This is from a malicious caller, who will run up your toll free bill relentlessly. They call from a different number each time, to prevent your phone company from blocking them. They hang up as soon as you answer and do not pick up if you call back. This last call came at night, waking me from a sound sleep. AT&T's subsidiary Southwest Bell appears to be providing phone service to these people, although it has been repeatedly told what they are doing and asked to cancel the account. All this conduct appears violate federal law. The FCC has opened a case, but will not take action until more victims complain. You can file a complaint through their web site. Refer to their Case # 11-T00802695-1. It also helps to ask your congressional representatives to follow up with the FCC,

We have 2 lines at work that we get these calls on.  The calls happen almost daily, several times a day.  There is never anyone on the other end.  One of our lines happens to have an 800 # attached to it, the other does not and we get the calls there as well.  We got our 800 # bill today, and that's when I saw all these different numbers from Harlingen, TX.  I researched it here and saw the same complaints.

We have had 17 instances of 956 area code calls from Harlingen TX, most with 412, 364, 365 and 440 exchanges.

All hang ups within seconds of answering, no voice.

Called at 2:48 am when phone was answered no one was there!!!!

I am getting them too when I call them back there is no answer. They call all hours of the day and even into the night or early AM. It is frusterating I wish that they would STOP!

New news... we believe these spammers are apparently calling randomly, seeking fax machines. When they detect anything other than a fax burst, they disconnect. If anyone has received a fax from them, please share it.

Our company provides toll-free numbers to thousands of businesses throughout the US and Canada. Every political season, this organization in southern Texas apparently dials every toll-free number, in sequence. We track (and must pay for) thousands and thousands of these unwanted calls. I guess they figured out that somebody else has to pay for them (precisely why autodialing them is illegal). Their motives are mysterious, as they rarely succeed in transmitting any message. We block calls from all their known numbers, but they just spoof new ones. Our complaints to the FCC bring no relief.

Getting calls in early morning for about 2 month's, wakes me up.  When it's dialed it only sounds dialing tones, obviously dialing other numbers.  I reported to the national do not call list: 888-382-1222.  Caller ID shows: 956-364-2595

Call from 956 364 2567 @ 3.24 am Sunday.

dead air - call back and it states the # is not in service...

multiple calls before 7 am.  redial call get auto dialer sound or busy signal.

This has been going on for a few weeks. The calls are from "A Concerned Citizen", so I imagine they're being sent out by a group who hasn't figured out how to configure their autodialers.

HANG UP CALL

I have been getting all kinds of calls from 956-364 #'s, 956-365 #'s and 956-423 #'s including 3 just today.

When I try calling back I get a computer that continues to dial one number after another and each time I say hello or anything else it hangs up and dials the next number.

I am about ready to commence a class-action suit in federal court and would be interested in hearing from anyone else interested in participating.
