don't leave a message but they certainly tell you who they are when you call back!

got a call - no message left.  Googled it and got this great website of information sharing.  It must be a bill collector.  Won't answer in the future.  I have MagicJack and I let the computer screen and answer all calls.  I don't even have the telephone ringer turned on - so no interruptions!  I just check the Caller ID log and return those calls I recognize and google the rest.

This number has called four times over the last few days, but has left no message. I dialed it back and got this recording: "The person at extension 501 is unavailable. Please leave your message after the tone..." Sounds like something other than a wireless caller to me. I'm blocking it.

same thing - no message, and the caller id just says name unavailable.  Now I do a phone number search here everytime I get a wierd # even if it is a local number
