This guy contacted me after I'd placed an "I want to buy" ad on New Orleans craigslist asking for my final price.

I got a call from her today she says her name is Julie, she wants to send me a certified check drawn on a local bank, and just for my troubles she will include an extra 50 bucks, She wants to ship a fish tank, a big one, crazy crazy

This man is a complete idiot when it comes to trying to scam someone. He sent me a certified check in the amount of $1900 for a piano in New York. When I asked him of the bank name address and phone number and also the name of the issuer he refused to respond. Also the routing number was no where to be found on the national registry for checks. I followed through with letting him send a check because it could've been real, but I was not going to cash the check until it was validated. I would like to know how to go about getting this guy locked up for fraud since not everyone will be stern enough to spot a fake check when sent. This man is a moron. I will be taking the check to the local police department and hopefully they will forward it to the FBI. This man sent a fake check to the wrong person!!

Yet another message. I'm in Michigan and he wants to buy my piece of granite on Craigslist via certified check and will arrange for local pickup. Scam.

A guy in Texas wants to buy my broken bike project? I doubt it. This is an obvious Craigslist paypal scam artist. If you arrived at this page, you're suspicions have been confirmed.
